Miinukset: "It was a struggle to get our hotel from the turkish hotel desk crew. We were travelling from Cape Town to Toronto with a little baby and had a layover of approx 10 hours at Istanbul. They claimed that our layover was 9 hr 40 mins (and not 10 hours) and I had to argue before we finally got a transit hotel. Their customer service is poor."

Boarding the airplanes was chaos, both in Tel Aviv and Istanbul."

Miinukset: "The boarding process at Istanbul was a bit chaotic but the flight left on time. I guess the airport personnel knew what they were doing. Istanbul airport is big and modern. There a lot of nice shops, including Duty Free. One annoying thing was the large number of airport employees using these motorized transports, I.e. wheelchairs, bipeds, tricycles, etc, going at high speed. If you don't get out of their way they will run you over!"

Miinukset: "I travel this route (ATL - MGM) often and it seems like half the time I use Delta there is an issue with the plane including times when the flight has been cancelled. This time the plane left the gate and some fifteen minutes after sitting on the tarmac was taken back to the gate. The issue was said to be an element that keeps a sensor from freezing in extreme cold weather. The less than one hour flight took two hours to complete. This should have been dealt with as a maintenance issue but Delta doesn't seem to think so. The planes on this route make Delta a LOT of money as it is one of the most profitable routes in the US. You would think Delta could invest in keeping better maintained planes on the route."

Miinukset: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."
Plussat: "I liked the new plane! It seemed like there was just a bit more room. Compared to my flight going out with American, Delta is a much nicer experience."
Plussat: "Fairly comfortable and uneventful. The flight was delayed for an hour and a half, so we arrived in L.A. later than expected. The crew was excellent and friendly, Boarding was a bit crazy but in the end we all found our seat. My flight attendant was terrific. She did all she could to fix the problem to no avail, Kudos to her."

I did get a $50.00 rebate due to the faulty video player, but seriously, what can you do with $50..00 on Delta?"

Miinukset: "While my experience with Virgin Australia was good, I will not book with them due to the co-share with Delta Airlines. I missed my connecting flight from LAX to JFK due to additional security screening. As such I was advised to head to the Delta terminal to be booked onto the next available flight to NYC. After waiting over an hour in line to be seen by a staff member, I was told that they couldn't change my ticket as it was a Virgin flight. The same staff member didn't seem to even understand the concept of 'co-share', and also told me that because I booked through Kayak and not Delta that they could not help me. This makes me think that booking through a third party is a risky move. I was told there was absolutely nothing she could do, and that I would have go to a Virgin Australia Counter. This involved taking all of my luggage from Terminal 5 - all the way to Terminal 3. I was assisted by Virgin Australia, where they apologized for my experience, and confirmed that it was Delta's responsibility (and that they were capable) of rebooking my flight. Virgin booked me onto a later flight, but I still had to walk back to Terminal 5 (Delta) to give them my checked luggage. I was once again told that I didn't have the right ticket (details listed Virgin and Delta flight number - so this was way too confusing for them). Finally they printed my a boarding card and took my bags. I then ran through security and to gate in time for my flight. Flight was fully booked, due to a many people no doubt experiencing the same thing. Food was awful. Was a big step down from the Virgin flight in every aspect. There was not a single Delta Staff member who would even try to understand or be helpful. I will never fly with Delta again."

Miinukset: "Plane was diverted back to Toronto from LaGuardia airport as we were told due to "weather", landed late at night and were told that due to not being able to control weather WestJet could not assist with accommodations, leaving everyone stranded and scrambling to find a room in alreday booked up hotels. When speaking on phone with agent, I was told it wasn't due to weather but incident at LaGuardia where plane went off runway. I paid $130.00 for 5 hours in a hotel, due to pilot error, not weather. La Guardia opened it's other runway immediately after and other airports in NewYork were running fine. Completely unacceptable and extremely bad customer service as CSR simply told us "sorry we can't help". Will never book with West Jet again."

