Disgusting, overpriced and barely a 2 star hotel
Decent for the money
Comfortable stay...housekeeping very slow ..bathroom ceiling leaked each time hot water heater turned on...breakfast selection and quality was reasonable....no service for omelette or fried eggs....but I guess you get what you pay for!
Check in time was 1400, we arrived at 1500, but the rooms were not ready, and when we got the rooms at 1600, they looked filthy and smelled very bad. When we cmplained to the management, they gave us tow other rooms, but again they were unclean and smelled very very bad, the carpet seemed never been cleaned for ages. For two days, no cleaning services, and we could see uncollected garbage arrond the doors of the guests rooms and along the corridors and halls. We are totally unsatisfied, totally unhappy.
Rooms are ok. Well furnished. spacious.
Veryt badly managed hotel. We waited nearly one hour to have the room. No housekeeping during 4 days. No parking was given. Food is not good.
The hotel is quite close to Al Haram, it's only about 7 minutes walk.
upon checking in we were promised a better room with one double bed but it never materialsed. The air in the room was stale when we checked in. Although there was a kettle in the room, there were no cups and when we asked for two we were told to pay $1.33 per cup. Left over food and rubbish bags left by guests outside their rooms were not removed regularly and were removed next day. Hotel corridors were not clean and house keeping were not available at night, their line was either busy or they did not answer when we got through. Internet wi fi was only available in lobby. Breakfast was simply terrible!
In order to be fair, I would say that from my own observation nothing is positive to be mentioned here about this hotel, but only the breakfast. Other things are far below the expected standards. This is not in fact, a 5 star hotel. The ranking is entirely misleading. Someone can easily witness that rubbish is almost in every corner of the hotel. As I have understood from the reception, recently only 7 people in the housekeeping serve this hotel compared to 40 in the past. One of the guests told me that the standard of this hotel in the past was excellent, but no idea why now it is far below expectations. In general, I do not recommend this hotel for the reasons stated above.
