On the other hand, having a pleasant and respectful flight crew can make a tremendous difference in the passengers experience. We were lucky enough to have a flight attendant named Gulhan Who smiled the entire flight. She was professional, courteous, and service oriented. Most of the flight crew showed similar professionalism. Turkish Airlines had for better service then any of the American or European airlines I have encountered during the last 10 years."

I have never in my life received such a poor service. I was lied/misled/attacked by Turkish airline employees in the gate and in the transfer desk. I would never recommend taking Turkish airlines to anyone"

Once to transfer to another gate which is fine and then right at the gate I had to go through security which was really weird. It made the flight delay thank god because I thought the plane would leave because the line was long and super slow"
Plussat: "The seats seemed further apart, thus more leg room for my long legs. I was lucky to have all 3 seats so I could lie down and get some much needed sleep. New seats seem flatter and more comfortable to lie upon if one is lucky. Crew very personable and helpful"
Miinukset: "I had FOUR TKA flights in my travels to and from Madagascar last month. Nearly EVERY seat I tried did NOT recline, nor could crew fix any! Most unpleasant to sit for 13 hrs. behind large man whose seat did reclione and mine could not. 2 yrs. ago I flew to Niger on TKA and I found the food better back then. Please keep the delicious Turkish food I fear a down grading for economical reasons. Don't do it."

Miinukset: "Thw only aspect I didn't like was the fact that our flight from Istanbul to Hong Kong was delayed and that is not a big problem,flights gets delayed all the time. But the attitude we got from the ground staff in the airport was a big problem. We got to the customer service counter to get further information about the flight and nobody was giving us any information.Not even an apology for the fact that we waited for 3 hours in an airport at 2 AM. Everybody seemed so bored,that they barely spoke 3 words.They offered us a voucher at Burger King, but we couldn't order anything from the menu,but the simplest burger. We just expected a bit more from an airline that has somebody dressed as a chef on-board while serving the in-flight meals."

Miinukset: "On my flight from Istambul to NYC I was told I had been given an aisle seat but in fact I got the middle of the middle. If there were no aisle seats left, it would have been better if the person had just told me that, rather than saying I had an aisle seat, and I found out later. It was very distressing because I have diverticulitis, which is a serious stomach complaint, which means I need to be able to get to the loo! I felt that they could have been more understanding about this."

Miinukset: "Kept us in line to board for 30 minutes. then announced a delay. No service due to short bumpy flight. Probably nobody's fault but..."
Miinukset: "Flight was cancelled, we wanted to get on the Skopje flight instead, but were told it's left already. We knew it didn't. After some back and forth we were put on the Skopje flight and arranged our own transportation to Prishtina. We learned later that the evening flight to Prishtina, which we were supposed to be put on originally, was also cancelled. If we didn't insist, we would have had to spend at least 24 hours stuck in Istanbul airport. If you've ever flown through there, you know it's one of the worst airports ever."

Plussat: "At Lisboa airport, I was checked in by Antonio. Most helpful checkin guy I've ever spoken to in my years of traveling. The food is always impressive (for airline food) and they give you a lot to drink. The last time I flew, there was an Autistic passenger throwing a fit and no one seemed to do anything. This time, a person was really upset with his companion on the flight and began screaming. The attendants helped calm him down and fixed the situation quickly. I guess last time they must've just let it happen because of the disability so there's not much they can do in that situation."
Miinukset: "Not a big ran of the Turkish Airport. Everything is pretty cheap for an airport though if you bring Turkish Lira. They tend to round the price up a bit if you pay in USD or Euro."
Miinukset: "No food or drink was served nor was there a clear explanation given by the crew. Attendants were brusque but efficient. Overall I felt a bit like I was inconveniencing the airline by taking their flight."

Finally had to run from the after the multiple security and passport checks, for about 15 minutes and we were the last to board, before they took off. Huge risk of missing the flight altogether."
Plussat: "I liked almost everything. And according to me, it does not make a difference if we rate things good or excellent at a certain point in time. As long as it is good, it can be excellent. I mean including crew. People have good days and bad days. I am sure the crew can say the same about passengers."
Miinukset: "What could have been better is: - the email that the airline generates and senda to people a couple of days prior to flight directs you to a site where you are supposed to fill in the blanks. About Covid. The thing is that you cannot submit it unless you as a passenger fill out an Austrian address. The electronic form does not have the option to rule out staying in Austria and indicating that you are transiting in Vienna. I had to fill that form out (at the Address in Austria section) with sentences like “not applicable” “transitting” and also had to google the Vienna Airport address for the zip code so it could be submitted. The form forced me to fool the it. Not cool. Frustrating."

When we arrived at the Sarajevo airport, our luggage and the luggage of many passengers did not arrive! We waited in a line for 1.5 hours to put in a claim for our suitcases. It was not a good experience."

Miinukset: "I felt like the airlines deliberately cheated me. I purchased a flight that was listed as "economy" , which means I am authorized one suitcase. When I got to checkout they said I had pay for the suitcase. Turns out my flight was economy 'light' flight and I had to go the Austrian airlines desk and pay euro 40 for my suitcase. Wish that would have been clear when I purchased the ticket. Also there is no clear info on what the cost is for your bag at what point in the check-in process."

