Miinukset: "We flew out of Newark (EWR), and the flight gate was NOT posted on any of the flight departure boards, there was no Icelandair counter to ask for that information (staff had left, as we arrived there shortly after 1 hour prior to departure, so there was no longer even a sign saying Icelandair on it), there were no Icelandair staff or crew to ask, and each and every airport personnel we asked (such as visitor information and security) either did not know or gave us incorrect information. The gate information was not given on our boarding passes, and even Google did not know the gate number! Although we should have had plenty of time, we ended up having to cut through the security line to make it, and even then we came fairly close to missing the flight. I would be very reluctant to ever use Icelandair again, even though I did like the price for the cost of the flight and the flight itself was fine."

Miinukset: "Plane was at full capacity and at least an hour prior to landing flushing of toilets was no longer possible due to tanks being full. It was a 3 hour flight! Not acceptable!"

Plussat: "You’re going for no frills. Competitive pricing maybe but consider baggage situation first. We went transatlantic and paid for a bag using economy light fare to make it work. Only needed one checked bag. Kids even in economy light get a free meal. Cabin is ok."
Miinukset: "Witnessed many customers checking in who thought a bag was included. Entertainment is ok but screens have limited kid activities. Each leg of my flight took off 15-20 min late easily. Overall this wasn’t bad as it was made up in-air. Except one layover was only an hour, And cut it a bit close clearing passport control and traveling with two kids. No time to even see Kaflavik or pick up food or drinks. We ran to the final boarding call after clearing passport control. Also not good was that they don’t offer gate check on strollers. On a departure, you can use your stroller all the way up to the gate, but you get it back with any checked baggage at baggage claim, so you won’t have a stroller for layovers in Keflavík or clearing customs on either end. That was a pain."

Miinukset: "A 2 hour layover turned into a 6 hr layover. Delays were announced 30 minutes at a time. They are flying so many flights thru Reykjavik that there isn't room for all the people. The weather was perfect, but a number of flights were delayed for various reasons. People were lined up everywhere, there isn't enough gate space, people just fill the hallways. The cafeteria ran out of bread for sandwiches given so many people needed to eat during the delays. In the future, I will look to avoid IcelandicAir flights thru Reykjavik despite the attractive price. They haven't scaled the airport to handle the traffic they are bringing in."

Miinukset: "I paid $440 for my ticket and additional $190 for my luggage. With over $600 worth of flight, l can’t even get a small free meal, not even a snack. That is bad. Any flight within United State, they would offer snacks, talkless of flight that is over 6 hrs. I will never fly Icelandair anymore."

Just think it is in human to have people in the air taped that long and force them to pay extra on top of ticket price to have a snack. Very disappointed if i can help it i will not fly with them again. This is the 3 straight year i have so seems like we are being forced to go with them to get a decent flight price."

Miinukset: "This is a low cost airline, so don't expect much. Saga class which is sold as business is nowhere close to business class. The seats are the same as first class on domestic US airlines and recline only a little. The airport in Iceland is horrible, completely congested, expect long lines, no priority lanes, missing your flight and nobody cares. I will not be flying this airline again."

Miinukset: "as above : Arrival in Iceland :Airport is like a cattle pen. Very crowded. The bus to and from aircraft is also uncomfortable and time consuming especially with tight connections. Anyone with disabilities needs to avoid this airport. Seat pitch is a bit tight and window and center seat passengers can have a tough time getting out when seats in front are fully reclined"

Miinukset: "There were complications during checkin that resulted in everyone waiting on line for three hours while the employees tried to figure it out. They couldn't and eventually hand wrote boarding passes. In my opinion - they waited too long to make the decision to do this (over two and 1/2 hours us waiting in line no movement). Because of this, our flight was delayed. We made our connecting flight but our luggage did not. We took Icelander partner Swissair to Amsterdam. We went to the Swissair lost luggage office and spoke with a gentleman who informed us that our luggage was still in Reykjavik and would be flown to Amsterdam the next day (this was Monday at noon). I told him that we were not going to be in Amsterdam, but we're driving that afternoon to Koblenz, and would be staying there until Friday. He assured me that they would fly our luggage to Frankfurt and deliver it to our apartment the next day. I gave him our information, and he gave me a baggage claim with the phone number to check on the status. He told me they would contact me by phone the next day for delivery and that we would have to be present to sign for the luggage. We did not use this as an opportunity to go on a shopping spree. Instead, we bought some essentials (soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, underwear and a shirt) knowing that we had laundry facilities at our disposal. We did not receive our luggage on Tuesday. I called the number given to me Tuesday afternoon (after not hearing from the airline all day) and was told that my luggage had been shipped to Amsterdam....not Frankfurt. I explained again that we were not in Amsterdam and would not be back there until Friday. I was assured that they were putting the baggage on the next flight to Frankfurt via KLM airlines and we would have it the next day. On Wednesday afternoon, I again called the number after not hearing from them all day. I was informed now that our bags made it to Frankfurt airport but would not be delivered until the next day, Thursday. We had been wearing the same clothes since we left NY on Sunday. I asked to speak to the gentleman's manager. I wanted assurances that we would receive our luggage as no one, up to that point, from any airline (Icelandair or Swissair) had followed up with me. I was the one calling each day. He was very hostile and told us his manager was not there and there was no one else we could speak to. There was no other number we could call to discuss our claim. He got defensive and his answer was that the baggage was in KLM's hands and he could not answer for it anymore. Yet I wanted to know why I had not received an update each day, why after three days we did not have our luggage, and why none of them (Icelandair or Swissair) was making this a priority. Remember, our luggage was not lost at any time. They always knew where it was and they always knew where we were going to be. This representative hung up on me ."

