The location of the hotel is really nice, the beach is exceptional, however the hotel is very old and the room smelled mouldy, the food was cold and taste like campingfood. We paid for an all inclusive and end up eating outside the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel made promises that they didn't keep either

The room, the hotel has no elevator and the food was just disgusting. Some of the staff was not very nice either. Before travelling I've asked if it was possible to decorate the room for my husband birthday, unfortunately this didn't happen. They promised us a fruitplatter and a banner for my husband birthday and we never recieved it.

Food. If you like to eat healthy meals, this hotel might not be perfect choice for you. Exception was the dinner, when they served fresh fish with veggies. But for the breakfast you only had deep fried stuff + little fruit.

Pleasant

A lot of the restaurants in the hotel where closed and the food quality was not so good. A lot of food and facilities were not available and they didn’t mention this on the website or while booking. Overal clean and beautifull hotel. Location is very good.

I stayed two weeks and didn't have a hot shower. They promised to fix it 4 times, never worked, even after multiple requests. Also, they did construction work in the first week (drilling) which was very load during the day.

Average hotel, ok food

The location seems to be ok, as it is close-ish to nice beaches (right next to Mambo beach) and to the Aquarium. They respect the Covid regulations, they clean all the time and the food is good enough. In fact, at the Oceana restaurant it was really nice. They have a lot of entertainment for kids and adults so that’s great.

The rooms are not as nice as stated, the “ocean view” is not so much of an ocean view. I tried to switch rooms (which I never do because I am not picky) but none were as nice as shown in the pictures. The food is average and there weren’t that many things to do, but to be fair, it’s low season and the Covid had a huge impact on the island (I assume)

The lobby area is too small and staff is behind a narrow reception desk, the whole reception looks cheap. The rooms are in need of renovation, fungus growth in bathrooms on the silicone joints. Some people working at reception see right through you when you have a problem. Not much help there, in first instance, after all, it is your problem not theirs. In the end you need to get hold of management to get a solution. But to be fair in the end we got a decent solution, just a pity reception desk could not, or would not handle it.

The beach was great, good for swimming in the sea.

Food is horrible. Low quality and every day the same. Worst all-inclusive I have ever been.

Hotel is worn down. Really needs to be refurbished. Rooms and especially bathrooms are 20 years old and falling apart.

Breakfast was nice, beach was perfect! I had dinner at the Italian restaurant which was fine. Staff was really friendly! The room was very clean and spacious!

There was a renovation going on. Noise and dust! Poor quality of lunch and very limited selection. People kept the beds at the beach occupied whit towels while they were not there. Would be nice if the staff paid some attention to that.

I enjoyed the island and the one staff who made our stay worth while, Ecko.

The food was not up to par, even at the speciality restaurant. The staff was mostly unfriendly and unhelpful. The amenities were not up to par as in other resorts I have stayed.

Hotel rating of 4 stars is a stretch. Wooden balcony is in dire need of renovation or replacement. Also had a fire alarm going off in the middle of the night and the staff did nothing, absolutely nothing, to direct/guide the guest to a safe place. The security guards continue eating and drinking until I got there yelling for instructions. Talked to a manager in the morning and she had a negative attitude. I asked her what she was going to do and she recited the actions that they should have done and that she will make sure that all staff was briefed. I return in the evening and asked the staff and other managers what would they do if the fire alarm went off.... I encountered stares without answers. The situation could have very easily be for real, and people may have dies because of the inaction of hotel employees that are entrusted with our safety. Never again....

Beach area is nice. Location to Mambo beach is nice. Only good restaurant was the Japanese restaurant.

