Delicious breakfast, clean room Convenient to Hadassah Hospital
Poor lighting and no power source in bathroom. Tissues and bar soap poor quality for such a nice hotel.
the overall infrastructure is nice. very nice view
they sent me to the first floor, which felt like bring in the basement. the toilet had an awfull smell , and the small yard outside my room was very badly taken care off.
The room was spacious. Besides the King Size Bed and several pillows, there was a relaxing couch, a long table and chair, plus a stool, beneath the dressing table. A big screen LED TV, with several channels, but not Euronews!! There were five light fixtures, which is a good thing, because usually hotel rooms are dark. A full width window, overlooking the central garden, with an excellent blind curtain, which closes 100% the sunlight, which is not common in many hotels, where sunlight penetrates into the room and wakes you up, very early, if your sleep is sensitive to light. The bathroom was fully furnished, with excellent amenities and excellent lighting. The indoor swimming pool was adequate, although old, with nicely warm water. There is a nice Turkish Hammam, besides the swimming pool and a Jacuzzi (Hot Tub). The Sauna was good, as well as the Steam room, but both are old and need refurbishment, as well as the lockers. The water pressure in the bathroom of the bedroom and in the showers of the SPA is excellent. The breakfast was rich, with lots of hot and cold dishes. The employees were all very kind, without exception.
There are no power sockets, in the room. I was obliged to unplug the minibar, so as to be able to use its power socket, so as to charge my smartphone and smartwatch. Power sockets are very essential in hotel rooms, because, nowadays, everybody has one or two smartphones, smartwatch, laptop, etc.... The indoor swimming pool and the SPA should be renovated, completely, because they are very old.
Huge hotel with a feeling of a worn out building from the 70s - not unlike the grand, dark, characterless buildings of Eastern European capitals build during soviet times.
Service - non existent. Still cannot figure out what was the porter outside of the hotel for - would not help with luggage, would not assist with taxi or with anything else. We asked the concierge for recommendations for a new year’s eve dinner - we were told to find something on facebook or trip advisor. We needed some help with the airline as the our flights got changed and we couldn’t reach anyone there who speaks English. The front desk reluctantly helped us but only after asking why we would not sort this out ourselves. And they made it pretty clear they were not very happy they had to do this. Service in the bar was a lot less friendly, timely or polite than any street cafe in the market - and all of this at very inflated prices. And breakfast was an average buffet at the price of a Four Seasons Hotel best resorts. In short - stay away if you have the choice! Almost forgot to mention - the room door had a peephole with the glass taken out, so you could easily look into the room from the corridors. Not sure if this was a security feature, but certainly crosses a line of any reasonable privacy expectations.
Comfortable rooms and amazing breakfast
