Selfness & Genuss Hotel Ritzlerhof

The location is stunning, super quiet in the middle of woods. Spa area and pool are well designed and connected to nature. There is freedom of movement and lot to see around the place. Nice hikes and natural beauties. They have been kind to provide yoga mat which I didn't take as I understood the hotel has permanent yoga/seminar room.

The value for money was not met for us. Compare to other places we visit regularly Gradonna in Kalls or Edelweiss in Stubai the food and room were not on such a standard as well the service. We have been given really small room and while we asked to change ( firstly we have been assigned to other room - visible on the table card etc. ) the answer was that those who don't book directly with them are getting such a room - the bed was squeezed to the central heating which is not acceptable for the price we paid etc. Seeing the other rooms while passing by our was so far the smallest and modest we have seen. Also, the communication in English was not welcomed and any time we spoke English the answer was in German ( we understand but for serious discussion or getting our needs met it was a problem ) it was really uncomfortable for us. The food quality is not comparable to two hotels mentioned above and especially the salt bar was disappointing 2 days we couldn't eat rocket salt as it was old and rotten. We travel both fancy and cheap depending on the situation and what we want to experience ..this trip was a celebration of our first wedding anniversary and even I have told to the reception they couldn't care less. The place is playing the Buddhist tranquility but being a long-term meditator and yogi its just a face ...my impression is - they don't like people who don't consume and don't put too much effort as they proclaim for environment - you cant get tap water at the restaurant - you have to go yourself outside and they look at you as complete stranger when you do so. It is consumption driven and when you don't consume extra you are not welcomed - and we don't consume as we drink little alcohol but we compensate it by tips at the end even here we left extra. I loved the place as such but dint felt welcomed at the hotel.
