Miinukset: "Our incoming flight was delayed so we missed our original connection. We were rebooked on a flight 5 hours later. That flight was then further delayed by 1.5 hours because that incoming plane had left London late. So we got to Florence 8 hours later than anticipated all because Swiss flights are not running on time."
Miinukset: "Second delay of my return trip with no notice from the airline. Swiss employees herded passengers like sheep forna second passport inspection after the 3 hour delay, speaking to passengers in an abusive tone. It made me extremely uncomfortable."
Miinukset: "This was beyond the worst travel experience I have ever had. First, there was no gate information desk so we could only see our flight was delayed on the flight board with no further information. When we tried to ask a person working at a gate we quickly got "I don't know, there's no information for you", until eventually after an hour of no information we knew we would miss our connection from Zurich-Boston. We couldn't possibly figure out any other way of getting home to Boston because again, there were no information desks for this, just gate check points. When we got to Zurich, we had missed our connection by about 30 minutes which meant we had to wait in a line for a transfer desk and be put on a new flight. After 2.5 hours of waiting at the transfer desk we were told was the only one we could go to, we had enough and went to a different transfer desk where there was a minimal line. After 30 more minutes we were helped there but by that point there was no chance of getting home to Boston that night. We were put up in an "airport hotel" 35 minutes out of Zurich with a voucher for 20 francs for dinner and 20 for breakfast. The problem with this accommodation was that we didn't get to the hotel until 11pm when the restaurant there had closed. They gave us water, an apple and a hot sandwich that was one of the soggiest things I've ever attempted to eat. We only could get 4 hours of sleep because there were only 2 shuttle times back to the airport and we would miss our new flight if we had taken the second one. People were turned away from the first bus so I can't imagine everyone was even able to make their rebooked flights. Because of the bus schedule being so early, we didn't get breakfast from that voucher either. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences flying I have ever had and what made it especially terrible was the complete lack of any communication or helpfulness from anyone dealing with our situation beside the woman at the transfer desk who helped get us on a new flight. From this experience, I hope to never fly Swiss Air again and get a refund plus some for the debacle we went through."

I ended up not catching the first flight of my reservation. When it came time to catch my second flight of the reservation I was told at the airport that my flights were canceled because I did not catch my first flight then proceeded to tell me I would have to buy another ticket to catch the same flight. I would like to get a full refund since I was not able to catch any of my flights. Not only was my return flight canceled but I was never notified it was."

Food and confort is worse than ever

The flight from Vienna to Los Angeles was better than the flight over. It was the newer version on business class seats on the Boeing 777 which are very comfortable. The older version is ok, but needs to be upgraded. Food and wine was very good. Entertainment needs better movie selections.

This crew could have made an effort to deliver the passengers to the Vienna on time or to delay departures of the plains that the passengers were connecting to. There is no excuse for what they did to us.

They were unhelpful & they kept putting me untold & hanging up on me with their ticket agency on phone too."

Luckily I spoke with a lovely lady at Lufthansa, explained the situation and she re-instated return flights for an admin fee. Will never ever use Swiss Airlines again."

Plussat: "From start to finish, Sevdije was in great hands. She had to be in a wheelchair, and there were three connecting flights in countries where she doesn't speak the language. It could have been so complicated, and everyone made it SO EASY. She was all smiles when she arrived in Boston. THANK YOU!!!!!!"

Miinukset: "Original flight cancelled so rebooked ojba floght five hours later - then with one hour to go until that second flight, that was cancelled as well. Totally unhelpful ground staff, who were oblivious to the fact that I had a work commitment the next day so couldn’t overnight in some random hotel at an airport to suit Austrian’s policies. Eventually routed via Lisbon which meant literally flying all night to arrive at 0600. Lufthansa and Austrian have some serious faults to correct."
Plussat: "Even on this short 1-hour prop flight they do have average service and pass out Swiss chocolate."
Plussat: "The crew and the service was excellent. Dinner was excellent. The hot breakfast never came. We were served a roll and one small cup of coffee with no refills. That was my only complaint. On a long overseas flight I think a hot breakfast would have been better than a roll."

