My companion did use hers, and mine (also a first in many decades). Part of the bumpiness could have been due to a weather system but the plane's movement was jerky when taxiing in Boston. BOS-MUC used to be one of my favorite routes back when it was served by the A360. The new A350 is nothing special except for the entertainment system. Ironically the large screen seemed overwhelming due to the dismal distance to the seat in front."

Miinukset: "The seats in the economy class are too small. Not once did I have someone sitting next to me who could actually fit in his seat. They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Miinukset: "The seating on this aircraft is inadequate for a long flights. Tall people really suffer due to seat size and spacing. There was a 6"6" man of median weight for his height who was in the middle seat next to me and he could barely fit into his seat. It was not his fault, rather the unrealistic expectation that airline seats actually fit today's customer. Not only is there not enough leg room, but the width of the seat leaves no room for arms or shoulders. No one should have to ride 7-plus hours touching the shoulders of the passenger next to them! I used to prefer to fly on Lufthansa because their seating was more comfortable than other carriers, but I will try another airline next time."

Miinukset: "We were worried that our luggage would not make it to our final destination just as it had not arrived on-time at the beginning of our trip from Phila. We were enraged that after printing out our boarding tickets for our 12/21/15, 5:50pm Luthansa Flight to Frankfurt, Germany, that the flight was cancelled the next morning. We were rebooked on American Airlines through Paris, which could not guarantee us a seat on AirFrance to our final destination, Venice, Italy. Next, our baggage did not arrive when we got to Venice and after filling out the claim form for lost luggage and following the directions for following up, Air France never called, sent a text or emailed us when the baggage arrived the next day. Returning from Venice to Frankfurt on 1/1/16, and then on to Philadelphia was a crowded flight, with a wailing baby for much of the trip. We were apprehensive, once again worrying that our baggage would not be on the plane and at the airport in Phila., when we arrived. Though we enjoyed ourselves visiting relatives in Vicenza, Lufthansa made our journey tense, and wrought with anxiety."

Miinukset: "It would have been easier to book our seat assignments if Fdfinnair had directed us to contact American Airlines directly to get seat assignments. Could not pre-select through Finnair. If you did not want the meat meal the vegetarian meals on both flights included mushrooms...not into fungi."

Even though I have TSA pre-check I was jostled around, sent to multiple security lines without any reasoning and the local Chicago TSA and airport staff didn't seem to know what to do. Once it was figured out I was subjected to what was essentially a cavity search. Again I HAVE TSA-pre-check but apparently that means nothing if an airline flags you. It was an extremely upsetting experience but you were in a situation of either agree to the invasive search or get stranded over 1000 miles from home. I will NEVER fly Iberia again after a cancelled flight and being stranded in the wrong country on the way to my vacation and the horrible security experience on the way back. I seriously may never go to Chicago either after seeing the complete lack of organization and traumatizing personal invasion. I fly a lot for work and have never had such a horrible experience. I would really like to know how many terrorists are caught with these invasive searches and would love to know the justification for sticking your hands inside someone's pants and grabbing their privates after they have already gone through a metal detector AND the body scanner. Especially for someone who has already passed a federal background check to obtain pre-check status. Absolutely ridiculous."

She also checked on us multiple times to see if there was anything else she could help us with."

It took us over an hour to get through the line, then another 20 minutes to get our seats changed because the seats we had been assigned weren't suitable for an infant safety seat! Also, the plane is older than the one I first took on the RDU to london route back in 2001. The seating is cramped and there is no seat back entertainment."

Miinukset: "I am used to traveling continents with other companies. There has always been 2 check in bags allowed with no extra charge as long as you are under 23kg on each. I get to the airport with my 2 bags ready, TAP tells me on large holidays, they only allow 1 bag to be checked to my specific African destination until January 11. And that one bag will cost me $120. They will not let me have the second one. Who does that? How much sense is this supposed to have. I checked with others and they do not do that. That rule rule is unfair and racist. Now that I am back, I have a bag missing. Wow!"

Plussat: "The better question is what did we not like."
Miinukset: "Careless staff, unorganized, rude, long lines with slow working agents. We were traveling with our three and six year old and started with a weather delay and then eventually a cancellation. We stood at the Barcelona airport from 7pm until 2:30am with our children. Nobody offered us food vouchers, taxi or hotel. We had to ask and only got a hotel which was an hour away and taxi on us costing us over $100 euro! Everything closed and our children ate cookies from a vending machine for dinner. Finally we got to our hotel after 3am and slept until 6:30am to catch another taxi on us back to the airport just to find out it’s delayed and we would miss our connection in Madrid back to Miami. We arrived the airport again at 9am and at 3pm we’re finally given food vouchers for our hungry children to eat something. American Airlines has a direct flight from Barcelona to Miami but they insisted they couldn’t do that for us and we’d again stay another night in Barcelona at a hotel. This would all be fine if we weren’t traveling with small children, they didn’t have school and we didn’t have to work and had extra money to pay for all the inconveniences. This was by far the worst experience we’ve had and will never choose Tap again for our travels!"

