The location is right in the middle of the old town of Zamora. We came directly from the Parador at Lerma to Zamora, so it was a bit of a let down. Parador de Zamora is just ok, nothing special. The common areas are ok, the bar is the biggest let down quite small. It would be better is summer if you could use the pool and the inside courtyard which was shut off when we there.
Bar area very small and with little or no ambiance.

The hotel is a beautifully renovated palace in a great location overlooking a medieval stone bridge over the river Duoro. Our room had an excellent view. Service was excellent on both arrival and departure. Be sure to ask what events are happening in the town as soon as you arrive. Everything is within easy walking distance.
No complaints.