Miinukset: "Stood in line at check-in for almost an hour. No free food nor snacks for an international flight. Movie selection is minimal and outdated. Beverage service was also limited."

Miinukset: "The Iceland airport needs to be enlarged quite a bit to accommodate the influx of tourists. It will prevent people from returning. We waited over an hour to check our bags after we had checked in on kiosk. Our flight was 30 minutes late because of the slowdown."

Miinukset: "The boarding makes no sense. If you let people board from 2 ends of your plane, you should at least tell rows 1-20 to go to that door and 21- 35 go to the other. Since that's not done, mayhem ensues. The whole no free food thing is ridiculous but I will either fly a different airline (Lufthansa) or bring my own food. Also the entertainment is what you see on TV in the USA, there are no new movies AND the content is the same east and West bound."

Miinukset: "The check-in was a nightmare. The line was clustered around one entrance point. Although I checked in on line the sign to check bags was obscured by the crowd. There were no employees to facilitate the check-in. Although the price of the flight was attractive I am doubtful that I would book Icelandair again."

Plussat: "The flight I was scheduled to take was delayed; I spoke to the agent and explained that I was travelling due to a medical emergency and really needed to get to my destination ASAP. They re-routed me on another airline, so I was able to get where I needed to be as soon as possible. I really appreciate IcelandAir taking such good care of me, great job! I would happily fly them in future."

Miinukset: "I had booked seats early and they had changed them so that my husband and I were not sitting together."

Miinukset: "All of it except the flight crew. They were from Hungary and very polite and helpful. The rest of my experience was terrible. Will not fly UNAmerican again. Will NEVER fly to or via DFW again."

Plussat: "Crew was very helpful. I volunteered to move so a mother could sit next to her 4 1/2 year old daughter. The flight attendant found me a seat with no other passenger. She also comped by glass of wine."

Miinukset: "Poorly organized boarding at Miami. Agent did NOT speak clearly. Uncomfortable long walk outside uphill ramps and steps to board on the a tarmac. Purser’s PA system only worked occasionally. Most communications relayed from rear. My first class seat in row 3 was broken partially reclined."

Plussat: "Flight was delayed multiple times, which was understandable. However, communication was so poor we nearly missed it when it finally took off. Wed received notice it was cancelled then were told we had to go to a different gate to rebook. We just happened to go back to recheck the gate as the last group was boarding. Very poorly handled. See above."

Miinukset: "On my first flight from SLC to ORD I asked 3 different American Airlines employees if I needed to pay for my carryon before I got on the plane. They all said no. I got on the plane, put my carryon under the seat in front of me and everything was great. I landed in Chicago, got to my gate, went to board and this very rude employee stopped me after I scanned my ticket and told me I couldn’t board with my bag. The EXACT bag I had boarded with in SLC. After harshly grabbing my bag and putting it in the carryon basket to check for size, she wouldn’t let me pass by her into the boarding bridge and told me I was going to have to pay. I tried explaining that I had asked I’m SLC if I needed to check it and they had all said no and that it fit under my seat. She said, “I don’t care what they said in SL, this is what I’m saying here.” And directed me to the front desk where I had to pay $50!! $50 for a carryon backpack that fit under my seat comfortably 20 minutes before!! Without saying a word (cause I didn’t want to yell at the poor girl behind the desk) I paid the $50 and proceeded to enter the bridge but before I passed through, the rude woman said, “have a nice flight ma’am” and scoffed!! An audible scoff. So I’m short, I hate American Airlines and I will do my BEST to not have to fly with them in the future."

I booked this trip back in Jan. and we were supposed to be across the aisle from each other. We ended up in the last row of seats of both flights. We never knew of the changes until we tried to get boarding passes."

