Tryp Dortmund Hotel

Excessively expensive for what was a very basic room. The picture quality on the TV was poor. The sink in the bathroom leaked water onto the floor. Also the cooling fan in the room was not connected so it didn't work.

I liked the staff and the service at the location. The rooms were a decent size, but the beds weren't very comfortable.

This was our 1 stop on the way to France. We also booked through booking on the way home. Both ways the booking was not communicated to the hotel as we put it in. Both times we had 1 child less booked than originally entered when booking, which meant we had to squeeze more people in a bed than expected, and on a road trip where sleep is important it wasn't very nice. It was worse on the way back as you couldn't separate the beds and the rooms were super tiny. ( different city, different hotel). The Hotels were more than accommodating about this, but made it clear that this is not uncommon with booking.com.
