Visitors to the United Kingdom would be hard pressed to find a town with more contradictions than Glastonbury. Arthurians know that Glastonbury Cathedral is the supposed burial site of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, as well as where sir Galahad found the Holy Grail. Christians also recognize this site as being founded by Saint Joseph, where the Well sprung. Yet, despite the obvious historical ties to Christianity, Glastonbury has a large Wicca population. The town sits in the shadow of the Tor, which is thought by some to have once been the Isle of Avalon—an important site to ancient pagans. What all this means is just that Glastonbury truly has a little something for everyone.
