Those of us with connecting flights are royally f*cked at that point, especially if your connection is short, as mine was. The so-called shuttle to the departure terminals, which are entire kilometers away, was to arrive in like half an hour. HALF AN HOUR. Who has this time to spare?? The alternative to the shuttle is paying a taxi that charges a hefty fare--and God help you if you don't have cash. The departures terminal was swamped and only thru begging assistance and line cuts did I make my connection...and then only by the skin of my teeth. It was a complete nightmare."

That same plane, upon taking off back to DTW blew a tire upon take-off, had to do an emergency landing and everyone had to spend the night in NOLA after being delayed all day."

The baggage belt was backed up and therefore the staff couldn’t check in more travelers. This, we learned, not from the staff, but from walking around and noting the stacks of luggage etc Far better would have been for them to inform the 200 or so people that were waiting in line for 1 hour. You must pay for anything on the flight. A small bag of peanuts or such would be nice."

Upon arrival to the airport, the rather unambitious fellow at the check-in desk refused to look up my reservation and instead insisted that my flight was in fact through American Airlines. After waiting in yet another queue, I was sent back to British Airways, where it was confirmed that Iwas booked on the flight, but that it would be to late to check my suitcase. I am still at my city of origin in London as I write this review."

Miinukset: "The biz class seats on BA are just horrible. The biz class service - BA aren’t even trying to match other airlines. A stingy snenities kit and a blanket doesn’t come close to qantas or emerites. The food is an embarrassment - microwave dinners over heated is a a generous description. Crew do as little as possible (they don’t want to be they’ve either)"

When BA transfered the data to AA, they lost the seat assignments which I found out about at the last minute and ended up spending almost $400 to get acceptable seats. Could not get boarding passes at our origin in Rome and had to wait in line at LHR. Boarding seemed very disorganized."

Plussat: "Was able to get a bulkhead seat. Wheelchair staff were very efficient at LHR and TPA. Wheelchair helpers were very efficient and friendly."
Miinukset: "The there was not a legroom class (or bulkhead seat)that could be pre-specified. I do not really care about other extras extras for premium economy. It is critical to me that I can physically fit into the space between my seat and the one in front."

The screens on the British Airways long haul planes are tiny and difficult to operate. A 2,5 h flight where you can't even get water complimentary is appalling. Honestly all of your competitors offer a snack and beverages complimentary even if the flight is only 45 min. The boarding for London to Dallas flight was very confusing and could have been made easier with grouping the boarding instead of tons of people piling up to rush in at once."

Also I would imagine that during Covid-19 these companies would do a better job of not overbooking flights but all of my flights with American this past weekend were overbooked. Which delayed us even longer as they searched for volunteers to adjust their flights. In today's age of technology the idea that they are still overbooking planes makes no sense to me in the slightest. I will be walking, driving or taking a boat before I fly American Airlines again."

Miinukset: "I paid for a more comfortable seat around US200 (16L) the day prior the flight, main cabin window seat with more space.They changed planes I guess and row 16 was gone so the assigned me another one on main cabin aswell with more space (15J) but an aisle, which I hate and that was the reason why I paid for a window seat in the first place. No effort to get me a window seat within main cabin when I claimed, nor reasonable explanation on why they did the changed."
Plussat: "The crew were wonderful! Everyone was polite and accommodating. The entertainment available was on point. The food was both tasty and offered often."
Miinukset: "The seat were ok. There was not enough legroom, but honestly no airline has enough unless its business of first class. The Wi-Fi availability was misleading, though it did not advertise that it was free."

Miinukset: "The flight was delayed over 11 hours for maintenance. They provided car service back to our home but we waited an hour at JFK for the vendor Skyway to arrive. The car had a bad odor and the driver didn't know who he was picking up or where he was taking us. Should seriously consider contracting with a different vendor. The next morning, after we boarded, we waited an hour on the plane before taking off while they searched for a maintenance book. The entertainment system did not work at all nor did the Wi-Fi. Overall American Airlines did a very poor job communicating the delays ahead of time. I won't be flying an international flight with AA again."

