Karafuu Beach Resort & Spa

I stayed at Karafuu Beach Resort and Spa for three nights and now I am kicking myself for not booking a longer stay. The grounds are lovely and the location breathtaking. I enjoyed daily walks on the beach. The beach was relaxing with no crowds, a few local shops and eateries and a smattering of local boats. I liked the fact I could see some local life. I did not book excursions, but one could easily do so with locals on the beach (at a better rate than the hotel offers). The room was spacious. The breakfast buffet was extensive, with many vegetarian options. Although a bit more "touristy" than I typically like, I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely recommend the hotel.

The internet was very slow and I was only able to access WiFI in the lobby area. The seafood night had very few vegetarian options. I was really looking forward to the Masai dinner night (typically Mondays and Fridays). However, the hotel changed the Friday dinner to Thursday night and I was completely unaware of this change. I was really disappointed to have missed the Masai dinner as I made dinner reservations offsite for Thursday and did not learn of the switch until Friday evening.
