Location is central, easy access to town, restaurants, port, beach.
Paint falling off walls in hall and in room, poor noise insulation. Tolerable for just an overnight stay but not in line with price of the room.
The position of the hotel was excellent with garage parking available just around the corner. The beach and a large array of shops and restaurants were all but a short stroll away, all of which made for an enjoyable stay in a lovely area of France.
Our room was on the small side and in future I would ask in advance for a larger one. The area set aside for a pretty bland breakfast was also a bit cramped but once you get to know the ropes just take the tray out on to the front terrace.
Guest reviews about this hotel are mostly very accurate. This is a 2 star hotel however so one shouldn't expect 5 star accommodation. We therefore find one or two comments on this site inappropriate. The very friendly staff (literally all of them) made our stay a pleasant one. Breakfast is very French but generous and good quality. Free WiFi in room. Quiet location, close to the sea front.
1. The room smelled slightly damp (insufficient ventilation in the bathroom) but that was a minor issue. 2. When returning to hotel in the evening, it was impossible to find light switch in corridor. Had to use light of mobile phone to find room.
It's location near to the seafront - otherwise there is very little to like about the place.
The deal with Booking.com included breakfast but I had to pay extra when I arrived and there was no such thing as a 'full English breakfast' as stated on the Booking.com confirmation. I was not given any opportunity for recourse on this with the hotel owner. The 'balcony' was street level and people walked straight past one's balcony and always looked in - there was no privacy at all and 'balcony' to most people would indicate an upper floor where there is a view and privacy. The view I had was of the pavement, the road and cars parked opposite on a narrow street. The was just a small patch of sky to be seen from the balcony provided one stretched one's neck to find it.
it was central, staff friendly and helpful
The area and the town.
Location very good, easy to find. As there was no hotel car park I would recommend booking a garage as we did otherwise one would have difficulty finding a park at the height of the season.
Our tarrif included breakfast which was okay and value for money but it got a bit boring after five days. There was no air conditioning and it was very hot at night and we had trouble with mosquitos. Our room had an outdoor terrace which was good but it needed a thorough sweeping. Our daughter's room did not have a terrace and she and her partner found the room very hot at night in July.
Loved the location and ease of coming and going to the hotel. Also, they provided us with a private parking space for a very low price.
Due to the festivities while we were there, it was a bit noisy at times, but I do not blame the hotel for that. However, there were ants in our room on the first floor.
Good central position. Public parking close by was totally adequate. Good breakfast. Lots of restaurants within easy walking. Quiet too.
Room small by adequate.
The location is really good!