Miinukset: "I felt like the airlines deliberately cheated me. I purchased a flight that was listed as "economy" , which means I am authorized one suitcase. When I got to checkout they said I had pay for the suitcase. Turns out my flight was economy 'light' flight and I had to go the Austrian airlines desk and pay euro 40 for my suitcase. Wish that would have been clear when I purchased the ticket. Also there is no clear info on what the cost is for your bag at what point in the check-in process."
Plussat: "They were really good with checking in my excess baggage and my two cats. Cats travelled well and arrived as expected. Check in at O'Hare was very friendly. In the air, flight attendants were very accommodating and friendly. All luggage and cats arrived! The plane from O'Hare to Austria was very nice!"
Miinukset: "I think I have gotten used to Asiana's and Korean Airlines'. It just didn't seem to measure up to their business class service. The food (which has been highly rated!) I found to be just mediocre. Maybe it's because I was living in Asia for eight years and had become more accustom to asian cuisine?? I didn't love the seat either. When you recline, your feet are cramped inside a small area under the seat in front of you. It was cramped. The ability to customize the seat recline was limited. I like being able to move the head and feet into my own customized position. The business class seats from Vienna to Amman felt like coach."
Miinukset: "My parents were traveling, they dont speak english and I verified with Austrian airlines that they would be assisted at the gates and that they had the correct visas for each airport they had a layover in. I was assured there would be no problems. Upon boarding they were not able to get on their flight. I have never had so many communication issues and frustrations in the middle of the night with an airline. disappointed."
Plussat: "The Swiss Air staff provided water and nice sandwiches for us while we stood in line for hours and put us up in a very nice hotel for the night."
Miinukset: "My first flight with Austrain Airlines was 2 hours late in leaving, partly because they mixed our baggage up and had to have each of us leave the airplane to identify our baggage before getting back on again. Because of this, I missed my connecting flight in Zurich. Apparently hundreds of other passengers were in a similar situation, because I spent the next 6.5 hours standing in line to getting my new itinerary and hotel vouchers."
Plussat: "It was a total nightmare all Austrian flights they put us on were canceled !!! We did not leave Vienna for another 7 h a total nightmare all planes had technically difuculties !! Austrian airlines had total chaos !!!"

Miinukset: "This was not business service. The seats were uncomfortable, virtually no leg room."
Miinukset: "We ended up needing to check a bag. It cost 40 Euros which seemed high. We were sent to another line to pay then back to check in. Then our flight was 45 minutes delayed leaving. Fortunately the pilot got us in to Zurich only 20 Mon late. Just typical "never know what's gonna happen"."
Miinukset: "The business class was not really business class, I guess a 3 hour Business Class flight doesn’t have a seating configuration t Like the new A321. With all said Austrian Air is on the top of its field,"

Miinukset: "My Swiss flight from Stuttgar via Zurich to JFK was cancelled before 24 hours without explaining the reason. They should explain the reason at least. I had to take an another flight and arrived at JFK after 6 hours from the original flight. My trip was totally messed up, so I was not happy at all."

No option to pay for a second luggage; the company website very unclear about the luggage policy; no contact information as well as no web payment service; days before my flight, spent a lot of time and efforts to know that I could pay for a second luggage at the airport on my departure; 2. Paid $120 or so for the second luggage!!!??? After decades flying Austrian I will try switching to your competitors."

Plussat: "If you have to fly coach, this was the way to go. The star were lovely, plane clean, food was good. Very nice flight from LAX to Vienna."
Miinukset: "Designs of Business Class seatings need some improvement. It seemed there was waste of useful space. Therefore, the area for Business Class seating was big but there were not enough space for everything."

Miinukset: "Waited longer to start boarding the plane than the flight took. There are 2 gates in Lugano "airport" and no plane or flight at the other gate. Shouldn't be this difficult. The inflight crew was nice and attentive for the little time we saw them but the ground crew never ev n bothered to make an announcement. Just had us sitting there like a heard of cattle."

Plussat: "The plane arrived at destination ahead of schedule."
Miinukset: "€40 for a single 12 kg checked bag--that could have been gate checked? Seems excessive to this traveler."
Miinukset: "Although AU blamed late arrival of the plane from Russia, fact is that the plane was at least one hour at the dock before boarding and the AU team was just extremely slow to get boarding done. We were all invited 45 minutes before boarding to board, when apologies were already offered for the slight delay, which turned into 1.5 hour overall. Worst is the lack of communication during the 45 minute wait, for which I have little understanding seeing many older people clearly suffering."

The chairs are terrible on the plane, even though they are economy class the chair cushion should still be there, its a long flight its like sitting on a piece of wood.

Was miss informed on baggage allowance

I will never fly with them again. Boarding experience was awful, food was awful, entertainment system did not work throughout the whole flight, the people in the airport were terrible especially in security

No screen map on in front of you to track the flight like Turkish air! No food or coffee for 2h30 just a small plain water and a very small piece of chocolate🤔

A simple but important detail."
Plussat: "The crew was very professional in their manner and went the extra mile to make sure the passengers were happy and comfortable. Wine was free and they offered a Baileys with coffee service that was a nice touch."
Miinukset: "Food was so so. I have had better airplane food. Boarding was not grouped by zones, so was a bit slower than usual."

Plussat: "Flew back last weekend in February. Transfer between plane from Barcelona in Frankfort (LH hub) to flight to Boston extremely chaotic. Masses of passengers all attempting to transfer to US bound flights. Insufficient staff from both Lufthansa and German border control to process or even organize the masses of people flying that day. Mob scene at transfer points. Not up to LH usual standards. Quite surprising as their passenger volume data should have alerted them to impending problems. Our flight was delayed over an hour for takeoff so USA bound connecting passengers (whose luggage was already on the planes) could be processed."

