Plussat: The location was great. Very close to the town and restaurants. Also close to the marina so we were able to just walk over to get on the boat that we chartered to fish. The concierge was very helpful also. On Friday evening it was nice that they served drinks and snacks and had a musician playing.

Plussat: Staff was excellent and really instrumental in organising my stay, tours, rent-a-car, airport pick-up and drop-off. They were available around the clock. Breakfast was both continental and local so I did not need look for a local cuisine restaurant - the hotel showed me the Azorean food. Spa and pool. My room had an extraordinary view over the bay of Ponta Delgada.

Miinukset: One of the reasons we booked it was because of the gym. When we arrived there we were informed that the gym is not there any more. The rooms are small and the facilities a little old. We had a burger in the bar and it was the worse i ever tried.

Plussat: The rooms were super comfortable and well appointed. Every staff member we dealt with bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and help us have a great vacation. Everyone from the concierge staff to the bellmen gave us information and advice on things to do and were great with our kids. We are planning our trip back already!

Plussat: The staff. By far the nicest people i have seen in a hotel! Very accommodating, helpful, polite, spoke english perfectly and in general deserve the best for their professionalism and kindness.
Miinukset: The wifi was not safe and the firewall of my professional laptop blocked it, so i could not work at all. This was the only mishap that if it is fixed, the hotel will be top of the list.

Plussat: The breakfast was very good, and a wide selection was on offer. The hotel location is quiet but very accessible to downtown and restaurants. The staff were helpful with requests and when seeking advice about Sao Miguel generally.

Plussat: The hotel is in a quiet street and It's easy to park outside the hotel and to get out and get in into the city easily (we rented a car), also it's a 5 minute walk to the city center. The wifi works fine, the staff in the reception are and very nice and the water of the indoor the pool is warm.

Miinukset: The room cleaning is inconsistent, we had some good days the maid did an excellent job, and there were some days the maid did a lousy job in tidying the room.

Plussat: Ylimmän kerroksen huone oli hienolla näköalalla. Koko parvekkeen levyinen ikkuna ja leveä lasinen liukuovi tekivät huoneesta valoisan ja tilavan tuntuisen (ja tilava se toki oli muutenkin). Sängyt olivat erittäin hyvät. Ilmainen vesipullo odotti tullessa pöydällä.
Miinukset: Kokolattiamatto ei ole enää nykypäivää (vaikka sinänsä siisti olikin). Suihkussa veden lämpötilansäätö oli hankalaa. Parkkialueelta oli ajoittain hankala löytää vapaata paikkaa, koska hotelliasiakaiden lisäksi myös paikalliset näyttivät parkkeeraavan samalle parkkialueelle.

THIS HOTEL IS GEOGRAPHICALLY WELL PLACED IN THE OLD PART OF TOWN IN A NARROW SIDE STREET AND PROVIDES AN OVERALL VERY PLEASANT STAY AND REPRESENTS GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.
Miinukset: INITIALLY WE WERE ASSIGNED TO AN INSIDE COURTYARD ROOM OVERLOOKING THE ELEVATOR SHAFT. THIS ROOM WAS POOR AND IN A STATE OF RELATIVE DISREPAIR WITH DAMP PEELING WALLS AND A BROKEN LAMP. UPON REQUEST WE WERE THEN RELOCATED TO AN OUTSIDE ROOM AT THE REAR OF THE HOTEL THAT PROVIDED AN INTERESTING CITY ROOF TOP VIEW AND WAS AWAY FROM TRAFFIC. THIS ROOM WAS IN A BETTER STATE OF REPAIR AND PROVED TO BE COSY AND PERFECTLY ADEQUATE.
HOTEL WI FI INTERNET COVERAGE WAS AVAILABLE BUT OFTEN INTERMITTENT AND WITH LIMITED SIGNAL STRENGTH IN ROOMS BEYOND THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING.
HOT FOOD CONSISTING OF EGGS AND BACON AT THE BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS NOT HEATED AND WAS THEREFORE COLD SHORTLY AFTER THE 0730 BREAKFAST START..

Plussat: The staff was extremely helpful. Even gave us beach towels to take to the thermal springs. It was our wedding anniversary when we arrived and a bottle of champagne was delivered to our room. Over all experience was wonderful. Made if very easy to rent a car for the day.

Plussat: The location is good and it has a car park which is good (although description at time of reservation didn't had this info), as most tourists will rent a car in this location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. All suggestions for restaurants were spot on! I will definitely consider this hotel again whenever I come back.
Miinukset: (not a dislike but a factor for improvement) The breakfast was good, but it could have a larger variety. The amount of guests during my stay (during February) could easily justify that.