Food quality and cleanliness was poor. General buffet lacked choice, particularly for those of us who dont eat beef or pork, and could be way cleaner.....flies, flies and more flies. My wife found hair 3 times in her food (not hers) on three days from different areas in the resort. Our party of four all got sick from the food on the resort. Italian restaurant should be closed down...smells bad, and was the worst italian food we had. No premium bar available, and for bars that were open, there was only one bartender at a time, so service was very, very slow. Hotel is old and in need of general maintenance and upgrade. Construction ongoing near the main pool area (Sept 2019), so lots if jackhammering, drilling and pounding on what was supppsed to be a relaxing vacation. While I appreciate the need for better facilities, this should have been declared upfront in the booking process like other hotels do, so guests would know what they are signing up for....and even in the check-in, there was no acknowledgement or apology for it from the staff....it's like for them, it wasn't even there and guests should just ignore it. Sorry..I didnt come on vacation to hear jackhammering all day. We paid for an upgraded sea-view room, but basic amenities were missing from the room...no hairdryer, minibar only had soft drinks. Felt like a basic room experience. Wifi very unstable.....kept going and coming...made it difficult for those of us who had to work online. Hotel lobby and cafe area in need of some fans...extremely hot. Nightclub was an absolute dissapointment. Casino carpet needs cleaning. We requested to pay for a late checkout as we had a late flight, were denied, and then asked to complete a customer satisfaction survey.....seriously?? We asked to speak to the supervisor when we were checking out to provide some feedback...it looks like he read the survey responses we provided on the tablet and never came to see us.

Great location, private beach, & 5 minute walk from Mambo beach. -some service is good, some nice workers. -ice cream by the Italian restaurant during the day is the only thing I liked to eat from the entire resort.

-Ocean front room is literally on the ocean front. Price is way too high for that room considering the view is obstructed by beach chairs, the main pool, & a restaurant. -Room service never brought the correct food, something was always missing & it took forever -We switched rooms 3 times because of issues with our rooms. We had a leak in the ceiling & bugs in our room. -The food was absolutely awful. I literally had to force myself to eat it, just to get nutrients. I’m sorry but burgers, hot dogs, & chicken nuggets every day for lunch is not good food! We tried every restaurant & I wanted to throw up. The sides to dishes were mass produced and cold by the time you got it. The main dishes tasted under seasoned and nothing tasted good. The dessert was dry & they never had what was listed on their menu for desserts. We got cheese cake & the crust was hard. They used the same dry & old dessert that they had in the bakery. Who knows how long that food sits out & is served until it is inedible. -breakfast is buffets only. Most of the resort is food buffets. But breakfast sits out from 0700-11pm. I’m talking warm milk, warm fruit. The fruit even tastes old. I felt sick just trying to eat & get food into my body for the day. It felt awful. -Our mini bar/coffee was never restocked until 6-7 pm when we were trying to get ready for dinner. -People with orange towels that weren’t sun club members were using the sun club side of the beach & there was no accountability of checking who paid to use the sun club side of the beach & pool. -You can’t get room service unless you pay for a Sun Club membership but the room service is HAMBURGERS AND BAD FOOD!! You can’t get food from any of the restaurants as room service or to go. -Front desk called us late at night in the middle of our trip to pay for our room because booking.com didn’t charge us.

The beach is really nice.

The towels smelled like vinegar, the spirits are not good quality, the food wasn’t so good.

Bartenders were great and friendly. Staff were friendly and always said hello when we passed them. The beds are comfy, beach is beautiful, lots of tropical fish around.

The food was not great and the breakfast buffet was the only option for food in the morning. And it was the same food every day at the breakfast place. The buffet food in general was not good, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service at the bars were great but in the restaurants was horrible. Would take us 2 hours for just an appetizer and meal. The servers would just sit around and talk to each other. The restaurants never change their menus and I think they should have a "chef special" every night that changed just for something different for those of us who had a long stay, and ended up eating the same food every day. The liquor was watered down and not name brands. We drank and drank and drank and never felt a thing. I'm thinking they add water to the liquor bottles which is horrible. Our room was nice and the bed was comfy, the AC didn't work so great so our room was pretty warm the whole time. The beach was beautiful but it's very rocky near the shore so I recommend wearing water shoes. Oh and the swim up bar pool is pretty gross. We hung out there a couple times and our bathing suits would ring out yellow when we washed them. They need to do a better job at cleaning and filtering that pool water. As for snorkeling, they only allow you to rent gear for 1 hour per day because it's a separate company from the resort which is unfortunate, I should have brought my own gear.

The bed was very comfortable and the location and beach was beautiful. Fun snorkeling right off the beach. We were in the sun club side which wasn’t crowded like the other side.

