Plussat: "My experience on Turkish Airlines exceeded expectations. Boarding was smooth and the flight was on time. Service was excellent and staff professional. The crew was courteous but the hostesses could try smiling a bit more. Their courtesy was appreciated but it felt very methodical, more of an obligation and not spontaneous. The pilot did a great introduction and gave information about the trip. Also the plane toilets were clean compared to other companies. I expected to see a wider selection of more recent and award winning movies. Will definitely fly Turkish Airlines again."

Miinukset: "NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CRITIC OF THE AIRLINE Having personally experienced the latest in the consequences of travel related rules mandated by US public officials, I am yet again left wondering if they, and their families, go through these rules that they impose on the general public. Or if they just breeze into their private airport wings and planes. I doubt they take off shoes, belts, and such, or go through irradiated machines. But going through about 3 extra layers of security while transiting is a bit much. Not to mention the extra hours spent relinquishing and reclaiming laptops etc. Frankly, non of these acts makes anything safer. It is akin to the permanently parked police vehicle on the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC since 9-11. What is that supposed to deter?"
Plussat: "Staff were all amazing, meals pretty good for airline food, plenty of tv, movie and music options to stay occupied for the long trip."

Plussat: "This was the best coach experience I've ever had. Food was great, tv screens were large, little bags with earplugs, slippers... were provided. Other airlines could take some pointers on how to treat passengers on long, overseas flights."

Miinukset: "I was told in Vienna that I would be allowed to carry my Kindle onto my flight from Istanbul to the USA. I was not able to and had to wait in a very long line both in Istanbul and in the US. I understand the change in regulations, but it is important that all employees of Turkish airlines are aware of the change. We also waited one hour on the runway in Istanbul. Additionally, there was a small section of the plane which received food roughly an hour later than the rest of the plane. I was on this section, and was uncomfortably hungry by the time I received food."
Plussat: "I like the Airline and I think the food is good, the problem sometimes is when you travel a lot you get the same food :) The crew are always great! I do a lot of connections in Istanbul and we never missed one in about two years flying there at least 4 times a month."
Miinukset: "During boarding they do not always board the Gold members first and in some cases when they do it is only to go on the bus before the others. I would like the Gold members to go first with either a bus of their own to at least with part of the bus reserved and we are allowed first on the plane."
Plussat: "I liked that the airline had a nice sleeping pouch that they hand out to you containing a pair of slippers, socks, toothbrush and paste, socks and eye shields. The food is absolutely fantastic and one of the best inflight meals that I had to date! Economy seats are pretty standard like on every airline. The seats do have USB for your devices and I think the air line should have had wifi but I never have my devices on as I would be sleeping for the vast majority of the time of the flight. Another interesting experience, this was my first trip where I had experienced little to no turbulence throughout the entire flight, a first in any travel for me."
Miinukset: "Took 4 hours to get to hotel in Istanbul with my old father, as no one helped or guided. Trying to get money back for the visa but no luck yet."

Plussat: "While in Barcelona, Spain I needed to change my departure time, there was the usual long lines ahead of me when a THY Associate questioned me about my travel plans. I explained to her that I needed to change my departure time and she took me out of line and escorted me to the correct window. Standing now at the correct window I was able to quickly make the desired changes. I was so happy I was able to avoid the long lines. THY is a Class A operation indeed. Thank you, Rudy"

My twelve hours from Miami to Istanbul turned out to be less because of the amazing service I recieved. Miinukset: "Seat spacing on a 13 hour flight is just about ok not to freak out ... Luckily one Neighbour was my 4 1/2 year old son and the other a very nice man who kept walking around a lot during the flight... seats felt hard and outdated as well."

