Phuket is an idyllic island in the Andaman Sea with long sandy beaches and warm water that is excellent for snorkeling, windsurfing, and scuba diving. There are lots of attractive resorts along with the busy Patong commercial strip and nightlight that is simply hopping. Visitors can also explore the Thalang National Museum, and visit some of the Buddhist temples scattered about the island like Wat Chalong, their most famous temple, Wat Pra Nahng Sahng, which houses three Buddha images made of tin, and Wat Pra Tong. Then for the stout-hearted tourist, there is the famous Jungle Bungy Jump in Kathu near Patong where the enterprising visitor can jump out one-hundred-fifty feet over the water.
