perfect for our one night stay
The place was clean and perfectly located near the train station. If you're looking for a quiet stay this is perfect because it's not on a main street. Access the water buses quickly near the train station. I recommend traveling during daytime when you arrive so you don't feel nervous navigating at night through narrow (not abnormal) passages. Great little restaurants nearby. One lady at the concierge doesn't speak English and the other does but both were friendly. The rooms are simple and plenty of outlets and very clean. The breakfast was nice and simple. Venice is so small that you can rarely get a bad location so focus on how loud or quiet you want your area to be. This area also have a nice common area with more restaurants and boutiques so you won't feel like you are isolated either.
Our room was on the third floor and had to walk up quite a few stairs to get there. I recommend calling ahead of time or emailing them through kayak to request a room lower if you have trouble waking up stairs or are pregnant. Our biggest complaint was the lady being very hesitant on taking my credit card to pay for the room and kept suggesting that I get money from an atm to pay for the room. If credit card is such a burden then you should not accept it at all.