Miinukset: "I understand it happens,but after a long day of traveling it is very frustrating when the late night flight is delayed and you then have to sit in the plane on the ground for an extended period. Otherwise it was fine"

Then when passengers complained they served water only and splashed it into cups on the trays instead of pouring it into cups and handing the cups to the passengers. Nasty people."

Miinukset: "My checked bag, which l paid $25.00 for, didn’t make it on the flight to Pittsburgh. It got there on another flight at 7:30 pm Monday night but no one from American Airlines did anything about trying to get it to me until 11:30 pm. As a result, while l stayed at a hotel only 30 miles from the airport, my bag wasn’t delivered until 2:00 am on Tues, more than 8 hours after l got there. And their website for supposedly checking on lost luggage, aa.com/bag status, is next to useless. It gives no useful information. Use the 800 # but state you want to talk with a human when answering the questions in their phone tree. I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."

Plussat: "The free movies were a generous provision. The American Airlines ad was cool. The screen to trace the flight geographically was neat, as were the details about height, temperature, time until landing, and so forth. The service people were nice."

My knees were in the back of the seat in front of me the entire flight (two exit row seats were empty) and there was no way to move that provided comfort. The overhead bins were full before half of the passengers boarded. The crew was polite, but not kind."

Miinukset: "Our plane for this flight made an unexpected stop in Detroit and we were told that they did not know "if the plane would be leaving Detroit or if another plane could be found for us". We honestly thought the flight would end up being cancelled and we would have to find somewhere to stay that night. They ended up finding another plane an hour and a half later and our gate was changed four times during our wait."

Miinukset: "We were delayed 2 times, got on the plane, everything seemed fine and then maintenance crews were on the plane, the door was left open so it was freezing on the plane. Then we were told at 12:30am that it was cancelled. We had to go back through customs, pick up our luggage and find an agent who gave us a voucher for a hotel room. Never made it to the hotel until 1:30am, had to get up at 5:30am, go back to the airport, check our baggage, go through security and customs which the lines were extremely long and get on a 9:30am flight. Horrible!!!!!"

Miinukset: "This was probably the worst handled flight I have been on; there was first a slight delay, then a longer delay, then a much longer delay, all of which one could find out only after checking online; there were no announcements about the delay until after the scheduled time of departure; then there was another announcement that there was a mechanical problem and we'll be apprised of the situation at 7pm (the flight was scheduled at 6:25). The person at the counter disappeared. At 7:30, the gate changed to a different flight altogether--still no announcement, still no person at the gate. When a different person finally appeared and I asked her what happened to the Pittsburgh flight, she said, it's here, it'll be departing at this precise gate shortly. At that exact time, the PA system had an announcement that the flight to Pittsburgh is now scheduled at gate 86 at 7.01 (yes, 7:01, even though it was already after 7:30). When we went to gate 86, there, of course, was another flight there. After waiting some more, the woman at the first counter now appeared at gate 86 and said the flight was to be at gate 88. Until the very end when we boarded, gate 88 continued to say the flight was to Columbus. Absolutely abysmal customer service. (Even the boarding was handled badly, but at that time we didn't even care.) I am never recommending Air Canada."

Plussat: "Friendly staff, happy to help"
Miinukset: "Terrible food, plane was overbooked, they only offer 'in-ear' headphones, they have squeezed maximum seats into this plane to increase their profit. Would absolutely NEVER fly Air Canada long haul economy or premium economy again."

Plussat: "In flight service was overall very good."
Miinukset: "Service counter at check in Vancouver was terrible and unprofessional. Poor to very poor. Flight delayed with no announcement until you ready to board then they inform you your flight has been delayed but wouldn’t give reasons. Twice. Both connections."

Plussat: "Size of seats and entertainment"
Miinukset: "Late leaving, slow baggage claim"

Plussat: "Actually, everything was perfect."
Miinukset: "I don't have any complaints at all. Except a ticket agent who tried 2 give me hard time, fortunately I handled the issue. After all, everything was well done."

Plussat: "NOTHING"
Miinukset: "The Air Canada counter officer do not help me at all. She only told me to call Air Canada which I can not since the Shanghai office is close and the US number did not work. I ended up bought a new ticket with AA."

Miinukset: "No one told us the only inflight entertainment option was streaming via their app, until we were seated on the aircraft with no access to wifi."

Plussat: "Lots of movies and tv shows to pick from. Didn't need to bring snacks. Served food several times."

Miinukset: "For an overnight flight I would have expected the lights to be turned off, or at least dimmed. My plan to sleep and enjoy my day of return did not go ask planned."

Plussat: "I was able to fall asleep, because I was dead tired. It was like every other flight on a tiny plane; no better, no worse."
Miinukset: "The flight was delayed, and the Toronto Airport terminal for Pittsburgh was awful."

