3 of us 4 could not check-in online and were suggested to do it with the airline at the airport. When we arrived to the Iberia counter it turned out these 3 people were not on the passengers‘ list, simply did not have a ticket. We had to buy 3 tickets on the go for more than 900€ to take that flight and avoiding to lose other trips from Madrid. PLEASE, CONTACT US for discussing this event and returning our money.
The service was absolutely terrible, check-in had a line that wrapped around the corner, that took about an hour and a half, boarding began late, our plane was scheduled to depart at 5:10 we didn’t depart till 5:50. The service on the plane was absolutely terrible as well. They had no cabin wifi as advertised, no amenities as in drinks or food/snacks. Only to buy, for a 9 hour international flight! I don’t know how or why American Airlines chose to be partnered with this airline. Wouldn’t it make sense to partner with airlines that provide the same care for their customers/guest? Never again.
Sorry the Madrid to Zurich was the flight crew comment not the Ibiza to Madrid. The Ibiza to Madrid staff were all good
Very unhelpful in locating me as a passenger
Large crowd at the check in and bag drop with slow inefficient staff. Unwilling to help with checking my luggage through to my final destination although it was no problem on the outbound flight (with a different airline also two separate tickets)

Iberia abandoned its own passengers by delaying an earlier flight. About a dozen of us missed out international connecting flights and the plane was still on the tarmac in "delayed" status. Uneeded headache for Iberias own screw up. Booking through Kayak added extra layer of complexity when trying to make changes.
Plussat: "The price was right!"
Miinukset: "I know the saying “you get what you pay for”, but good service from the flight attendants should be expected in the price. It was hard to get a greeting or a smile from them, far from prompt delivery of food or coffee ordered. We were traveling with two kids under 5, but there was no help offered. You are expected to pay for any and all food or drinks, including water. The airline could at least offer free water. The meal quality was mediocre for the price paid, and their stock ran out pretty fast."
Miinukset: "Not having to wait in the hot line. It is terrible that you cannot pick any seat if you buy economy. And the economy seats are tiny!!! The rate for checking in baggage is more expensive than other airlines. Food was terrible: both for dinner and breakfast had plane awful sandwiches . Not traveling iberia again"

Miinukset: "They charged us for two aisle seats, and then reassigned one of us to a middle seat with no notice. With advance notice, they were unable to provide a meal that would not contain bell peppers, to which I am allergic. On the plane, both meal options contained bell peppers. Surprisingly, the ingredient lists were not available to flight attendants or passengers, and we were only aware of their presence because of seeing them, or having my allergic reaction (which I did) after avoiding the visible ones. The passenger in front of me put his seat in full recline for the entire 10 hour flight, including about 30 minutes when the seat was unoccupied. This put his seat about six inches in front of my chin and made it impossible for me to view the entertainment screen. It also made it difficult to get into and out of my seat. Several of the toilets had clear fluid covering the floor. I did not want to know is this was water or something else. Although our connecting flight in Miami went from gate E21 to gate E30, it took two hours (and 3,000 steps per FitBit) to get there because of being required to claim our luggage, leave security, recheck the bags, and then re-enter security. Our tickets did not provide for TSA-PRE despite having provided our known traveler number in advance. Many notices and directions were only available in Spanish. As they are based in a Spanish speaking country, this is perfectly reasonable, but their services are marketed to English speaking countries and it was a problem for me as a predominantly English-only speaker."

This was the first leg of an expensive international flight and given the price of the 2 legs I should have been upgraded to a more comfortable seat. My flight to Europe on Iberia was excellent. Other thoughts: the plane was old, my seat had a lump in it, zero entertainment, food was over priced. (3 Euro for a tiny water). This may seem petty but ultimately the appearance and function of the plane represents their company as a whole. From my first impressions, I’m thinking as a passenger is: I just hope the age and appearance of the plane isn’t reflective of their repairs and maintenance work as well."

Despite purchasing my flight months prior, and arriving at the airport with plenty of time to to check in, I was told that I was going to be bumped from my flight because it was overbooked, which would mean that I would miss my international connection. After waiting for everyone else to board on a tiny flight, there suddenly was a seat available and they let me board, but they managed to not put my bag on the flight, which means I have no luggage. Lastly, despite checking in more than 7 hours ahead of time for the international flight, I was given a middle seat and was told that I would have to pay $40 if I wanted to switch to an aisle/window. The middle seat was cramped and uncomfortable, particularly for 8 hours (after 7 hours of connections and waiting in airports). UGH."

What could have been better? The seats and food service
I was in flights from sap paulo <-> Madrid, the last one 11/15/21, That takes around 10:30 hour. Can you imagine that is served only a POOR meal after one hour of flight and nothing more??? We don’t have any service (besides in the morning a payed kart) or crew working in anything more than masks control. You need to pay for water / coffee is reasonable ? Even if you consider as low cost flights that you payed around U$ 700, courtesy and education should be showed by crew, things that Air Europe should learn to their employees on the airplane, a very rude people!!! It was not with me, but a complain for a lot people around. I have never been treated Like this before. Air Europa your journey will be short walking in this road. I, a constant traveler, will never more flight with you. I don’t need this kind of services!

You have to walk the entire area (seems like a whole separate terminal) to find the counters which were combined with 6 other airlines. Took only 20 minutes. Then to the opposite corner of the airport to board the plane to Madrid. WOW!"

On the way back personal entertainment system was very, very lagi, additionally reset itself during movie fief times, and from where I was seating other people had the same issue. Coordination at airport was also not the best after landing at JFK, because we spend almost 50 minutes in airplane waiting for docking."
