The historic Innere Enge has been a popular excursion destination for the people of Bern since the early 18th century. Distinguished visitors include the Empress Josephine (wife of Napoleon I) who was guest of honour on the occasion of a Grand Djeuner in 1810. The Innere Enge was completely renovated in 1992 and with much love and dedication to detail, transformed into a delightful hotel. The superb establishment, set in an oasis of green, rapidly became a favourite rendezvous for politicians, businessmen and artists, and at the same time, a popular homefrom- home for international masters of jazz and their fans. Marians Jazz Room is the heart of the hotel, an is known as one ot the best jazz clubs in the world. 2 concerts are given daily, Tuesdays to Saturdays from September to May.
