Miinukset: "Had a connecting flight, both were with Lufthansa. There was an hour between the two flights. We went straight to security and immediately to the boarding gate but they had closed the gate and would not let us board, even though there was 15 minutes before the flight was due to leave. We were refused a refund and had to move flights to another airport 2 hours away and then had a 5 hour delay. We lost our car reservation as we would arrive too late to collect, we also couldn't check in to our hotel as planned as the hotel only allow check in until 11pm; we would have got there at 1am, so then had to book another hotel for the night. Airport staff at Lufthansa told us they could not help and told us to go away!"

Food was also very mediocre (beef with chocolate sauce???) and many people in my flight were forced to check regulation carry ons for exorbitant fees. I would expect this kind of thing from a budget airline like Ryanair or something, but thought SAS could do better."

But that definitely left a lot of people dissatisfied with an overnight flight in which we are hoping to rest before arriving in Copenhagen. Seats are getting smaller and smaller. Spaces are very tight but that seems to be the norm with all airlines"

Plussat: "The 7 hr trip to Copenhagen was rough. The seats are too close together. My knees hit the seat in front of me even without reclining. When the seat in front of me reclined the tv screen was 6” away from my face. It was next to impossible to get out of the seat."

Plussat: "Boarding was quick and easy. Decent amount of overhead space. The pilot was friendly. USB ports for charging phones at the seat. Free bottle of water at your seat."
Miinukset: "No overhead fan. When flight got really hot, no way to moderate temperature. No choice of food at all, unless you are in economy plus. I don't remember the last time that a trans-Atlantic flight had at least a meant, or fish, or vegetarian dish. Usually, at least two or three dishes. On SAS, everything has to be ordered ahead of time. Some of the flight attendants were friendly, some not so friendly. No free alcoholic drinks even with dinner. Limited regular drinks - they are only served with food, aside from that you have to purchase even the non-alcoholic drinks. The food just wasn't very good, even compared to other airline food. Compared to other companies, relatively small selection of entertainment. I had considerably more choice on a domestic flight than on a 9 hr. international SAS flight. Storage pockets at the seat are pretty small."

Plussat: "I liked the high-tech adjustment on the seats but i am 6ft2, 200 lbs (in good shape) and I have Parkinson's disease. The seat was just not roomy enough and I had to get up at least once an hour."
Miinukset: "The crew was very understanding and kind. The aft head was very limited in space too. A little more room would have been most welcome."

Had to wait in line to wait to get in line to finally board the plane The food was two rolls ups three hours apart"
Plussat: "They gave us blankets and pillows. Each seat had its own entertainment system but it only worked with the earbuds given out by the crew and the controls were cumbersome to use."
Miinukset: "The plane was hot and stuffy the entire trip. There are no longer individual controls for air. It was so uncomfortable and we were hot a sweaty the whole flight. The crew said that there was nothing they could do about it."
Plussat: "Smoothest landing I've ever experienced."
Miinukset: "I missed the refreshments, if any were served at all. Granted I was tired and probably dosed off during that part of the flight."

Miinukset: "We arrived early to airport and we could not check in till 1hr before flight with the rest of the 200plus passengers. So waited in line with heavy bags just unnesccessary! Then get thru security and nowhere to sit for flight. But have shopping!!! Omg who needs to shop we want to sit and get food!!!! Not stand and fight to get food because your airline gives no snacks or drinks!! It's like entering prison for 2hrs"
Plussat: "Outside camera view, update on airplane location and ETA, seats were nice."
Miinukset: "Hate to sound entitled, but the movie selection was really poor. I flew on a connecting flight by Delta that had 10k+ movies and shows to choose from so that spoiled me."
Plussat: "There was nothing positive in this experience. Oh, the flight was safe and no one was injured?"
Miinukset: "Charged for checked bag on international flight. Late departure. Only food was a small cup of water on a 3+ hour, lunch time flight -- not even a bag of pretzels. Late arrival with short connection and flight attendant directed us to wrong gate. When we reached final destination, only one of two checked bags showed up."
Plussat: "The flight was comfortable and the onboard crew were very nice."
Miinukset: "Since the flight was delayed taking off, the layover in Stockholm was very short. The airline did nothing to rush those of us through or contact our connecting SAS flights, and a few of us missed our connections by just a few minutes because of it. SAS did provide alternate tickets for me, but I arrived at my destination several hours late and the whole situation could have been avoided pretty easily."
Plussat: "Because of bad weather at the Faroe Islands, the aircraft made a missed approach (go-around) on the first attempt to land. The weather had improved sufficiently to make it in on the second attempt. The pilot and the cabin crew were excellent in keeping everyone informed, and telling us the status of the weather and the likelihood of getting in. The pilot was outstanding in his communication with the passengers and the cabin crew were great in re-assuring passengers after the missed approach. The flight crew handled the difficult weather conditions very well."
Plussat: "Good leg room. Tasty meals. A good variety of entertainment options."
Miinukset: "This flight never happened"
Miinukset: "We couldn't check in online because we had an infant in arms. So we tried to check in there. There were 3 different terrible queues. One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."

