its location was very convienient as it is very close to the bus and train station , and it was clean
expensive . very tiny small rooms. and poor lighting
Location - in old Nijmegen shopping st.
Toilet was in a very small cubicle & wash basin was tiny in shower area
The breakfast and the kindness of the people who worked in the Beans and Bagels café. The person in charge of the internet connection was kind enough to do some troubleshooting in the router configuration so I could use mi wireless with my laptop. That was very helpful and I appreciate it a lot.
Only the pillows, which were too big and there weren't other to choose from. Also, the shower door dripped too much water when openned after a shower.
It's a nice place with friendly helpfull staff despite the rant below.
really steep stairs (closer to a ladder than staris) which did not suit my mother who is 70 and not physically able to climb them. we were booked in for 3 nights. i offered to pay the first night as it was booked and try to find somwhere else. the manager charged the full amount and told it it was my problem as the web site says they have steep stairs (it doesn't by the way) didn't have enough money to find anoter place so pretty much had to carry mum up and down those stairs. Hope your proud of yourself Mr.Manager.
Excellent location in downtown Nijmegen. The room we were given was in a adjacent building in a calm side street. The room was adequate and clean and even cozy. Heating was adjusted after we asked for it. A very nice and more than sufficient breakfast was served in the Bagels & Beans café that operates the b&b. All in all a very simple but not unsympathetic place.
This accommodation cannot be recommended for people who have trouble with stairs. The b&b is difficult to reach by cab as the street is pedestrians only. The room can only be reached through a steep and winding stairs. We had to carry our luggage upstairs ourselves. The bathroom and toilet (shared) are on another floor.
Very nice rooms, good location. Awsome breakfest included!
centre of Nijmegen, nice, old house
thin walls, you can hear a lot from your neightbours
The bathroom of the room had a plastic curtain instead of a door.
This is an observation, rather than a complaint. Room very small, as also the bathroom. Floors are wooden, so guests can be heard coming up the stairs and in their rooms. Extremely noisy. Stairs steep and narrow, so not recommended for less mobile guests.
Convenience, location, price, courtesy of staff
The rooms are in a separate building to the 'office'. This is at the restaurant a few doors along the street. In principle there is nothing wrong with this. However, as I had to leave early, I paid my bill the night before. I left the keys in my room and then found that I needed to use the outer door key to exit the building - something I had not been told. At this stage I was unable to exit the building and locked out of my room. I could not get to the keys. This may seem funny but at 6.55 in the morning with a train to catch it was not! I managed to get another guest to get up early and let me out. I was lucky. In case of a fire and panicking people or any other emergency, it would not be safe.
