La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Sheboygan

Didn't partake in the breakfast - although it seemed nice. (however, please read my comment) Gotta question the cleanliness not only of the eating area but then it makes you wonder about the rooms as well. How "clean" or better yet, disinfected are they - really. Appeared to be surface clean(ish) Location was good, very convenient and easy off the highway. Price I thought was a a bit steep and no discount offered.

The clerk upon check-in asked for my ID and credit card. As I dug it out she went to put on gloves (which I appreciate in leu of everything going on). However, after she took my cards (wearing gloves), she placed them on the counter in front of the keyboard and used one hand to type in the information, then slid them across the counter to pick them up and hand them back to me. Then she handed me the pen that was one the counter with her gloves for me to sign our paperwork. Now, I work in the healthcare field and I said something to her about using the gloves but then putting my cards on the counter only to hand them back to me a few minutes later. I tried to explain that had she kept the cards in her gloved hand I would not have had an issue with that. She said that she was "only protecting herself", however in doing so, she potentially just contaminated my cards by placing them on the counter in front of her, and ultimately me. Not to mention the pen. Guests arrived right after us and she never even changed gloves. You need to educate the employees about proper cross-contamination and they should be wiping down everything with bleach wipes between each customer as well as donning new, clean gloves. The next day, the same employee was on her lunch break in the breakfast area as we waited there for the rest of our group. Myself and another lady in our party watched her as she ate her food - an obviously used mask laying on the table along with her lunch. After she ate she proceeded to dig way to the back of her mouth (several times) to dig food out of her teeth with her long, disgusting, manicured fake nails. She then picked up her mask and went back to work behind the counter. I never saw her wash her hands or clean anything. Truly disgusting. But hey, I guess she was only "protecting herself"

No pool. Confussion with price at check in because the reserved block was closed early. Wait during check in.

The breakfast are poor. just carb no protein. The location is good.

Better customer service and better breakfast.

Upon checking in no one came to desk for what seemed like 7-10 minutes. for the star rate I expected more modern accommodations it was clean though.
