Plussat: Really excellent! A little gem in the middle of downtown Mobile. Beautiful classic decor exactly the way we like.

Plussat: The whole place was great very friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Price was fair and loved the room. Next time we travel for the cruise we now know you can stay and Park for free, very convenient to access the cruise ship.

Miinukset: Not one thing disappointed us with our stay.

Plussat: Staff was excellent, accommodations were excellent. I will definitely return on my next visit.

Plussat: Awesome historic B&B! I love history and this inn along with the immediate surrounding buildings take you back in time. It's like a little slice of history that the city forgot. Breakfast was great and the chef was very nice and knowledgeable. He also can accommodate almost any special dietary need.

Plussat: Loved the charm of the BNB and the location. It was close to lots of shops and restaurants. The host gave us a lot of information which I’m sure would have been useful had we not only been passing through and staying for one night. The pool was gorgeous and relaxing.

Miinukset: The host was a bit off putting. On arrival he was nice enough and offered a hour long conversations with lots of tongue in cheek humor and filled us in on all of the aspects of the BNB and the local area which was very hospitable and would have been invited after checking in since we had just arrived from a long 12 hour drive and were ready to get in our room and relax. He was kind enough to prepare the room for us 2-3 hours early which was wonderful so we weren’t about to complain about the long intro because he didn’t have to go out of his way to do that. But then comes the part of this review that I really don’t love sharing because it’s such a shame how the host handled us when we used the washer and dryer at the BNB. Late in the evening while relaxing at the pool, the host walked toward us after arriving back to the BNB from a jaunt and approached us rather rudely saying, “Who gave you permission to use the washer and dryer?”, in a very accusatory, very demeaning manor. I had to ask him what he said because I couldn’t believe he had approached us in such a rude way. He then said “Who gave you permission to use the Laundry?”. I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable and just said, “I apologize, we thought it might be included.” He followed with, “No it wasn’t included in the listing.” Then he snipped at us and started to walk away and said, “That’s okay! I’ll just charge you for it.” And stormed off. The way he handled that was so child like and so unprofessional. For the rest of our stay we felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable. He could have came to us in a completely different way. I believe this man needs to consider the way he speaks with his customers. We decided to sleep in and miss breakfast the next morning because we did not want to tolerate any further unprofessional conversation, of which we’ve read about in previous reviews. Everything else about the BNB and our experience was fine, but he could have totally approached that situation differently.

Plussat: The house was built in 1850 , still is in good shape. Some parts, like floors in the rooms are still original. If you want to experience the Southern living style, this is your choice.

Plussat: Loved Berney Fly! Stephen the inn keeper was fabulous. He gave us a tour of the home as well as ideas of what to do ok our unexpected delay in Monile. The rooms and bathroom and other amenities were very clean and comfortable. The best part was how fabulous the breakfast was!

Plussat: The house itself is wonderful, the rooms, the furniture, the details, the mood, the view, and the location are impeccable and simply in tone/style with the rest of the neighborhood. The courtyard is a lush tidal jungle full of greenery and flowers, with a beautiful pool where you can have a cool bath in the middle of the historic district. To my surprise, I discovered the owner who was preparing breakfast for us on the scratch, cooking with delicious omelet and grits on the first morning and phenomenal roast potatoes and roasted eggs on the second. I felt guilty later because he asked me when I normally wake up because and I replied at 7. Later i discovered he cooked grits in an original way. (take 1 hour to be ready). He gave me a lot of suggestions for the visit and he is a great partner in every discussion topic, he 's cultured, kind and definitely a great host!

Plussat: Quaint and quirky property. 1850s property in lovely neighbourhood albeit on main road. An excellent breakfast and great recommendations from Steven. There is also a nice pool in the back yard.

Miinukset: The room is old. No problem but the bathroom is outdated and the shower rickety

Plussat: Lovely, well-appointed Victorian living with spacious pools, garden, and shaded decks. Breakfast was so good! Stephen, one proprietor, was a joy to converse with....

Plussat: Lovely home. Quiet street. Nice pool and garden in the backyard. Steven provided helpful information on what to see and do and where to eat.

Plussat: Quaint and beautiful! Steven was attentive, knowledgeable, and accommodating! The pool was awesome. The room and ensuite were large and inviting. We felt at home. We will rebook next time we are in Mobile.

Miinukset: The beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast was a joke!! Cost $45 dollars for just the wife and I, for a buffet I could have gotten at the local motel 6 for free!! The pool was small and I wouldn't dare step in the hot tub!!

Miinukset: I️ didn’t like anything, everything was horible

Plussat: The room was stinking. I could not find a location on the halls for a pull trip fire alarm pull station. Had there been a fire in the hall, there was no alarm pull to notify Fire Department. Also I noticed fire sprinkler system valves in closed position, had there been a fire, these sprinklers would not work. This is being reported to Mobile Fire Department. I am sure stockholders should be quite unhappy with this unsafe hotel. It is many stories, and a fatal outcome will be the result if not inspected. I will not stay again at this property until these safety items are working & in compliance!

