Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan

The location is convenient. The breakfast was very good.

I had flight delays and was supposed to arrive around 3p-4p. I ended up not getting in until 5am. I called several times to see what my options were and the staff was rude and said I could give up my room of 4 nights or pay for the night I wasn’t actually there. Ok fine. I’ll pay for 4 full nights. When I arrived I was given a room that had mold growing on the ceiling above the bed. I requested another room. I was given a temporary room and told that my room with two double beds would be reassigned to me the next day. I went down at 10am and made sure that it’s was known what my room situation was and that I would be back in the afternoon to be given keys to my new room. Came back at 4:30pm and was told that no room was approved for me because I booked through booking.com. I had to have a long conversation with the Assistant Manager who told me I booked an ADA room and I couldn’t just ask for a two double bed room because I messed up. I told her I didn’t that I was given an ADA room because of mold on the ceiling in the room assigned to me when I arrived. I had to show my booking reservations to show I was not lying about my reservation. I finally got a room and was told they would waive the $35 daily service fee that covers Wifi, etc. Well good thing we could never even get on the WiFi because it was so bad. The new room I was assigned to had mold all over the bathroom. See pictures below. After so much trouble and poor service previously in sucked it up and didn’t complain. When you stay at a hotel such as the Crown Plaza it is known for its prestige and cleanliness. I’m paying $1800 for 4 nights for a dirty room with mold. I will never stay at this hotel again. I’ve stayed at LaQuintas that we’re nicer than this and more than half the cost. Don’t pay for a room with a view because the hotel really doesn’t have a direct view of Times Square. You have to lean over and look way down the street to actually see Times Square.

The second night key card didn't work, waited in a long line to get it re-activated. The clerk Frank's customer service was really bad. He was using his index figer at me, instead of explaining the situation.

Just the location....

They didn't want to honor the military rate. It is the first time it has happened. I booked the reservation on-line but in all hotels they don't have any problem adjusting it once you check in. Very unfortunate....I wont come again if they dont solve this for this occassion
