We made a reservation for three but at the last moment our daughter joined us , and the hotel was sold out so it was imposible to book a second room . It wasn’t a problem with us to stay all of us in the same room , but we couldn’t, so our daughter had to go alone to an other hotel . Our room was enough big for ....

This is a very comfortable and luxurious hotel in a good location for exploring Salamanca. It is a really restful place to sleep, and the valet parking meant that we could forget our car for 4 days, which was a real treat. The staff are very efficient, and everything works well (perhaps a little extra charm on the front desk would be nice). We enjoyed the stay, and were sad to leave town.

Although the view from the breakfast room is great - you can look out over the city, the breakfast itself lets the hotel down. We opted for a breakfastless deal, then decided to try it on day 2. You can get a better breakfast a bar almost anywhere in Salamanca for half the price, so we breakfasted in a bar the other days. The coffee machines need to be thrown in a skip, as one was not working, and the other produced a warm beverage tasting slightly of chocolate, but not at all of coffee. The one plus about the breakfast was the very charming staff, who saw our horror at how disgusting the coffee was, and made us a better one somewhere out back. We were rather disappointed in all the breakfast products, they really didn't seem to be of a high quality, which you'd put up with in a 2- star, but is not acceptable in a hotel like this. Can I suggest the manager actually drinks a cup of their disgusting coffee? Mind you, he'd be a braver man than me- I couldn't finish mine.

Stylish and very comfortable hotel with slightly faded grandeur. However, exceptional accommodation, parking beneath hotel and easy access to central old town Salamanca.

The location is great - it is about a 10 minute walk to the Plaza Mayor. The staff were charming and valet-parked our large Volvo. The rooms were comfortable and large.

There are no coffee or tea-making facilities, but this is normal for most Spanish hotels. The pool is tiny - just a splash-about, not big enough for proper exercise. Breakfast was expensive and not included so we ate in a nearby cafe.

Great Location, fantastic friendly staff and valet parking. The food both in the evening and breakfast was very good.

I liked the room I like the fact that at it was big the beds were comfortable and I had a problem with my room and the lady listened to me and changed it and gave us a different room

They gave us chips without ketchup and the bread we ordered was so hard u couldn’t even bite it the swimming pool was so small

The pool was small and the water was only 16° so too cold to swim.

Location was very convenient in the frontier between touristic and non touristic part. All interesting places at waking distance.

Location off motorway for onward travel to Bilbao. Comfortable room and en suite. Pool if you wanted. Porter parked car. Nice meal in restaurant. Plate of fresh fruit and bottled water waiting for us our return to the room.

Wow. This hotel is amazing. You walk into reception and it looks opulent. The staff were very helpful. The room was amazing. It was styled for elegance and felt very luxurious. It was very quiet despite the fact that we were in a very busy area. It was also only 10 mins walk from the railway station. It was also right on the edge of the older part of Salamanca. We walked everywhere.

Swimming pool was smaller than it looked on the website, however, refreshing. The rest of services has been on the level which I expect on a business trips - wifi worked, the room was clean, breakfast good. I have also appreciated toothbrush and toothpaste in the room:-)

Just a humble remark - in the hotel of this level and with swimming pool, I would expect the dressing gown in the room.

Staff was friendly and accommodating , and helpful in giving directions or suggestions.

No waste banquet in room, only one small one in bathroom. Only one pillow per bed, not good for sitting up to read or watch tv.

Superb huge room with three piece suite! Beautifully decorated in a classical Spanish style. Very comfortable beds. Lovely big bathroom with plenty of towels, robes etc. Ten minutes walk to the beautiful Plaza Mayor with it's abundance of eateries. Good breakfast with plenty of choice of hot and cold food. Excellent reception staff. Car was unloaded for us then taken off to be parked under the hotel. Wonderful after a long hot drive!

Location and cleanliness

Having to change rooms through lack of checks prior to arrival. 2 lights not working and wardrobe door damaged. Cutlery not available for self service . Lack of shelf space in bathroom. Minibar broken . It turned into a heater and destroyed our yoghurts and fruit juice.

Great stop over on our way to and from Santander/Bilbao to southern Spain and U.K. Good room with jacuzzi (didn’t work!!) and roof top restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Charming porter who parks your car and brings up from underground garage.

Old school hotel with character. Excellent service from car park entry, pre dinner drinks & dinner. Room was old fashioned & comfortable & a good size !

I can't believe we got to stay in this beautiful hotel at the rate they are charging.

Only one minor thing no kettle in the room, but I am British and think the majority of there clients may not like tea as much as us Brits.

What's NOT to like!! A beautifully furnished and well appointed hotel very centrally located and exceptional value for money.

This was the most elegant hotel I ever stayed in. And it was beautifully decorated and perfectly located. The staff are friendly, professional and very helpful.

It was perfect. No flaws, whatsoever.

The Hotel has a great location, just 5min to Plaza Mayor. I parked my car in the street for free. Nice places for breakfast are close by. Yes, there are scratches on the floor and the whole ambience is kind of „old fashion“ but the quality is very high! Black marble in the bathroom, gold water taps, huge mirror, wooden parket floor, just perfect for my taste.

No water kettle on the room, if requested they charge 10€ for it.

As requested, we got a walk in shower. Check in and out was seamless, including our car. Love the marble, furnishings and paintings all over.

Poor scrambled eggs at breakfast. Lighting in Restaurant at dinner was like supermarket strip lighting.

The location is excellent with a great view of the park. The room is very clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast was very good.

Very comfortable room, excellent position in centre of Salamanca and the underground private parking a real bonus.

Only criticism was the lack of any shelf in the shower for soap etc.
