When they couldn't give us the room we had reserved, they gave us a king suite for the same price. They were in the right place, at 1:30 am, so we didn't pick something further from the interstate.
Clearly trying to earn the 3-star rating, "open during renovation" did not cut it, from the first moment the front desk said they didn't have our reservation, even though I had it up on my phone. They didn't even want to take the confirmation number. Was it a backend IT problem, or a front-end human problem? I don't know, but it was a problem. Shower curtain rod drooped, making water on the bathroom floor inevitable - manageable but irritating. Breakfast was again an example of 2-star rating, though at least their waffle-iron worked, and the orange juice was cold.

Location, close to freeway, quiet, good free breakfast, coffee bar, had a 1BR suite, was a REAL suite, door between Lvrm and bdrm (not a glorified studio with an entertainment center between the living room and the bed, mini fridge & microwave.
Only thing is theres no elevator, stairs are OK, but when you have suitcases its a bit of a challenge, but overall, great stay, staff and customer service.
