nice panoramic views
The road leading up the the hotel is very dangerous. This needs to be mentioned in the advertising. Also the buffet breakfast consisted of coffee, dried biscuits and dired bread. Not worth 110 Euros in the off season. Also the staff or family could not speak a word of english. The accomodation was right next to the church bells which chimed loudly every half hour throughout the night and day. We did not sleep for two days because of this....in addition nothing was open in the town... besides a really bad restaurant.
The accommodation / facilities / views were amazing. the husband, wifte and daughter maintaining the property were terrific - really helpful and nice.
The views are superb and staff is really friendly.
The hotel is a wonderful position looking at the same time at the Ligurian sea and to Apennino mountains. The room was very confortable and elegant. The location is just on the ridge of the Cinque Terre National Park's Coast and offer both countryside walking activities and sunbathing possibilities in a wild beach. If you are not travelling by car be careful to the bus schedule, no trains arrive there.
lovely sight. wonderful ,calm and pitoresque village.
A bed & breakfast located in the heart of a quiet mountain village at the top of a ridge overlooking the Med and La Spezia on either side. Easily and cheaply reached by bus from the City.. Lots of packaged snacks in the bedroom fridge.Very clean sunlit rooms and bath. An ideal starting point for a full day's vigerous hike above and along the Cinque Terra trails.
It is not a hotel ! Overpriced. Has no reception- (keys later provided by a shopkeeper) Breakfast was self service next to an adjacent kitchen. Few rooms available. The manager never really delt with us. No real staff. We paid an above average fee for a spectacular setting.
Excellent location in the middle of the mountain and quite close to Cinque Terre. Perfect for hiking and nature lovers in general. The terrace sea view was tremendous.
Breakfast was not buffet as announced in the website. Only packaged food. Coffee was good though.
Friendly staff, one of whom did not speak English, the other a little bit. Nonetheless, we managed to communicate. Absolutely breathtaking view from our room w/small balcony overlooking the Ligurian Sea! The Locanda Tramonti is on the marked walking trail of the Cinque Terre. We were able to do a fairly easy walk from Campiglia to Riomaggiore, about 3 hours.
Nearby church bells tolled every hour through the night, interrupting our sleep. The one or two restaurants in the village seem to close around 6pm and the bus service stops fairly early, so it's important to figure out your meal plans with that in mind.
Hotel is up in the hills above La Spezia. Great views, quiet. Easy to access trails around the Cinque Terre National Park. Walk to Riomaggiore in 3.5 hours. You can take a bus from the train station in La Spezia, but it does not run frequently. Very little English is spokwn by the owner or the woman who checked us into the hotel. We got by with hand gestures, etc. We would stay there again.
