Founded in 1769, Santa Ana is located along the Santa Ana River in Orange County and offers various attractions to keep a visitor busy throughout their stay, including Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Santa Ana's Bowers Museum with Aborigine bark paintings from the rancho and mission art periods. Other places of interest are the Discovery Museum with loads of hands-on learning exhibits to excite and interest the whole family, historic downtown, the Santa Ana Zoo with its exotic animals, Knott's Berry Farm, which is another theme park, and the palace of Maharajah of Indore that is filled with treasures and was valued at around twenty-million dollars in 1939.