Plussat: "Nothing special just a typical early morning domesric flight no entertainment on board food was a tad bit better going back to the states then coming to europe and at least we boarded at the gate not like when we flew Frankfurt athens where we took a bus like we were in the 80s like cattle that was embarrassing at this time and age"

It's not like Lufthansa is a budget airline. It's a full-fledged major carrier charging full-fledged prices. Seriously, I was expecting more."
Miinukset: "This long haul flight was on an Airbus plane with five restrooms in the basement. There was not enough space to accommodate people waiting in the basement so people had to stand on stairs or by the galley. Flight attendants kept on telling people not to do so but there was simply not enough space."
Plussat: "Crew worked hard to make the journey pleasant, including the second crew for my connection to New York JFK, a much longer flight. Even some of the food was edible."

Miinukset: "There was a 4.5 hr delay due to "technical difficulties". We had to switch planes. This caused me to miss my flight to Tucson out of LAX. When I asked them to help rebook my flight that Lufthansa caused ne to miss, i was told there is nothing they can do. Seeing as how that last flight was not booked through Lufthansa. This is absolutely ridiculous! There were no Lufthansa flights into Tucson so I had no choice but to go with another carrier! So after a long grueling 4.5 hr delay and 11+hr flight now I have to stay in a hotel because my flight out via Southwest was the last one out for the day and The only nonstop flight departs at 12:35 tomorrow. Thank goodness Southwest booked me on another flight at no charge! They take care of their customers. It was not their fault I missed the flight. It was dur to the "techincal difficulties" with Lufthansa. And every hotel within a 8 mile radius has been sold out. And at one point I booked online only to find out upon my arrival, after paying for taxi and havig him leave, thAt this hotel is sold out and should not have allowed me to book online. So after landing at 7:15 pm at LAX I am just now in bed at a hotel after searching and paying for cabs etc. And on my dime! Absolutely ridiculous !!"
Plussat: "The plane was very comfortable, and I had plenty of space, because I was sitting near to the exit door. The service and the crew were just great. I love traveling with Lufthansa."

Plussat: "Flight departed 30 minutes late (due to a delay with the inbound flight)but a short flight time enabled the delay to be recovered and we landed in FRA on time. A very long taxi (30 minutes) made connection time for my next flight to be very tight."
Miinukset: "Why do LH insist on serving the 2nd meal/beverage service in economy class until 50 minutes before the flight lands? I suspect they would argue it allows passengers to have greater rest however in Y class the passengers are awake long before......could I suggest serving the snack earlier as it prevents a very rushed service as trays are collected and cabin secured very near to the actual landing?"
Miinukset: "Movies didnt have subtitles. Any volume issues or wanting to watch a movie not in your native language and you are out of luck... For 10 hrs."

Miinukset: "I arrived at airport with my connecting flight at 9pm, there was no way to check my luggage until 4am. I could not go to transit hall until someone took my luggage so I was able to board but no place to leave luggage like other airlines, that was not fun since the transit halls had the sleep pods I could have used"
Miinukset: "My flight got canceled and there was no organization from Luftganza side to help the passengers find a hotel No one was telling you anything , no communication between the staff and passengers"
Miinukset: "Food looked awful. I have decided not to open transparent package with sandwitch."
Miinukset: "In July 2015 I booked flight from DTW to PMI to visit family over Xmas holiday. At that time there was no warning or indication of an issue regarding our minor child's passport. On our departure date (12/26) my family was denied boarding because our minor child's passport did not show an expiration date 3 months beyond our departure date. Lufthansa never emailed, called, or otherwise contacted us prior to the departure indicating there was a problem. Had I known about this issue I could have resolved it. While at the airport, Lufthansa made no offer for help beyond suggesting we call Delta or KLH. Further, Lufthansa is not willing to offer even a simple travel voucher for a future flight. We had to forfeit the entire flight package and lost thousands of dollars. I highly advise any future customer to make sure you check your passport expiration date if traveling or connecting to any EU country. I would NEVER recommend Lufthansa to anyone."

Miinukset: "Bags didn't make the connection and because there was only one LH flight a day to Malta we were without luggage our first 36 hours on the island."

