Hotel Georgia

The breakfast was good and offered a good variety to choose from. The staff was friendly. The hotel is close to the beach and one particular restaurant really made our stay worth it. This is the "Nikoloudis" which has amazing local food for very affordable prices, great see view and very friendly staff.

I booked the first night as a separate booking (because the superior double room with see view was not available that day). This first night was cancelled the day before our holiday without warning and therefore we had to rebook something else in a panic. When we arrived at the hotel (the second night), the room we were given was not as described in the pictures, and it had a two single beds instead of a double bed which we specifically booked. We were offered to move to the room we actually booked but only the next day. The shower in the first room had mold and it was not appealing to use it at all. In the second room we got, there was still hair on the floor and the overall cleanliness was quite poor. The balcony door was broken and did not close (neighbors could theoretically come in via the balcony). We were promised that this would be fixed the next day but this was only fixed two days later. At least we were offered to use the safe for free (normally 2€/day) as a compensation. The walls are very thin and we could hear a lot of noise from other rooms. The cleaning was not done every day but I don't blame the cleaning lady as she is alone for 15 rooms or more and is clearly overworked. One day she had to prepare 10 rooms for new customers so did not clean ours. When it was serviced, the bed sheets were simply put on the bed, still folded and we had to make our bed ourselves. Moreover, all the towels we got were stained. I cannot understand how this hotel has such high grades even considering the good breakfast and nice garden and friendly staff. Quite a few other customers seemed to have complaints too.