Miinukset: "One of the boarding crew member in Bucharest, a younger bearded male wearing glasses, was extremely rude to my husband. Boarding started a bit late, and I had to run to the ladies room. The ladies room was crowded and housekeeping was frustrated about the mess left behind by some ladies. Meanwhile my husband was approached by the above described crew member. When my husband told the crew member that I was at the bathroom, the crew member start yelling at my husband stating : I don't care, call her, u are late". When I finally arrived, there were 2 more couples behind us. People were also at the plane's door awaiting to board and find their seats. We were not late. The crew member was totally unprofessional by the way he approached my husband, the tone of his voice and his comments. My husband doesn't speak Romanian and he told me about the incident while walking my towards the plane. I couldn't go back and get the crew member's name."

Miinukset: "Seat comfort. Entertainment. Toilets far from the premium zone. Meal choice. Wine choice, headset. All sub par compared to other airlines in the premium economy space. In particular, Qantas is much much closer to business class than to economy class in it's premium economy product. Lufthansa is just not delivering value to this segment."

Miinukset: "Just odd that I walked a mile thru the airport to make the connection only to board a shuttle bus that went back the same direction for the longest such ride in my life, past parked planes, maintenance areas, fuel storage tanks and finally the cargo plane section where our plane was located. Might be hard on those more impaired than I am to handle the stairs down to the bus loading dock and again up into the plane."

Miinukset: "Besides the seat relative comfort, it did not recline much at all, i wondered what the extra money (at least $5 or $600) got us. The food, wine/ beer service was same as regular economy, the boarding took place at same time as economy, no drink before take-off if only sparkling water. And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

I am a fussy eater and don't really like airplane food but the food was actually really nice. We was given plenty of snacks and drinks in between meals as well. The plane was very hot, with very little air flowing through the salon. Food was bland for dinner and inedible for breakfast. The crew was barely there, and borderline rude when asked something."

Miinukset: "People may think,that the delay of the flight has set my mood for this review but I can ensure it has most definitely not. With all the bad weather, I was already very happy to connect right on time in Paris. However, a long haul A380 flight with such a tight seat configurstion is almost embarrassing for an airline. The in flight entertainment is at a very poor level, not only with the screen being very small and outdated, many of the movies are only available in French and the international selection very limited. The food was not much of a delight, whereas the presentation was nice. However, in all the 7 h between the services, nobody came around with refreshments in a completely booked flight, neither was announced that a trolly would be set for self service in the galley. Lucky the ones who got up and found out about. In terms of amenities, again, the airline is lacking of originality and saves cost. Bottom line: you get from A to B, but there are so many better competitors in the market, which I shall definitely consider on my next travel."

Miinukset: "Although we traveled in Business, all business cabins were full of children, tired crying, walking around. My suggestion to AIR France would be that the small cabin of business were assigned to adults only. Regarding food, some options were not available when our turn came."

The staff especially in Chicago where we began this awful experience couldn't care less about our situation. Then AIr France lost our luggage and provided no help in locating them. We had to rely on folks who had friends working in Zagreb Airport to locate them. Air France is incompetent, insensitive and unprofessional. If you have an important trip avoid Air France - they treat you like captives not customers."

Complimentary wine with meal was also quite good. Entertainment system was first rate with plenty of options for TV. movies, music, games, etc..."
Miinukset: "Sitting in the middle two seats in the center of the 777 left me stuck for most of the flight. Got up only once. Wife's feet and ankles were swollen by the end of the flight. Not enough legroom to move much during the flight and not enough aisle space to get around with the plane so full. Have made flights twice as long on the 747 and were able to get up and walk."

Would have been better to spend that time in the terminal and given credits to buy food, etc. My seat was a regular seat (non exit) and the seat did not recline properly, the USB drive was broken, overall the plane felt unmaintained. The crew was friendly and food was good but I felt not enough was done to accommodate the extra hours we had to wait on the plane."