Plussat: "Boarding was done very quickly. Unlike the norm nowadays, people weren't cramming every single inch of space in the overhead. In addition, the flight wasn't full so my travel companion got to enjoy a full row to himself while I enjoyed an empty seat next to me to stretch out. The food was very good. The staff came by quite a few times to offer orange juice or water. The entertainment syren was excellent. I watched four full movies on the trip and have in mind at least a couple more for the return leg."

Miinukset: "The seats in the economy class are too small. Not once did I have someone sitting next to me who could actually fit in his seat. They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Very slow boarding and a huge arrival delay resulted in many missed connecting flights. Luckily we were not one of those. Barely made it to our transfer.

The actual flight was ok. But was a mess before departing AMS. My previous flight was late, so missed my connection in AMS. Then I spent over two hours getting things settled to get another flight. I was unable to complete my request online, and no one at KLM in AMS wanted to help. They kept giving me the run-around until I finally convinced them K was stuck without their personal help. It added a lot of stress (and about 5 more hours of transit time) to my overall journey.

Easiness

Delta operated. Missed connecting flight due to single late crew member in dfw. 1.5 h late. Missed work and incurred costs of over $800. Delta failed to hold connecting flight(s) at gate and it actually left EARLY. Fail. Never again.

Almost the only airline that offers free coffee and bread even in short 1 hour flights

And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

Then our luggage lost for 3 days. Not happy! We ended up flying from Toronto to Paris then to Bordeaux. Lost my upgrade money for seats. Now have to deal with KLM for refund!"

Whether it's her personal opinion or KLM's policy, it's unreasonable to think that a 3 years old child could or should hold her pipi over 20 minutes, while they slowly and inefficiently trying to give out food. Several parents were there with the request to let us through to the toilet with small children and she smiled in our face and said "no, we will finish first and than you can go". She might be not fit for the job anymore, but KLM can't afford this kind of treatment."
Plussat: "The flight was delayed by 40 minutes initially then a further 20 making it an hour late. Sitting at the gate there was then suddenly a last call to board the flight and a mad rush for everyone to get on. I appreciate that delays happen but the lack of communication ragardinh altered boarding times didn't make the situation any easier"

Easy on boarding. No food or free water/soft drink but it was a short flight so that was fine. Seats were average.

All other Airlines i have been with gives you a choice to choose between 2 different meals, buT SAS they decide for you ! And i have never seen any airline serve pork/ ham because of different believes people have, but SAS service you pork on an international 8 hours flight ! This is first time and last time I’m gonna fly with SAS. I always fly with KLM , perfect in everything and anyway. NO MORE SAS FOR ME !"

Also, the wine selections were not the standard fan favorite. Not many enjoy Zinfandel or the white wine they were serving."
Plussat: "Everything about the flight was fine. Boarding, flying and retrieving luggage were all standard and went smoothly."
Miinukset: "I was upset that neither Kayak nor SAS provided any information about our ticket being a basic, basic ticket, by which I mean, did not include any checked luggage allowance in the price of the flight. I ended up paying 140 additional Euros for two bags. It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising."
Miinukset: "SAS charged me 70 Euros for a small 14 KG carryon luggage. It should have been free. Even Ryan air only charged 35$ for a checked bag. This was ridiculous and service was poor."

Plussat: "Because of bad weather at the Faroe Islands, the aircraft made a missed approach (go-around) on the first attempt to land. The weather had improved sufficiently to make it in on the second attempt. The pilot and the cabin crew were excellent in keeping everyone informed, and telling us the status of the weather and the likelihood of getting in. The pilot was outstanding in his communication with the passengers and the cabin crew were great in re-assuring passengers after the missed approach. The flight crew handled the difficult weather conditions very well."
Plussat: "Two 20-something young ladies tried to figure out system, individual issues while rest of us stood and watched versus passing through loading area. In addition, delayed due to short handed baggage loading crew. Flight was one hour late departing. Luggage did not make connecting flight to London. No wifi either."

We paid more for a non-stop flight we did not receive, lost wages because we both worked half-days to accommodate this flight departure time, and lost half a day of our trip. When we did fly on SAS to return, I found the service and amenities lacking. Why serve drinks well before your meal time and then not come back through with drinks again? Overall, it was not the best flight experience."

They then scheduled me on Lufthansa, but due to delays in Frankfurt due to weather we missed out connection to ORD. 4+ hours after standing in endless lines Lufthansa resheduled us the next day. But, it took nearly two days to get home."
Miinukset: "Late take- off and landing. Indifferent flight attendants. Two of my children were bullied into giving up their bulkhead seats to a couple with a child. We had to pay extra for those seats and we were given no compensation."