Miinukset: Room could have had carpet shampooed.

Plussat: We received great customer service.

Miinukset: There was an accident made in the bed. When housekeeping came in he/she didn’t acknowledge the accident, that was noticeable, and change the sheets instead he/she just completely ignored it and made the bed back up using the same lines.

Miinukset: The air conditioner and the fridge weren’t working in the suite properly

Plussat: The food I purchased while there was all very good and the staff was very helpful

Miinukset: The cleaning staff was nice enough to offer extra towels when I saw them in the hall because I had out our do not disturb sign. However it did not prevent them from slamming the door of the room next to us 10 times while they were cleaning it.

Plussat: Everything from the southern hospitality to the history and the architecture. I enjoyed the warm colors interior design in the room. Food was great and I loved the bathroom!

Plussat: Nice hotel.. quit clean... great workout facility, the best I’ve ever seen in any hotel.. the amount of workout equipment.

Miinukset: A little to old fashion in the rooms... in need of some modern updates... and much need of more computer tablet.. and phone charging stations thru out the rooms... Stayed in more updated hotels for this price and less. Co-workers stayed at Hilton garden Inn not elaborate lobby and restaurants but much more modern equipped rooms.

Miinukset: The forced valet parking was unforeseen. I don't want to pay $21 for the privilege of staying at this hotel, I'd rather park it myself. Loud neighbors, shouting and partying til 2am. I understand the hotel staff can't anticipate this, but they had nothing to say about it when I brought my concern to their attention. Wifi connection was poor - couldn't stream my video service as planned. Rooftop bar was closed - disappointing, as I was looking forward to enjoying a drink by the pool. Poor signage, hard to find where you want to go. Front desk called our room phone, waking us up at midnight only to say they had dialed our room by accident. All in all, they call themselves a luxury hotel and I was very underwhelmed. I could have gotten the same experience at a chain hotel half the price. Just plain uninpressed.

Miinukset: They charged my card a 15 dollar fee...i used nkthing There was a big bug dead in the middle of the floor they didnt pick up while cleaning. The garage had a lot of curbs that were low and unmarked

Plussat: The valet was nice, but the front desk lied and told me it was cheaper than self parking.

Miinukset: The bed was saggy in the middle and my back hurt sleeping on it. My original room was given to a different guest that the front desk checked in with my name a few hours before I ever arrived at the hotel.

Miinukset: Air conditioner had to have the fan on at all times or it didn’t blow air at all the sink in the bathroom was broken but it did work but that’s not the way a 4 or 5 star hotel is supposed to operate also in the morning the entire hotel had the smell of sewer that was open and the smell was atrocious so that was a deal breaker as far as going back to your hotel again

Plussat: When my husband and I walked in, The Admiral was beautiful and so welcoming.! I wanted a room on a high level but my husband checked us in and we were on level 5.. so as we rode the elevator to the room, got to the room and the room had a smell as if someone was smoking inside the room .. mind you this is a non Smoking facility.. any-who, I called the front desk and the guy(I wish I got his name) he came up and he immediately smelled the odor and he moved my husband and I.! We got an even nicer room on level 11 with a great view of downtown.! This hotel has 12 floors.! And it’s amazing, comfortable and warm feeling rooms.!

Miinukset: Previous reviews and photos gave the impression this was a NICE hotel. This is a cheap motel. Water damage to door and room. Loud people around all night. Horrible smell. Pillows were throw pillows in pillow cases. Room was dirty.

Miinukset: There were bugs in the bed in 2 rooms that they showed us. There was mildew on the wall in 1 room. I will never stay at another quality inn ever.

Plussat: I didn't do breakfast. The staff was on point and they gave us excellent travel advice on places to view before we left the city.

Miinukset: That we didn't have time to stay longer and that I couldn't sleep in that comfortable bed another night. We loved your bed. And we will be returning soon.

Plussat: The location of the motel is very central and you’re quickly in the trendy area. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Miinukset: The rooms are large and well equipped. However, the rooms are partly worn out and smell strongly of mould. This was the case in both rooms, which I let show me. More than one night I would not have wanted to stay here.

Miinukset: The first room had standing water in the bay tub, they changed us to a room that was occupied and then put us in a smaller room

Miinukset: The pool needed cleaning. Some of the fittings in the room need attention like loose taps in the bath (doesn't bother me - it's a function of the sort of guests who stay. Like the guy who stole about 8 quick porridge sachets from breakfast! Ha!). The sheets had some stains, but were clean (again, this is because of previous guests)

Plussat: Close proximity to Wenzalls Oyster House.

Miinukset: Over flowing toilet, room soaked. Staff does not answer when you dial 0 for office. We were moved to another room the NEXT morning to shower and use bathrooms that were not defective. Bathrooms in front office not working either. Compensation refused.