Miinukset: "It was a sardine can. Passengers were incredibly patient and well behaved. After boarding, we sat at the gate for 1 hour 20 minutes with no air circulation and no explanation for the delay in departure. Turns out the PA system wasn't working properly. By the time we finally pushed back, we were listening to the safety briefing (in German and then English) for at least the 4th time. During the flight, the cabin lights on the starboard side of the plane were fully lit the entire flight, despite the fact that most people were trying to sleep. But the cabin lights on the port side were dimmed the whole flight. What's up with that? There was no pasta entree available by the time the dinner service got to me. The plane landed 1.5 hours late and many people missed their connections. Overall a poor experience."

Miinukset: "Poor movie selection in the in-seat, and very expensive wifi. Food out of BOS was not great."
Miinukset: "The plane was HUGE, too big. With such a big plane the crowd formed by the gate waiting to board was unmanageable. Also the giant plane felt like it was hard to maneuver during take off and landing. I would very much prefer a smaller plane. The touch screen in front of me was not always responding when I tried to tap the screen. The audio jack was also not working great; sometimes I did not have audio in my right earbud and I had to turn and fidget the plug. The earbuds provided by the airline did not even work when plugged into the screen, I had to use my own earbuds."

What a unpleasant surprise at check-in to find out it was super expensive airticket with only 8 kg of carry on! You are confusing people on purpose, I cant believe your service! And I was loyal customer for years and years. Well, time for change."
Plussat: "The flight was short: 4 hours. It was in time, etc. Certainly no entertainment."
Miinukset: "After the breakfast (rather poor) no drink was suggested. There was a cup for tee or coffee. Empty one. After the breakfast they just took it away with other dirty dishes. It happened to all passengers in my neighborhood."
Miinukset: "KAYAK or Austrian cancelled my ticket. KAYAK officials didn’t show any readiness to do anything about a ticket that was purchased and paid for. My plan worked going to Vienna and to Cairo (although one of the planes were delayed 3 hours which ruined our stay in Vienna) but on the way back from Cairo to LA, I couldn't be with the group because I left 2 hours early and arrived in LA 2 hours late. I pleaded that I came with a group but they said I have a different booking so they couldn't honor keeping me on the same plane as the group. I am very disappointed and will avoid my future travel with Austrian airline"

Nobody even came to tell them that the gate has been changed. It was because of my father's alertness they didn't miss the connecting flight and when my father asked help to members on airport none of them helped my parents and other 4 co passengers which also were on wheel chairs. It was so scary experience for them that they asked me not to book any more flights with Jet Airways. I won't recommend Jet Airways to any of my friends for their parents to travel to USA. I strongly recommend you guys to take a strict action against this. This is so unacceptable."

Miinukset: "on the website i ordered and payed for a meal, and automatically it went to the last and the shortest leg of the flight. it did not ask which leg i was interested in. so i phoned their customer service to get this fixed, they said they cannot fix it and closed the phone on me. on the website is said that from israel you cannot do advance internet checkin, and when i arrived at the checkin they said that i should have done this advanced check in, and since i didn't i need to go to their ticket office and pay a penalty of 35$ per passenger. there also was no warning on the website of any such penalty. i will never fly with them again if i can help it."

No explanation or heads-up, I was just handed a paper boarding pass when I checked my bag, and only after I was past security line I realized that I was bumped from row 4 to row 10. I was able to get a seat in row 4 again at the gate, but not the same seat. Also, there was no priority boarding, even though I paid for it. Given this experience I will only fly this airline if I can get away with a carry on, thus avoiding the check in desk altogether."

It got me where I needs to go, but with the baggage fees, it turned out to be about the same price as other airlines, and I wouldn't recommend the planes for people with any flying anxiety."

This seemed like a stupid pathetic scheme to get more money from their customers. The in flight experience proceeded to be even more pathetic: they don't even serve you water, you have to purchase even such "luxury". What kind of airline doesn't even offer free water to their customers??? It is simply called a human courtesy! This was by far the most pathetic airline business I have ever come across."

AirBaltic's flights have been fine, just this "if you don't use one part-you lose the rest" policy is horrid!"
