Old and frayed

It is something your parents would’ve thought really nice 50 years ago. Make it 75 years ago. Although the Art deco Decour appears original it has been well-maintained.

It is a prime candidate for a major redo and have shiny 4 stars. There is a certain “aroma“ that shows it’s age.

For night owls

Location

Loud music until 3-4am from two neighboring night clubs! We were on the 5th floor with close windows and still couldn't sleep. Older receptions staff required paperwork. No other hotels asked me for one.

We liked the location and the public areas of the hotel.

The hotel must have been a gem in its hayday. Today, however, it is in need of a drastic overhaul. The rooms and hallways are dingy and warn. With a little bit of work it could be a wonderful place to stay. They do not have parking so we had to use a public lot across the street and had to refill the parking meter every few hours.

It was a convenient location from which to explore Coimbra.

Well located. Old fashion of the room with its pro and cons.

It was very shabby, old and smelly. We had no hot water in our shower.
