When you visit you will step into the past, with a modern twist. The new owner is Marilyn Doheny, a world famous Contemporary Quilt Artist, author, decorator, and gourmet chef!
Marilyn fondly calls the Melrose Inn “The Grand Old Dame” and has been bringing her back to life! The inn has been extensively remodeled, renovated, and intimately decorated. Your stay here will be friendly, memorable, comfortable, and inspiring! We serve tea or coffee to your door every morning before breakfast! A hearty breakfast is served daily. And we invite you to sit on our large, social porch any time.
Marilyn Doheny furnished and decorated the inn with hundreds of art objects from her personal collections. It is filled with beautiful and unusual pieces.
It is possible to rent one room for an extended stay or reserve exclusive use of all facilities at Melrose Inn for your event: weddings, private parties, banquets, or your very own seminar.
