Plussat: This is a lovely hotel with a very friendly, kind and helpful staff that continually went above and beyond for us, answering questions, giving directions, simply making our days there very pleasant. The location could not be better, right in the heart of the historic center of Guanajuato and close to lots of great restaurants, bars, places of interest. The hotel building and rooms are charming, with a lovely terrace on the fourth level to relax from a busy day of sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again...I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Guanajuato.

Plussat: The building, our room, location were all great. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Staff was helpful (at check-in we were allowed to chose from two rooms). Common areas (salas) were very pleasant. Endless architectural "finds" around every corner!

Miinukset: No parking or valet parking. Had to park the car 8 minutes away in walking distance.

The hotel building and rooms are charming, with a lovely terrace on the fourth level to relax from a busy day of sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again...I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Guanajuato.

Plussat: The staff did its best to help with room issues, and we appreciated that. The terrace was really pretty.
Miinukset: The breakfast was really bad. Our toilet was broken and we had to take off the lid and pull up the chain in order to flush. Wifi was spotty at best. The room could have benefited from a ceiling fan as there was no air conditioning (which I don't really care about) and the standing fan was inadequate against the heat. The terrace was lovely but hot, and smelled of detergent. There was no drink service, no ice, or refrigeration, so while we were invited to take our own beverages upstairs, that was not a realistic option.

Miinukset: Extra street noise, which did calm down for sleeping, but I expected as much booking in El Centro! Location was perfect for exploring the city.

Plussat: The location was fantastic. The room was good considering the low cost. The internet was great, better than in 5-star hotels. Some dogs were barking all night, but I guess all hotels in the area were affected by this noise. The window could not be closed though because of the absence of a/c. But really we can't complain about anything considering how little we paid for this hotel.

Miinukset: Shower took ages to heat up. Difficult to find, we nearly got our car stuck in some small streets trying to get there.

Miinukset: Room smelled like mothballs. A little noisy as we were on the first floor. Room 101 isn't great as there is a window at the door that lets in the light from the hallway. There were a few baby roaches in the bathroom. The towels were old.
