Centrally located on Interstate 35 between Austin and Dallas, Waco is a medium-size town with a lot of Texas history. The city, founded in 1849, straddles the famous Brazos River, which features the scenic River Walk, and has almost 20 major museums and attractions that appeal to the whole family including the expansive Cameron Park, Cameron Zoo, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum and the Dr Pepper Museum. Other must-see locations including the restored warehouse district and the revitalized downtown area and the various boutiques, shops, restaurants and more.
