The best location only a few minutes walk from Nanjing St prime location. Had grand feel as you entered the foyer. Front staff very efficient and tentative. You feel safe and supported. Lovely atmosphere

Breakfast could have a few more selections ie more fresh fruit combination,otherwise a very impressive selection. Club room could have more selection of snacks ie nuts, cheese, other fruits, teas and juice

Perfect location walking distance to many of Shanghai's attractions, room was large and clean with great views, staff were friendly and spoke perfectly reasonable english for basic enquiries. I used the gym and pool daily, decent equipment and also pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Excellent value for money.

The hotel is showing its age

I'm frequent flyer to Europe and Asia because of my business nature . I consider this hotel one of top 5 hotel I ever been. from any prospective I will give this hotel 9+ from 10 Again Thank you GUXIANG

Good options for occidental breakfast. The staff was ultra friendly and helpful. Location is great and safe to walk around. Very clean room!

The machines at the gym doesn't work properly. The rower monitors doesn't work at all. The bikes are missing the pedal straps. Would be nice if you get a spinning bike.

The room setup was better than before, 2 beds (that I didn't need) with couch between them, good for small table work and eat.

The wifi was lazy, good portion of the time didn't not work.

Everything was good overall. Finding a taxi to stop right in front of the hotel can be a little challenging at times, but eventually you find one within 5/10 mins.

Lovely location with all conveniences nearby. Close to metro, restaurants, shopping etc.

Overall everything was great! However if I had to name one thing perhaps, the main light switch board, it is a bit complicated to use.

I recommend this hotel to travellers it's in a superb location with Muslim halaal food a few steps away, pool and sauna was excellent... great stay

The location was excellent because Famous Nanjing road is in front of the hotel and Halal restaurant is also available on back side of the hotel. Hotel rooms and staff are good.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to two metro stations, right in the city center and overlooking the shopping street. The staff is kind, helpful, they speak English very well at the reception. The room is comfortable and the views of the city are very nice. The breakfast is very rich and special (Japanese food too). The view from the 25th floor is very pleasant. We had a lot of fun.

Location is just perfect! just around corner to major shopping street. Two blocks away from subway -- and to subway stops to the major center! Breakfast, I did not try (it seemed a bit too expensive to add to the room charge). Staff very helpful, cleaning lady fantastic (very patient since due to jet leg I did not leave room everyday till 2 pm). Air-condition more than perfect, during my stay temp in town was around 35 C my room (19th floor) was so cool I needed to wear undershirt to warm up. I read some reviews that reported not good air-condition?! I am not sure if they were confused and if they stayed in the same hotel. It was a great relief to enter glamorous entrance hall and feel a cool fresh air! Also, hotel had arranged taxi for me to the airport, the driver was phenomenal! I never had professional driver such as him. Smooth, fast but not dangerous drive! Price 230 (one hour drive). Very pleasant experience! I remember all these stories in the US about Chinese not been good drivers! That is just a lie, this person could have driven formula one (driving skills were superior). Thoughts along the way: I haven't seen a car on the freeways and streets of Shanghai with the single scratch! I traveled the world, seen countries, traffic in major cities, but in 20 mil city such as this one not to see a single older or a single damaged car, is truly amazing, unbelievable! What are the chances for something like that! People drive with superior care, no illegally parked cars, all small bikes electric etc!!!!! Finally, all people in hotel spoke decent English and performed their duties with care, professionalism and amazing courtesy! Good luck! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I tried to eat dinner one evening (international buffet) they did not have a steamed rice.... (China and no rice! in a major hotel). I had to wait for them to order and bring it to my table. Also, no warmers trays under the food, so most is cold (for example I wanted to take mussels, there was a wide variety but they were in a pan all jumbled up and cold cold... no warmer underneath, hard to eat cold mussels! if these were oysters I can understand but they were not! Now one thing not related directly to the hotel but important for the traveler: DO NOT TAKE A TAXI AT THE AIRPORT FROM PEOPLE THAT SOLICIT OFFICIAL TAXI THAT TAKES CREDIT CARDS!!! It was one of my major rules not to do that but this time I decided to take it, I was too tired, too look around. I lost a previous flight and traveled quite a bit so I thought to myself even if they cheat me it is not going to be that bad I was too tired to look for truly official taxi.... Well surprise, surprise... Lady and the man solicited taxi ride and pulled me over from the crowd promising cool and official car that would take a credit card. They charged me 4 times normal taxi ride from the airport to the center - almost 700!!!! around one hundred US $! So, beware of fake taxi at the airport!!!

Location was fine, walkable distance to metro station Nanjing East Road. The room is great, we even had a small livingroom next to a bed and bathroom.

English of the people working in the restaurant of the hotel is very limited; people on the local market speak way more english (not necessarily better) than they did. Kind of strange to us if you work in a hotel with foreign customers. Even some basic english would be helpfull. Other than that staff is friendly.

We had a lovely stay for 5 days. Our room on the 26th floor was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and we had access to the club lounge that was a quiet space to enjoy the view and unwind with a complimentary beverage. A very convenient location. We will definitely be back here.

Location is awesome, close to everything. Room facility is great! Reception is trying to meet all our room requirement.

Although we have paid in front, upon check-in, reception still require a deposit of ￥500.00 per night which is never happened before!

The room was clean and comfy. The staff was nice. The location is great, pretty much in between metro station east nanjin road and People’s square.

At the time of our stay, Google Maps lead us to a different location (I felt that in general, Google Maps does a poor job in some parts of China), so you might wanna consider different maps before you head to the Hotel. The address on booking.com is correct ;) I guess that’s not really the hotels fault anyhow. The pool wasn’t too inviting, there’s no bar, but it’s clean and serves it’s purpose.

Overall stay was good. Halal restaurant is at back side which is convenient

Great location for doing business in East Nanjing Road area. Metro walkable. Lots of street action for those like pedestrian only zones.

Great location, nice walk from the Nanjing Road pedestrian precinct to The Bund. Hotel was nice, cool and food was nice as well. Internet was available in all areas as well which was an added bonus as needed it for last minute maps, travel

Not a slant on the Hotel more of an observation of China as a whole. Very few people spoke English, signs were not very informative and definitely get a local sim card for the next time I go

For Muslims halal restuarant is just back of hotel and Starbucks is in the hotel. Rooms are spacious.

The carpets store a lot of dust. The air conditioning in the room was not very effective.

The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Location is very good.

The bed was very hard so it was difficult to get comfortable. There is no one outside to assist foreigners with a taxi. You have to order it at concierge and deal with the taxi driver yourself. It would be nice to have someone there that speaks mandarin to assist.

There was some consistent humming noise during the day on top floors Club room sandwiches - dry, hard bread. Pointless!

The positioning of the hotel is great. Quick acces to the esplanada...

Maybe the reception service could be a little faster. In the morning there were at least 4 staff but only 2 managed the clients.
