Miinukset: "After missing our connecting flight in Istanbul on our Turkish Airlines flight on January 9th from LAX-Addis Ababa (due to a nearly 45 minute delayed flight), my sister and I had to spend 24 hours in Istanbul and still pay for a night in our 4 star hotel in Addis, despite the fact that we weren't there. So, in preparation for our flight back to LAX, I spent hours on the phone with a Turkish Airlines representative to ensure that we would not miss our connecting flight on the way back to LAX on January 29 (Jomo Kenyatta-IST-LAX). The TA representative spoke very little English and became incredibly frustrated with me when I expressed my concern about how closely scheduled our connecting flights in Istanbul were. The representative said she could "help us" by seating us at the back of the plane from Jomo Kenyatta-IST, as she was "mostly sure" that our plane would deboard from the back of the plane once we arrived in Istanbul and, in theory, we wouldn't have to wait behind all the other customers to exit. This was totally incorrect: our plane only deboarded from the front exit door and the seats she selected at the back would surely have caused us to miss our next flight were it not for the fact that the plane wasn't full and we arrived only a few minutes late. Still, by the time we got off the plane in IST, our connecting flight was already 15 minutes into boarding. We showed the TA attendants our boarding passes at the long security line, and at first they both said, "don't worry, it will be fine". I had to convince them to let us skip the line as we would clearly have missed our flight. Once we finally made it through security we ran through the ENTIRE Istanbul airport to get to our gate, as we could hear them calling the final boarding call for our flight to LAX. We literally ran as fast as we could for almost 20 minutes straight, with all of our bags, which ended up being over a mile, I would guess. When we got to our gate, we had to go through yet another security line - WHY??? Apparently there was a celebrity in front of us, and while we were sweating and nervous about missing our flight, the security agents were taking selfies with the celebrity. It was insulting and rude and totally unprofessional. The take away for me is that Turkish Airlines should NOT be allowed to sell flights to people that give them less than an hour to make international connecting, especially in an airport as large and disorganized as Istanbul, and especially when Turkish Airlines flights are often late or delayed. This was one of the most stressful flying experiences of my life."

Miinukset: "A series of about 9 rows of 3 seats each row, had errors in to the monitors that normally you can watch a movie, watch news, or listen to music. Approximately 27 people could not use these monitors affixed in the seat before you. These monitors (screens) control the reading lights, the signal for the stewardess. Flight 33 on 6/30/2017 had 12.3 hours of blankness and the complaints were numerous, but the crew were of no use. I wish this would have happened to business or first class. The crew were horrible."

Miinukset: "Our flight was LAX > Istanbul > Oman The connection in Istanbul was canceled. The transfer desk was very overwhelmed by the volume of customers. After 3 hours of waiting I finally got someone to get us on a flight to Qatar and then to our final destination Oman. That person then left work before printing the tickets and I had to start all over again. It was a very stressful and tiring ordeal and cost us an entire day of our vacation."

Plussat: "The touch screens and little care packages we got once we were on the plane were great. The food was really good, too, but they ran out of one dinner option before it got to half the plane."
Miinukset: "The entry to the plane in Istanbul was complicated--double checking at the gate for security and then also the boarding entry. The lines were crowded and disorganized and began late. After we were on the runway, we actually turned around and went back to the gate to let one sick passenger off. the flight attendants went up and down the aisles multiple times opening bins and asking people if the luggage was theirs or not before we could leave the gate again. It was really disorganized and bizarre. The flight itself was fine. The flight attendants weren't overly friendly, and they were missing during longer stretches, leaving passengers to find refreshments on their own. Beyond that, things were thankfully uneventful."

Miinukset: "Once we landed at Istanbul the wheelchair service was very poor. The person in-charge was rude,did not care to provide ride to bathroom or to buy water, There was no water or bathroom nearby. The flight to Amman was cancelled/delayed. First we were told it was cancelled and would be put up in a hotel, but on the way the wheelchair driver was asked to return to office and drop us at a gate. At this gate the departure time kept changing every hour or so without any plane at the gate, or staff. This lasted till next day about 3 PM. For this long period There was no water. The was no assistance to bathroom or food or water. All the passangers were upset. They organized and went to talk to the Airline personnel. They returned frustrated since none of the Airline staff knew anything."

Plussat: "I loved everything about this airline! First the fact, they used a B-777-300ER on this route, which is my most preferred aircraft! Next, they upgraded us to a class which is in between Economy and Business. But even otherwise, their economy is very good! Indian food was served which was very tasty and authentic! Inflight entertainment and beverages were also very good! Cabin crew was excellent! Could find NOTHING to complain, it is now my favorite airline!"

Fortunately the pilot made up for the delay (probably costing the airline thousands in fuel). It seems these days that every KLM flight I take is delayed. This stretch goes back to 2015! Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"

The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

They said we give you a window seat but we have blocked the 2 seats next to you so you have 3 seats. I thanked and asked for that aisle seat and they said no again. Then obviously both seats were fully booked and I jammed in the corner. Ridiculous."

