There is a lot more to Reno than gambling so don't make the mistake of confusing it with the fantasy realm of exotic casino-hotels found in Las Vegas. Sure there are lots of casinos where people can gamble to their heart's content but there is so much more to do as well. The city's proximity to Lake Tahoe means that avid outdoorsmen can go skiing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, golfing, kayaking and lots more as well. Reno also has the National Automobile Museum with a century's worth of automobiles, The Nevada Museum of Art for art lovers, and the Nevada Historical Society, the state's oldest museum filled with loads of artifacts on Nevada's history.
