The staff was amazing, warm and welcoming. The main areas and rooms were spotless. The decor was beautiful. There were plenty of food options, however, they closed at midnight. Overall, a great hotel.
Would have liked to have a microwave in the room. However, there is one on every floor. My biggest complaint is that the walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything, so much, to the fact that I could hear the guest in the neighboring room pulling the chain to close their blinds.
TERRIBLE HOTEL DO NOT STAY HERE
The hotel is undergoing massive renovations and I had to suffer through a jackhammer the entire time I stay there. I was traveling for business and could not work in the hotel room. The hotel managers had no solutions and basically left me to deal with the noise. The hotel also does not have a gym And gas have to walk across the street to visit another hotel to use their gym
Average but good enough
This didn’t seem like a premiere property. They gave me early check in and I think they upgraded my room but the property seemed older.

Not worth it
I liked the room and where the hotel was located
I paid too much and was constantly dealing with hassles like slow elevators, stupid rules, staff that lied about a room being available. We paid $310 for a room and $42 to park and couldn't get free Wifi, really? The Valets were rude and they basically forced me to use baggage handlers.
Great location, excellent people
The location is very convenient -- on Canal right between the French Quarter and the CBD. The rooms and facilities are very comfortable and well appointed. There was nothing lacking. What really separates this hotel, though, is the staff. From the front desk people, to the people on the door, to housekeeping, to the valets, everyone was amazingly friendly and helpful. A very positive attitude permeates this hotel. I certainly would stay again.
The only negative aspects were that the hotel's front (on Canal) is undergoing a major renovation which makes it hard to find the hotel from Canal and, sort of related to this, the actual front desk/check in area is not on Canal at all. It's on Common. I understand the hotel wanting a Canal address, but it does make it confusing to find the check-in area.

The bell hops were nice and that's about all I can say nice about the place.
When we got there they couldn't find our reservation. They put us in a tiny room. (We paid extra for a corner executive king.) After 4 hours the room was still at 80 degrees. We were moved to a corner executive king (what we should had have from the beginning.) We called down to the front desk for a bottle opener waited 2 hours they never brought it up. The pool was dirty and disgusting. They claim its a 4 star hotel but we will never stay here again. We should have gone to the double tree.

Nice and clean. Close to the main attraction.
Noise when trying to sleep. Air vents would slam down making a loud noise and jolted me awake all night. Out of items more than once when ordering room service. Cold pool with no hot tub.
Wonderful service, comfortable and clean. Great location for us. Would love to stay there again.