Miinukset: "Overall bad experience with Etihad Airways flying from Dulles to Abu Dhabi. I won't be flying with them again. 1. ETA: I had to apply for an electronic travel authority (ETA) (essentially an electronic tourist visa) twice despite the fact that I had been granted the visa originally by the Government of Australia two weeks prior to my flight. For some reason, airline staff said they could not see the visa information attached to my passport. I showed them the emails from the Government of Australia stating that my application had been successful along with the relevant reference number. The staff told me to apply for another one and let them know once I had. They informed me that this "happened all the time" with their customers traveling to Australia. If it is happening "all the time," Etihad Airways should check their database to ensure there are no glitches. It's Australia, not a third-world country, so it's likely on the Airline's end. The crew did not offer to look up my reference number or otherwise do any leg work to verify the visa that I already had, even when the application page stated that I already had a visa for the relevant time period! This stressed me out just a few hours before I was supposed to take off and could have been handled with a little effort by the staff. 2. Baggage Weight: They are sticklers for baggage weight, weighing your carry-on both prior to check in (it must be under 7 kg) and again right before boarding the plane. Literally no other airline has done this in my entire experience except the cheapo ones. Thankfully, I had a big purse and was able to shift the baggage weight around to get on because they pulled me out of line to board the plane. It's all going on the same plane so it makes no sense at all. This needlessly drags out the boarding process. 3. Crew: They sat a man who was coughing incessantly on my row (I had two empty seats next to me). The crew member accompanied him to my aisle while he told me where he would sit. The crew did not ask me to make space or anything (of course I would have said yes), but this particular gentleman had a cough and made me sick for my trip. I was not happy, and that situation could have been handled so much better. Bottom Line: Do yourself a favor and fly with Emirates. They're far better and professional and are similarly priced. Had none of these issues with them. (Added bonus: the food's a lot better as well)."

Did not serve me the full course of the meal ! This is the service they provided me in Business Class! Please teach your flight attendants proper etiquette towards its passengers the paying customers! I am very unhappy with the overall service!!"
Plussat: "Crew was friendly. Even though we were redirected to a new gate/plane and had half hour delay, our plane arrived on time."
Miinukset: "Was stuck next to an overweight lady who was sitting partially in my seat and crowding me. My gate was changed and we were redirected to a ghetto looking area for the gate. My luggage was not delivered along with my flight and I had to file complaint to get it delivered. It caused lots of hardship as I had no way of contacting my family to let them know I had arrived and was safe. They were all worried when I didn't come out of the airport at Hyderabad in a timely manner since I traveled alone due to an emergency."
Plussat: "Lots of food and drinks offered often and tasted pretty decent."
Miinukset: "I was given a baggage tag without any explanations on what that even means. It would have helped knowing I should keep it safe in case my luggage is misplaced or lost by Etihad- which is was! The seats are not that comfortable and I needed to stand a lot. Bathroom kept running out of soap and needed to wait long for staff to replace. Entertainment system was hard to use due to the person in front of me leaning their chair back the whole time so the screen was in my face."
Miinukset: "Ground agent at Melbourne manager says "sorry, you can't carry your CPAP machine. When I said that there were no questions when I carried it from NY to Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi to Melbourne two weeks ago, he says that the policy was changed last week. Gave a hell of a bad time but finally allowed. These people don't know the policies and just harass customers."

Miinukset: "All but one of the flight attendants, who unfortunately was not in my section, seemed rather terse and far less than kind. Simple requests from fellow passengers were regarded as inconvenient intrusions. The gal in my section would act like she had not heard the requests and then when the passengers would repeat themselves, she would snap, "Please wait till I've finished my service." She rarely would make eye contact with anyone while doing, "her service" and acted like it was a major inconvenience. It was a long flight but the crew on the way to New Delhi on Jet Airways were exceptional and made the flight as pleasant as possible. The Eithad crew lacked this attitude."

Plussat: "I got upgraded to business class on this flight. This isn't something I can afford to do, but I will tell you it is substantially better."
Miinukset: "This ar line has no absolute respect for its people. It seems because it is a fight going to India, which apparently it is not an important country they can do anything. The worst gate (I do not know if this is the air line choice or not), there was no line to boarding, there was not enough seat at the gate and one of the people at the gate was insisting that travelers should sit. The crew was rude to the Indian people, however they themselves were not acting properly. The bus came to get the people from the gate to the plane in Abu Dabi was really bad."

They were short in their responses, forgot requests multiple times, and didn't make the little bit of extra effort to provide translators in Arabic, ensure an elderly lady next to me had the meal she needed, and secure the food options that we asked for. Our row was told us there were no more chicken meals for example, when we saw an attendant on the other side of the plane offer consistent chicken meals for multiple rows to come. They were just being lazy and didn't even want to ask."