Miinukset: "Although AU blamed late arrival of the plane from Russia, fact is that the plane was at least one hour at the dock before boarding and the AU team was just extremely slow to get boarding done. We were all invited 45 minutes before boarding to board, when apologies were already offered for the slight delay, which turned into 1.5 hour overall. Worst is the lack of communication during the 45 minute wait, for which I have little understanding seeing many older people clearly suffering."

I was sent to three different terminals (which required two different bus transfers) to get to my United flight to the states. I had been warned by a friend that the Paris airport is the worst. (this will go in the 'didn't like' section as well. Bed was comfortable and comfy blanket and pillow"
Miinukset: "Crew was not friendly at all. Amenities kit was burlap sac with nothing worth keeping or using -- even the eye covers. Business class bathrooms had nothing to offer in the areas of hand/face creams. All there was were hand wipes and air freshener. (OMG! SERIOUSLY!?); a big difference from their partners (i.e. Swiss and Lufthansa). Crew was not present -- not only were they very unfriendly they were no where to be found. TV/video didn't work properly -- kept fast forwarding or changing channels on its own. The crew of course, was not concerned."

Miinukset: "As I was flying from London Heathrow back to Vienna, I had a carry-on that was allowed on my flight with Austrian from Vienna to London. My carry-on weighed 8 kg, like is required by the rules. While boarding my flight, the woman at the counter told me my bag had to be checked because there were too many carry-ons on the flight. I asked her that I keep my bag because I had medication in there, and she didn't listen to me at all. She just kept repeating that i have to check my bag, and then took my bag from me and gave it to the baggage crew there. I didn't want to make a huge scene because the flight is only 2 hours and I hoped i Could deal without my medication during that time, but I found it incredibly, incredibly rude and awful to not listen to a passenger."

Very unprofessional and misleading information to passengers."

Miinukset: "Overcharged on luggage because I had 10.5 kg of carryon luggage instead of 10kg. The flight was virtually empty and so much space and still can’t understand why I had to pay usd 130 for 0.5kg over the 10kg. Felt exploited and cheated"

Miinukset: "I have never been on an international flight where they made you pay for food and water. They, in fact, won't stop the beverage cart for you unless you've paid for a meal package. When I booked my flight there was no option to opt in nor out of any meal package. I called the airlines 48 hours in advance, and they told me that, in order to pay for a meal package I would have to have called at least 72 hours in advance. Also the flight had no vegetarian hot meal options, which sucked for me. I was appalled that you had to pay for, even, water!!!!"

Couldn't talk to customer service until Monday when they opened. Bad customer satisfaction;("

Miinukset: "Flight was about 20-30 minutes late in departing and there were absolutely no announcements and no-one at the boarding counter to keep customers informed. People were left standing in a a crowded room which was too small for all the passengers while no announcement was made. Even when they finally boarded, there was no recognition of the flight being late and no apology. One we were on board, the cabin crew then made a rather abrupt and rude announcement telling the passengers to board quickly otherwise we would lose our slot time and be delayed by a further one hour. Fortunately that additional delay did not happen. However, I did not appreciate the passengers being berated for "slow" boarding when the flight was boarded 20-30 minutes late."

The physical situation at Barbados' Grantley Adams International airport is completely inadequate as it relates to the convenience of access for intransit passengers. Passengers are in a queue in the open (hardly any area to empty pockets, etc) to go through security before entering the in-transit area to make the connection. It is EXTREMELY inconvenient, but may be due to lack of planning of resources for passenger flows. Doing an intransit connection on LIAT is not convenient, is somewhat of a challenge."

If you have to check baggage and there are any concerns. This your problem, not theirs. If you want to confirm your flight details. This your problem, not theirs. If you are having a good day or bad day, do not expect sympathy or any sense of human emotion from their team. Follow these steps and you will be fine."

She turned her face and walked away in the middle of one of my sentences to go check why there was a dog at the end of the line! She also told me to move out of the way, but didn't instruct us where to go after she scanned our boarding passes and the door to the plane was closed. I had an 8 hour layover in SXM and I know my bags made it there from JFK, but on landing to SKB my bags were no where to be found. LIAT apparently can't track where they put bags, so I'm currently going on day two of my arrival to St. Kitts without my suitcases."
Miinukset: "Waited inside the airplane at times without proper AC. It was a very humid and hot afternoon, not enjoyable. Will not recommend this airline."
Miinukset: "The flight got delayed, baggage was lost, customer service at St. Kitts airport was awful. They had an attitude and tone for every time I called to check if they had found my bag or asked how could I track it. I also waited over an hour and a half on the Liat counter line at Puerto Rico. Experience was awful and if they had more competitors to fly to St. Kitts I will never use their services anymore."
Miinukset: "Because this airline monopolizes this specific region of the Caribbean, they find it acceptable to continuously have flights that are almost NEVER on time for take off causing passengers to miss connecting flights. The agents need a course in customer service because some of them ESPECIALLY at the Barbados airport are very rude. I cannot wait for the new airport to open so there can be OTHER options besides Liat, SHAME ON LIAT AIRLINES!!!"

The flight information was not included on the display at the airport. When boarding began, there was no announcement - everyone just saw the plane and started boarding."
