Suorat lennot Helsingistä Roomaan kestävät noin 3 tuntia ja 30 minuuttia. Välilaskullisen lennon kesto on yleensä vähintään viisi tuntia riippuen välilaskun pituudesta. Helsingistä saapuvat lennot laskeutuvat Fiumicinon lentokentälle. Noin 19 kilometrin päässä Rooman keskustasta sijaitsee Ciampinon lentokenttä (Rome Ciampino Airport). The flight was missed in trying to find what went wrong and when called the flight network they told that due to insufficient time between booking and departure time they canceled the reservation. Sat on the tarmac for over an hour and the crew or pilot did not say a word. The beverage service again was lacking compared to other international business class flights I’ve taken."

Miinukset: "Boarding process at IST was a challenge. We left from a remote gate, and the agent didn't seem interested in the boarding process. I heard no announcements, maybe because it didn't matter as everyone was crowding the door 15 minutes before boarding began. The agent seemed perturbed, but I've seen it on almost every Italian bound flight. No one wants to wait. It is actually a bit amusing to watch the struggle between boarding policies and a group of people who seem determined to ignore them. The buses were also pretty well packed. More so in Rome than IST. Not much organization in loading at either place. After all the passport control they left us to walk outside to wait for the bus. Maybe you can tell I'm not a fan of remote gates."

We left a half an hour late and the flight was already at 10pm. It was a pretty terrible experience! And the section of the Istanbul airport we were in was pretty dirty. Also the movie they played had two language options but no English which was disappointing."

This airline needs to know how to treat their passengers well."

Miinukset: "The Frankfort airport is a nightmare. They have loooooooong gateways, so when I Finally got through security FOR THE THIRD TIME, it’s a 10 minute, speed-walk to the gate. Again, a flight delay was the only thing that made the connection possible. I made it to the gate with 3 minutes to spare, so no time for the bathroom, no time to get lunch or even a bottle of water, no time period. And at the end of it all, my bag is lost."

Miinukset: "Not only was the flight delayed, but there was confusion at the gate for boarding of even first or business class. We had to carry our luggage down 2 flights of stairs to get on a bus, which then transported us a very long ways away on the tarmac. Then it was an older model plane and the engine noise, even though we were up front, was extremely loud! It was somewhat worrisome. The food was terrible and by the end of the 90 minute flight our rears were sore from the poor seat cushioning. Not a good experience at all. All of this was after a terrible experience and delay just trying to connect flights within the German airport and the security delays that probably would have made us lose our flight if it wasn't delayed. There needs to be a better system if you are not staying in Germany but just connecting flights from the same airline!"

Miinukset: "My connecting flight to Rome wasn't listed on any monitors, and four people couldn't find Terminal A on the map. Fortunately I found some fellow Americans who also couldn't find Terminal A , lower numbered gates, from our current Z gate. We went to the right, following most disembarked passengers and signs for some A gates....a mess! In the end, we had to go all the way back, past our original gate to a Customs area where they just stamped our passports and onward to our gates. It seemed like the signs only helped if you were going in the correct direction to begin with. Even my German friend said how bad that airport is for directions!"

My carry-on weighed 8 kg, like is required by the rules. While boarding my flight, the woman at the counter told me my bag had to be checked because there were too many carry-ons on the flight. I asked her that I keep my bag because I had medication in there, and she didn't listen to me at all. She just kept repeating that i have to check my bag, and then took my bag from me and gave it to the baggage crew there. I didn't want to make a huge scene because the flight is only 2 hours and I hoped i Could deal without my medication during that time, but I found it incredibly, incredibly rude and awful to not listen to a passenger."

Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."
Plussat: "Efficiency and speed of boarding was acceptable. I have no complaints about that aspect. The Comfort+ seats were worth the upgrade, pretty comfortable and reasonable legroom unless you have a big carry on stowed under the seat in front of you."
Miinukset: "The first announcement they made to all of us in the economy section was thay they did not have any headphones for anyone but business class. I was told when I booked the seat that the headphones would be complementary. So I did not bother to bring any assuming they were going to keep their word; I figure I'd make it work and watch a movie without sound. If that isn't bad enough midway through my nine hour flight my monitor went out and would not turn back on."

Within a few hours (and thanks to airline assistance) we were able to locate the suitcase. Even then it took them two days to bring it to us, two precious days off our planned vacation (7 days) At the end of the shortened vacation, we got to the chek in, and told that since the ticket I had purchased form them two months earlier was too cheap ... and since the flight was Over booked, they would take me off the plane if all the passengers would arrive. It's unnecessary to describe what I felt until the plane took off. They apologize constantly, but do nothing practical. a bae company. no me nor my freinds/family will go with KLM"

Miinukset: "The space is no longer a respectful space. Paid 32 Euros for my seat, there was not enough space, the man beside me kept jabbing me on the ribs."

Ground staff in Marseiile great but gate crew didn't control carry on baggage and many of us could not use overhead bins because of passengers who stowed more than one and often oversized suitcases above, so we and many others had to place carry on suitcases under seat. Attendant on plane totally unhelpful and could have rearranged a few bags to make room but preferred to stay in back of plane and talk. To be fair, rest of flight was pleasant although late due in part to boarding issues."

Miinukset: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."
