Comfortable room and beds
We travel along this route twice a year and always stay at this hotel. I call the property directly to book the room. We need a king sized bed and that is what my confirmation #3151744560 says. This year we arrived, went to the room and found two queens. I returned to the front desk where a young lady was not at all helpful. She looked and said they were fully booked. I explained we were repeat customers and showed her my confirmation. She said she was sorry but there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to the manager. She said the manager was not there but would be in the morning. In the morning, about 8:30 I went to the desk and a young man said the manager would be in shortly. By nine he was not there. I told the desk clerk I had to leave but I would like the manager to call me. I checked that the correct phone number was in the file. It was. He never called. I'm extremely disappointed in the management of the hotel. I wonder if something has changed in the last year with the management. I can understand mistakes, but the person on duty at night did not try hard at all to fix my problem, and the fact the manager never called makes me consider finding another hotel for our twice annually trips south.
Very slow water flow. Very difficult to take showers, maybe it's because we stayed on the 5th floor. AC is very loud, wakes your up in the night all the time. I went to the pool at 7:45am. I got out of the building to the pool area, and there is a fence with the gate to enter the pool. The gate was locked. I figured it was too early. When I tried to re-enter the building the card-swipe key did not work. I was stuck in that very small area between building and the pool. The only option I had is to climb over the fence. Good thing I had my cell phone on me, and I googled the phone number for the reception and called them. Sure enough no one answered. I waited for some time and called again. John answered, I explained to him what happened, he came and opened the door from the inside. He did not even apologize. I asked him what would've happened if I did not have my cell phone, on what he answered that he would let the management know. Horrible customer service.