Plussat: "First off I'd never heard of this airline but that was ok because we (group travel) were originally booked on another aiine I'd never heard if before either called Nirwegian. Well less than 24 hrs before we were scheduled to fly out, the exact same day, they cancel our flight! After a lot of phone calls and wait times we were booked onto TAP AIR PORTUGAL. Easy check in, my carry on was great, entertainment was on point, food was good (first European trip), crew was nice, plane was huge; just a good experience overall. I will definitely fly with them again."
Plussat: "Everything was great. No complaints, just an acknowledgement abt layovers and the time needed. Had an hour an a half layover but by the time you get on line to go thru customs n security again we were definitely cutting it close but that's TSA not the airline but the airline could have maybe added another maybe 20-25 mins to the layover. We felt like world travellers running for our connecting flight tho and we loved it! Lol!"
Miinukset: "The flight was oversold and we got bumped off with 20 other passengers even though we had all booked months in advance. I’m still not in Marrakech, now a flight to New Jersey. I’m so sad and it’s my wedding anniversary."
Miinukset: "Theo charge me a lot for my luggages I just try to call many times to tap for ask about the sports luggages and I never can reach then nobody ever answer the fone . They charge me 124 $ for my board and 90 dollars for my bag the total is 214 $ that’s almost the same price of the ticket ."
Miinukset: "The fact that the airline only gave us a 18Euro voucher good enough for one meal. A thievery."
Plussat: "Food was abundant and pretty good. I paid $91.95 US (think it was 75 euro) for the exit row and felt this was money well spent."
Miinukset: "They charged me $90 for my luggage. Several weeks or perhaps even months after I booked, I received an e-mail saying I had booked Super Cheap Economy or some such. It had a link to pay for 'additional services' but not luggage. At the time of booking, I checked and the price given was $35. So, I have protested the additional $55 with my CC company and will see what happens. BTW the luggage was not overweight. They turned off all the lights, including my personal reading lamp, so I could not read and had to just sit there doing nothing. That really blew big chunks. I only got two small glasses of wine."

Miinukset: "We were in first class, and no On Demand IFE!!! You do have a personal screen in the seatback, but they only play continual loop movies. For us, we started with one movie, but then due to technical difficulties, the crew had to reboot the entire system. So once it was back up and running, they switched the movie. And even that one didn't play through....apparently, at some point they determine its "bedtime" and turn off the IFE!! Crazy in this day and age!!! Also, the plane is old and REALLY worn. Lots of dirt, tired seats, yucky bathrooms, etc. This plane needs an overhaul!! No storage anywhere in the seats either, which was shocking. And the angle lay flat seats are certainly fantastic in comparison to Coach seats, but still hard to sleep and get comfortable."

Miinukset: "we were 2 people flying, 1st person got a message from TAP that the flight schedule was changed to 1hr earlier, i was not informed about this until late night. Then once we got to the airport for the earlier flight, they said that the flight was delayed atleast one hour. Flight numbers were not changed so i guess they just combined 2 flights together to save or something, so we ended up missing hotel breakfest and ended up waiting in the airport for more than 2 hours because of bad communication."
Plussat: "Flew Lisbon to Amsterdam. Complimentary Meal and wine offered. Efficient staff. Food was good for airline food."
Plussat: "Everything except the lack of space was quite agreeable though the food was exceptionally unremarkable."
Miinukset: "I am 6'1 which is not even thaaaaat tall and there was NO way to stretch out in the seat even with the center seat empty. I have literally never been on an airline with such tiny seats. I will always look forward to a TAP flight with trepidation, and I'm not even going to think about flying TAP on an intercontinental flight. It's a pity, because otherwise it's not a half bad airline."
Plussat: "My dad needed a wheelchair service. All the crew were polite and helpful, and everything was very well-coordinated"
Miinukset: "t took the crew 3 hrs on the tarmac to figure out the plane was unsafe to fly!"
Miinukset: "The flight from Toronto to DFW was a basic experience. It was the last leg of a long trip, so our family did our best to sleep through the late flight. The only thing I noticed was a generally blasé attitude by the flight attendant when our toddler woke up to ear pain during descent. Her colleagues on the previous leg had been much more helpful. She wasn't rude - just left us to manage the crying, which we were fine to do for what I am sure felt like an eternity to fellow passengers."
Miinukset: "Checked carry on from Montreal to RDU. Bag was never entered in the system (customer service at Toronto stop could not find record for the claim tag we were given), which caused a problem with customs. Bag did arrive with rest of luggage at destination, however."
Miinukset: "third time flying with air Canada rouge to vegas and its the same story every time. They never check and everyone brings in 3,4 carry on so they don't have to pay the 25 dollar fee. Then there's no room and flight is delayed because of that."
Plussat: "My mother's attendants and the flight crew were very friendly and courteous to her."
Miinukset: "No information or communication about bringing your own food or snacks on board. No food, snacks,entertainment or immigration forms were available. There was some food for purchase but if you didn't have a credit or debit card then you couldn't buy it. My mother was in a wheelchair waiting to board in Toronto and would have bought food to either eat there or carry on the plane but another passenger was severely reprimanded for getting out of her wheelchair and going to the bathroom, so my mother was intimidated to stay seated and not go to the bathroom nor ask any questions as to if she could go and buy some food or snack to eat while she was waiting. Only juices were served. She was flying since 11 am and arrived at 9:30 pm without any food. The website as well as all emails should inform about luggage weight as well as food and entertainment. On a layover the attendants should be more cooperative with disabled passengers and allow them to use the bathroom as well as to go and buy food."