Plussat: We enjoyed the overall feel of the Boutique Style Hotel with spiral staircases, libraries and comfortable sitting areas on each floor. The breakfast was very good and location was within walking distance to shops, restaurants and city center.

Plussat: Everything! I had to stay overnight in S. Miguel due to a change in my flight, and I was sad to stay so little. Big and confortable room for a good value, genuinely friendly staff, there was a cradle ready for my 10 month son, and since we had to leave very early in the morning and before breakfast, they offered to prepare us a breakfast to go. I wish I stayed longer.

Plussat: I was at this hotel more than 15 years ago and I have excellent memories from that stay. It was really good to see that after all this time the hotel evolved, still modern, but keeping the high standard from the past. All is excellent, including the building (an old music school), the staff, the breakfast (with a great variety of the amazing Azores cheeses) and the location (walking distance from all the good places in Ponta Delgada). Resuming, it was a pleasure to come back after all these years!

Miinukset: The views from the ocean view room are AMAZING! The staff was absolutely wonderful! My only negatives were that it was REALLY windy when we were here and the patio door rattled all night so I didn't get much sleep. We also had two cockroaches in our room. One was pretty big and I killed it. There was a little one that came out the first night but not the second. Overall this doesn't detract from the hotel. This is more just an FYI. Overall I would stay again!

Plussat: Very nice facilities. A huge room (a studio apartment). Everything you need in the kitchen (except no food which you'd obviously have to buy yourself). It was prob a low-price (30eur) only because of off-season, but it would be a good deal even if it was a little more expensive.
Miinukset: The hot-water was not working in the morning, but the staff were profusely apologetic, so I think it was very unusual. It'd be nice to put a little freebies in the kitchen as a welcome? (free coffee, etc) A location is a bit remote, but no problem with a car.

All the staff was always eager to help, considerate and friendly and they did everything they could for the guests to have a memorable time, and it showed. Breakfast was amazing, gathering in the garden outside (and even in February the weather was great for being outside) with lots of different options. They also held thematic dinner nights in the garden, different each day, with some being just really good food and lots of drinks, to really unique experiences (plus at really really good prices, especially for multiple drinks and excellent food). Rooms were immaculate, all shared spaces (e.g. bathrooms) where not just clean but spotless at all times, beds where comfy and they even offered a fully equipped kitchen with tons of kitchenware, spices, olive oil etc to use. The whole experience also rubbed off the guests, as everyone was happy and friendly and it helped that the way the hostel was built and run prioritized socializing and making friends. Already planning when I can visit again, and I can't wait to go back, really

Plussat: Staff was excellent and really instrumental in organising my stay, tours, rent-a-car, airport pick-up and drop-off. They were available around the clock. Breakfast was both continental and local so I did not need look for a local cuisine restaurant - the hotel showed me the Azorean food. Spa and pool. My room had an extraordinary view over the bay of Ponta Delgada.
Miinukset: It's a bit off the centre of Ponta Delgada but it has its charm.

Miinukset: Sisäilmaoireileva voi herätä päänsärkyyn - liekö kosteus imeytynyt syvälle betoniin? Ikkuna auki nukkuen linnunlaulu ja sisäilmanlaatu olivat kohdillaan. Koska maisemat ovat ihan ok. myös kaupunkiin päin, olisi ollut mukava jos ikkunat olisivat olleet kirkkaat. Saunanlauteet ja paneeliseinät kaipaisi päivitystä ja otatko 5-10 kg kiuaskiviä mukaan niin ei tarvitse löylyä heittää suoraan vastuksille. Porealtaan vesi kannattaisi varustaa vaikka pienellä annoksella klooria... veden tuoksu oli ”luonnonmukainen”.

Miinukset: Breakfast is until 10:30 AM. However, guests are not told that by 10:30 AM staff starts taking everything off the buffet and that by 10:40 AM lights are shut down – even with people seated at the tables and enjoying their breakfast. This is surely a lack of respect to those seated down as there is not even a simple information from the staff saying that they need to close the breakfast room. There is no direct access from the rooms to the SPA and swimming pool area. Guests have to use the elevator to the Ground Floor and then use another one to get to the SPA and swimming pool area. This means that it does not make much sense for guests to walk around the Lobby Area in their Ropes as this is also a Hotel that receives Conferences! Even though the SPA area does offer guests changing rooms, these are not equipped with safes to keep our things. Hotel has a small private access road to their front door. Free Parking is available on the left hand side of this access road and around of the hotel are many available free parking spaces. The hotel itself offers parking at a very low rate. However, guests park wild on his tiny stretch of access road not allowing, in case of emergency, ambulances or firefighters to have access to the Hotel. This is simply outrages, especially when the main emergency exit cannot be open as vehicles simply park in front of it. Being this a private access belonging to the Hotel, there should be a control on this wild parking avoiding any future disaster.