NEOS Airlines is an Italian airline probably comparable to Southwest Airlines in the USA. It's a cattle car airline with no frills. Crew was very professional, food was actually good. A sandwich that was of course Italian ingredients. Seats were comfortable for the 3 hour flight."
Miinukset: "Checking in and paying a $49 excesses baggage fee for I was better off paying a full fare. Discount fare, what a joke!Than finding out that TAP put me on standby status?? But I eventually got a seat. It was no relief thinking I would be left behind and my plans elude be delayed.TAP airlines had only worked the front desk check in, gate check in and don't know about the ramp service. So I can't give a full positive review of TAP Airlines"

Miinukset: "They charged me $90 for my luggage. Several weeks or perhaps even months after I booked, I received an e-mail saying I had booked Super Cheap Economy or some such. It had a link to pay for 'additional services' but not luggage. At the time of booking, I checked and the price given was $35. So, I have protested the additional $55 with my CC company and will see what happens. BTW the luggage was not overweight. They turned off all the lights, including my personal reading lamp, so I could not read and had to just sit there doing nothing. That really blew big chunks. I only got two small glasses of wine."

Was told on check-in that flight did not include checked luggage which is bizzare/unreal for an international flight especially since I also paid to upgrade my ticket. The TV in my seat was broken and I therefore could not at all watch TV unless I moved to another seat. I ended up not being able to sit with my friends for the entire seven-hour flight. The flight was delayed multiple times. The first time it was delayed because they were doing an extra security search by hand in the Gated area awaiting to board the plane. I have never seen this in my life and it was definitely started. Then we were on board the plane for almost an hour before they made an announcement that they found a broken part on the plane and had to switch planes. It was all very fishy. Quite frankly that I want my money back."

Plussat: "The staff was very nice. Only bad incident was the misinformation on getting the D Tax. We went early to the airport to do it but could not get it because of erroneous information form the check in agent."
Miinukset: "When we checked our bags the check in agent did not let us take out bags after getting the boarding pass so we could get the D Tax refund at Customs. She said it was not necessary. She was wrong. French customs wanted to see the merchandise which we no longer had. When we complained at TAP we were told do it in Lisbon. Again in Lisbon we could not get the D tax because that custom agent wanted to see the merchandise which was being transferred to our Lisbon - Newark flight. We loss refunds of over $400. This problem ruined a perfect trip."
Miinukset: "I had a 17 hour overnight layover in Lisbon and I am a gold member of star alliance yet the TAP customer service desk in Lisbon told me they can not give me a hotel voucher for the night! Seems wrong."

Miinukset: "Lobster appetizer was dry, hard, and tough. Steak dinner was prepared nicely, but of medium- low quality meat. Announcements are not heard in headphones, which in emergency situations could be dangerous. Noise reducing headphones supplier are effective in the noise reduction function, but not high quality audio resolution, with some dialogue intelligible. Business class seat wasn't a full recline as are those of most competitors, but it was comfortable. I didn't see any snack offerings that most other airlines have available between meals."
Plussat: "The on-board crew was pleasant and professional unlike the check-in staff. Food was ok, landing was smooth."
Miinukset: "The airline makes money by having very low weight allowances on carry-on and checked luggages. The staff at the check in desk act like they are surprised and symphatetic about the overages meanwhile they enforce the weight limits to the gram. Most deplorable of all is the fact that they have one person on staff at a special desk where one can go to pay for the newly discovered overages. This desk and the person assigned to it full time is the proof that the company expects this kind of result before hand. Where on most continental flights the weight limit is usually set at 31 kilograms for checked-in baggages TAP Portugal has a limit of 23kg. Where most companies have no weight limit or around 20kg on carry-on baggage they have 8kg. The overages in weight result in a flat fee of $100 per luggage, even if the luggage is just one kilogram over the allowed limit. The low ticket purchase price is in my opinion a deplorable marketing scheme aimed at getting people to buy their tickets and then be faced with extra charges when it turns out weight alloweances are set at domestic standards."

Plussat: "The best thing was the attention and kindness of the crew on board: Excellent! Although I do have some complaints, I would say Tap is a quite good airline that should improve some aspects."
Miinukset: "The boarding in Lisbon was not efficient. It took a lot of time to get people on the plane and the land personnel in charge were not nice at all. I would even say very bad humoured! Plus the majority of passengers were kept standing for a very long time before entering the lounge at the gate because even though it was full of empty seats we were not allowed to enter the area. The food was not good and the entertainment system on board needs a refreshment to modernise it."