Plussat: "As we approached Raleigh ~3:15am, over 4.5 hours late, the pilot apologized for the delay, which was thoughtful of him. And we arrived in one piece, so that was good too."
Miinukset: "While waiting for the flight, I whined on FB about our probable delay, and a friend responded with "I'm guessing that you're crammed at the end of that terminal hallway with about 10 other gates of people with no airplanes, no information, and 2 AC employees." Spot on. Apparently such delays, understaffed gates, and failures to communicate with passengers are par for the course. Friend even predicted the free bagels AC would eventually offer at the restaurant that closed 3 hours before our flight finally left. He didn't predict the multiple announcements about assorted other flights not having functional restrooms so please pee before boarding."

Miinukset: "We had booked 3 tickets on line, through Travelocity to, fly on June 2, from Nashville and Raleigh via Toronto to Berlin. We assumed our tickets were for Air Canada. It was never stated that we had booked tickets on ROUGE, their budget airline. We are avid and frequent travelers and after paying nearly $ 5.000.00 we feel ripped-off and deceived. It is particularly painful, since this trip was supposed to be special, for our 50th wedding anniversary. If Air Canada is represented by Travelocity it should at least insist that it is not misrepresented. Air Canada's reputation is worth the effort. A more appropriate name might be Air Canada Rogue. Plussat: "The Canadian airports are much nicer than the US airports. Things seem to flow better. They are cleaner and have more services than the US. They also have less people. Air Canada is a very good airline. They had schedule issues like any airline, but they handled them well and communicated them well. The staff was friendly and helpful. The meals were very good. Our trip was long, but that was due to our choices. I was very satisfied and highly recommend Air Canada."
Miinukset: "All the planes are full. Seating is cramped unless you pay a lot for an upgrade. We found connection times tight in Montreal. We had to jog each time to make our connection."

Plussat: "All flying may have weather issues. At almost 1 am there was a wonderful ticket agent that was in charge of all of the rescheduled flights in the "basement" area of the Toronto airport. Thanks to her for her pleasant attitude."
Miinukset: "Lack of communication: 1. There were gate changes that just showed up on the board with no verbal announcement. 2. There were a large number of rescheduled flights on July 1, 2016. We were all "herded" into a small, hot area. It seems like this time of day has a number of late flights that don't seem to have a good plan. 3. We landed in Greensboro and the pilot walked in to tell us after the fact. Come on, an announcement before the actual landing would have been good communication."

Miinukset: "We were issued boarding passes with unassigned seats for myself and my husband even though we checked in 23 hrs before flight. Instead got GTE ~ we were told by agent at baggage drop that the flight was oversold and this means we're on standby so we have to go wait by the gate because he didn't know if we would get on the plane. So we stood for 2 hrs at the front of a line with 38 other standby passengers only to be told 10 mins before boarding, when someone FINALLY showed up, that we should go sit down, they're going to call by last names and to not worry because everyone has a seat!!! Utter shambles! Couldn't someone come out and tell us this earlier??!! Rude, uncourteous, unapologetic staff. Common courtesy would see people standing in line and deal with them first! One passenger was told she should have booked earlier although she bought at the same time as us - 3 months ago! Another couple 1 week ago and another since June. So the reason given that the tickets were bought late is untrue! We asked an agent why Air Canada would oversell tickets and was told it was business! Told him this was very dishonest of Air Canada, only to get back a very rude and frankly surprising answer- "I'm sure you do dishonest things at your work too!!" Not one Air Canada employee in this whole process took the time out to treat us like paying customers, or bothered to realise we have lives to get back to. My husband works for Parliament and had to be at work the next morning and this undue stress thinking that he wouldn't get to work caused him to experience a migraine of which he is a sufferer. I have flown countless times on various air lines and have never been treated like this before. After this experience I'm seriously considering this to be the last time I ever fly with Air Canada and will definitely be sharing my experience with colleagues, friends and family. However, I was quite pleased with the fact they even had flights going to such a small airport. It is very convenient for me, so I will be using this route again!"

The price was better than most of the other airlines."
Miinukset: "My luggage did not make this flight from my previous flight causing a headache in Toronto when I waited at US Border Patrol and Custom's ridiculous new screening system for notification that they had screened a bag that was never going to show up. Someone could have let us know. Additionally, one of the stewardesses on this flight was a bit stern and precise. She might make a better customs agent or immigration officer than a stewardess. I enjoyed watching her correct the other passengers."