Plussat: "The flight attendant was excellent!"

Miinukset: "Delayed 2 hours and the flight was very noisy and the plane was badly maintained"

Plussat: "The price was good and connections were well-timed, and my seat-mate was a nice guy!"
Miinukset: "There was no food on a 5-hr international flight, the video screen didn't work well, and the flight attendant was having a rough day. And we took off at least 30 minutes late due to a couple of technical issues."

Miinukset: "If you're about to serve continental breakfast it doesn't mean that one little sweet pastry is doing that. Not good!"

Miinukset: "Flights got delayed both going away and coming home. They almost lost baggage and I was going on a cruise the following day. Workers didn't seem to care that I was going to miss my connection. Kinda made it the connecting city's problem."

Plussat: "The crew was friendly and helpful. The plane had open seats which allowed for greater comfort."
Miinukset: "None of the audio jacks were functional with my headphones. Only purchasable headphones worked (tried several seats and asked other passengers - they had problems too)."

Plussat: "Friendly attendants made up for the defective entertainment system."

Miinukset: "back of seat/head rest uncomfortable, average food in very small quantities films not refreshed fast enough, same in and out flights"

Miinukset: "Finding gate was a problem. Air Canada personnel gave me bad info on Gare and would not give me a ride. Going outside and up steps to board is unsafe for people with balance issues. Would have to be a great deal to get me on air Canada again"

Plussat: "Friendly and helpful flight attendants"

Miinukset: "I was not impressed with how long it took to get through customs, waiting in a room for nearly an hour before being cleared to go through to the connecting gate. Then the delay of the flight was very disappointing."

Plussat: "Smooth flight."
Miinukset: "Non-working lavatories (?). It shouldn't happen."

Miinukset: "Overbooked and was removed from flight without notice. Was flown to Newark, NJ instead. The next plane was broken and had to disembark. Got home 8 hours late, after 2am, and had to pay for transportation from airport because prearranged transportation was no longer available. Plane was dirty and staff was rude."

Miinukset: "Nothing it was fine"

Plussat: "The crew was great, the flight was fast, the plane was very comfortable. Other than the time delay, the flight was great."
Miinukset: "Flight was again delayed (over 1.5 hours)."

Plussat: "Once we got in the air, the flight was a short 35 minutes and fine."

Plussat: "Very easy flight, attendants were helpful and nice. No delays!"

Miinukset: "Got home very late due to delays."

Miinukset: "Stuffed like hot sardines in the boarding area. Canadian customs take a long time for transit people"

Plussat: "Flight delay lost luggage"

Miinukset: "The food was horrible"

Miinukset: "the drip drip long delay. could have stayed in the main terminal If the delay was announced immediately."

Miinukset: "The final leg of our travel boarded over 2 hours late. No compensation given for that. Two planes were declared not fly worthy-low confidence. While not Air Canada's responsibility, Toronto's Pearson Airport was awful. We went through many airports on our travels and this stood out as the worst. Constant security checks that seemed unnecessary. Poor line management. Not enough security/immigration kiosks. Very expensive food. During our 2+hour delay for boarding, we observed constant gate changes for other flights. Flight organization seems poor."

Miinukset: "The crew had bad attitude and ignorant. Landind in Toronto on the way back was so scary!!"

Plussat: "Nothing"
Miinukset: "The ground female ground attendant was horrible.I am disabled and the escort girl lied to me about the bags arriving.I had to go back through US IMIGRATION AND CANADA IMMIGRATION that is when the lady told me that she told my escort that my bags did not arrive.it was the worst flight experience ever"

Plussat: "staff polite"
Miinukset: "Flight attendant speech over intercom unintelligible. She held the mic too close and spoke much too fast."

Plussat: "friendly staff, not a full flight which was nice to stretch out"
Miinukset: "the food was not great, would have been nice for TV to have hockey championships game available to watch- another airline had this option on a flight during a Steeler game and it was nice."

Plussat: "3 1/2 hours late cramped stuffy with a very strong chemical disinfectant odor that was gagging passengers . Cabin was too hot and poorly ventilated. Only flight landing in Pittsburgh late Tuesday night and we were still forced to walk him from the very end of the concourse . Once we got to the landside terminal we had to walk past all the unused baggage claim area to the very end carousel. Pittsburgh airport management should be ashamed of themselves . No wonder there tax finance Taj Mahal is a ghost town !"

Miinukset: "Toronto staff was not helpful in aiding us at the gate. We had to wait u tip anther staff member showed up. We boarded and then sat on the plane for 30 minutes while waiting for crew to bring luggage. The entire Toronto experience of customs was unpleasant and chaotic. We will try to avoid flying through Toronto again on an international flight."
