Pensión El Portillo

The location is excellent - within easy walking distance of absolutely everything and a very convenient bus ride from the bus and train station. The room was basic but super comfortable, with good heating and even a small balcony........Very cosy on a cold winters night. Friendly hosts, great value for money - I can definitely recommend this place.

The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that guests don't have their own front door key, so you need to ring the doorbell every time you wish to enter and the owners have to let you in. Although this didn't bother me too much this time around since I was sight seeing all day and back at the Pension early in the evening, it may pose a problem for people who want to stay out late and don't wish to wake up the hosts at 3 or 4 in the morning. A coffee station upstairs or in the lobby would be fabulous..........Just a suggestion.

Exceptional location, style, architecture from the local, close to the Mesquita and public transportation and awesome wifi connection.

Pretty much everything. Beautiful historic Privately owned building I believe. Owner is always available on the premises to help.

A Hair dryer would have been great.