The rooms/resort is in need of renovation. We missed our first day because the weather caused us to miss out connecting flight; however the manager would not help us to change our days unless we sat through their sales pitch. We were suppose to have a room next to our under 18 children but that didn’t happen as requested when we booked, and again nothing would be done unless we sat through the sales pitch. The food was less than mediocre, there was always a line to get into all meals, and it was hit or miss if a waiter would bring your drinks or not. Some of the staff was very nice, others not so much. There was no hairdryer in my room and we didn’t have a hand towel or wash cloth for two of our days. Most days we could get coffee at the Sunclub side and we often had to wait for beach towels

The best employee in the whole place was the pregnant lady working her tail off at the Del Mario Restaurant. Give her a raise and a bonus! If you get a decent room, your access to the beach is really nice. Close proximity to Mambo Beach. Check in was good, room ready. We were offered cold drinks while waiting in short line. Came at a good time, weather very comfortable.

The only way to get management to change is to be honest. This place average, nothing more. A Super 8 of all inclusive hotels. From cold food, extremely rude staff (not all, but heaven forbid you want a towel for the beach or want to sit at a certain table in the buffet), short stocked on available drinks (the one bar "out of" drink mixes, straws, etc.), limited access to pools (kids in the pool bar, separate "vip" pool), non renovated rooms with no or broken decor (room looked like a box, broken lamp shades, low lighting, 1970's bathroom). Limited water sports available. Limited resources for snacks, and the staff does not respond to pertinent inquiries. I'd say this place needs a management and site overhaul.

Beach was very nice

Food wasn’t good and most the service was not good at all. We had to wait often for tables to eat and staff wasn’t very helpful.

Breakfast had a good variety but the quality of the food could be improve, the beach however was wonderful.

The lady at the Sun Club desk was not friendly. She was busy talking with her coworkers instead of attending to her guests. The lady at the activity desk was super friendly and helpful. My room was not ready until 4pm. No communication from the Sun Club desk about the status of my room. The bellboy even offered to check on the status of my room. The quality of the food is mediocre. The food at the Japanese restaurant was horrible. We left halfway our dinner to go to the Italian restaurant.

Quality of food was only adequate; breakfast buffet even less. Staff was friendly and courteous but ill-informed as to the resort facilities and surrounding area. Check in was an exercise in confusion. Children were allowed in the adults only section of the pool by the swim up bar.

Has potential to be better, with enough tweaks and some TLC

The beach was gorgeous, a few rocks by the shore but once you're in the water, its amazing. The beds in the rooms were also comfortable.

The staff was generally overwhelmed and it is very apparent that they are short staffed and could benefit from hiring more people and training everyone on how to provide excellent customer service. The dining areas were hit or miss, in terms of the food choices and the service. The drinks were all sugary, no top shelf options at all. Don't waste your money at the spa, its overpriced and all they do is rub St. Ive's lotion. I kid you not, both my mom and aunt got different services done and they both said the same thing. My mom even paid extra to add the "hot stone" option to her massage...it was a complete waste and she felt even worse when she left than she did when she first went in. They place you in a dark room, on a squeaky bed...no dimmed lights, no scented oils or candles..nada. Save your money and skip the spa!

Just Ok

The restaurant and food was good. Cleanliness of the hotel was good. An ok all inclusive restaurant.

When I arrived at the hotel, I requested to check out late since my return flight was 9:00 pm and the check out time at the hotel was 12:00 pm. I was advised that I would have to request again on the day of check out. I did request again as advised but I was told that the room was already booked. The hotel was accommodating and allowed us to stay in the lounge, however, I think they should have accommodated us with the room since they had ample time of being informed of my request.

Good resort if you are looking for a 3 stars.

The water is very nice. There's a good place for snorkeling just a few meters away from the beach. The Italian and Japanese restaurant are fine. The entertainment team is good.

The resort is very old and without much maintenance. The quality of the food (specially the buffet) is mediocre. Except for some very nice people, the service is bad. They are making something in the beach, and they start using noisy machines from 8 AM. The beach seems to be artificial. It's small and with a lot of big stones and rocks. No internet in the rooms. You have to go to the lobby (full of people and mosquitoes) and pay to use the wi-fi!

The beach is nice

The pool was very dirty. Food quality is not good at all, there is not even fresh orange juice, instead they give you TANG. The staff was not service oriented at all.
