Ala Moana Hotel

Great view, very nice room. The staff was nice and helpful, especially the valet staff.

Unfortunately, the elevator situation during construction was frustrating. In order to get down to the first floor we had to repeatedly send elevators (that did not go to the first floor);to other floors to reactivate the elevator call button.

I didn’t like the construction

They didn’t clean our room on Sunday night. We got back to the hotel at about 12 midnight and no towels. Our beds wasn’t made up and rubbish overflowing

The hotel was undergoing refurbishment and the pool was closed but we stayed here on the recommendation of a friend as it was our last stop to shop before heading home. The Ala Moana mall was the reason for our choice and for that we have no complaints. However the hotel should consider building a sheltered walkway between themselves and the mall. I know the weather in Honolulu is fantastic but it does rain quite often. Bring a small umbrella!!
