This authentic classical hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Japan. An old main building is one of the memorial and historical buildings in Yokohama. The hotel is suitable for leisure travelers looking around Yokohama area and also is recommendable to business travelers who would like to be based in Yokohama area but would like to be in relaxing environment before and after work. But each building has quite different characteristic. The main is a few stories historical landmark and New Grand Tower is a modern, 18-storey building. The hotel is on the best location for sightseeing in Yokohama, facing the bay of Yokohama overlooking Yamashita Park, between Motomachi and Minato-Mirai district. China Town is just two blocks away and other sightssing spots are also within walking distance. It is also convenient to go outside the area. It takes one minute walk from Motomachi Chukagai station on Minatomirai Subway line that directly connects with Yokohama station in 10 minutes, or Shibuya Station in 40 minutes. It takes 15 minutes by car from Yokohama Station.