Plussat: "SAS agent in Oslo was very nice and quickly rebooked our flight to Bergen when we missed our scheduled one due to luggage delays and confusion at Oslo as to Customs procedure."
Plussat: "Very friendly crew and staff of the center transfer."
Miinukset: "Planting was detained for an hour and I arrived late on a transfere. I forced to spend the night at the hotel and my patients were left without the surgeon on Monday. At the front desk I was not warned that the flight is delayed and I missed the opportunity to buy another ticket. When I asked before boarding the plane, I have time to transplant, I was told that all be good. But it was lie. I will try use another company."
Miinukset: "I asked for a second glass of water and the flight attendant told me I had to buy a bottle. Also, the flight departed one hour late."
Plussat: "The crew was friendly."
Miinukset: "The crew forgot to start serving the final meal until 40 minutes before we landed which resulted in them nearly throwing food at people so that they could quickly get through the plane and sit again before descent. I was not able to choose my seat and was seated in the back of the plane. Consequently this meant that every parent on the plane with two-year-olds decided that the best place to let them stretch their little legs was back by me. I work with small children so I understand that when they reach that age all they want to do is kick and punch, but I didn't want to end my vacation by having half a dozen two-year-olds punch my leg or try to crawl under my chair as they wandered nearby. I still have bruises."

Miinukset: "It is very difficult to get around CDG airport with a disabled person. There is no shuttle. By the time we got to check in, we were ten minutes late. They would not check us in, and we paid over $700 to change tickets to the next flight. When I complained, I was told to stop being rude or I would get no ticket at all. My mother is 94 years old and we did the best we could given the circumstance."

Miinukset: "It was one problem after another during check in. And it was difficult to find help in English so I couldn't really tell what was going on. In the end I was tucking to get checked in because they were insisting I use a kiosk but I was telling them that the kiosk said to see an attendee. It was not efficient and I felt like a burden asking for help when there was nothing else I could do on my own."
Miinukset: "Business Passngers have to wait in the same bus to board the flight what is the point then...."
Plussat: "Service was much better than on the flight from MIA to CDG 3 weeks before - that was very poor. Entertainment was excellent - great selection of movies. Premium Economy was definitely worth the upgrade cost."
Miinukset: "Boarding was a complete debacle - no control over who went where. Sky Priority line was full of 50 people who weren't Sky Priority, and there was only one person checking passports. The two people at the desk didn't care when I noted this. We were called to the desk in advance of boarding to check passport information. When we got to the check in line, we were taken aside for more passport checking, even though we are US citizens with Trusted Traveler status in the GOES program. We were one of the first people at the departure lounge, and one of the the last to board."
Plussat: "Nice Flight Attendants Good Food"
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed by 1.5 hours"
Plussat: "Efficient check-in."
Miinukset: "It was raining in Prague so I can understand that luggage is going to get wet. But when we opened our luggage at least half of our clothes were wet. It would seem that the luggage sat out for quite a while prior to departure for that much soaking of clothes. Fortunately we are staying in Paris for a few days and can get our clothes dried out."
Plussat: "Other crew members were very polite to us, in particular a younger tall woman."
Miinukset: "2 crew members, one named Terri were quite rude and short with us. I even heard her say she was ready to get off the flight. She also asked everyone around me if they liked their flight but did not ask me. She basically threw my coffee condiments at me and dismissed my concerns about the food. I was unsure if the fruit was expired and she quickly dismissed my question without any real explanation."
Plussat: "Spacing was ok"
Miinukset: "Scents. Perfumes. Products that have scents that irritate airways. Not good for asthma and allergies."
Plussat: "There were 4 of us flying from Atlanta, there was a great amount of leg room, tvs were nice, remote control for the tv fit into the seat, the way the plane was laid out, the 4 of us sat in a middle row, which meant no window seat (which my sister was disappointed), dinner options were great, wine was complementary"
Miinukset: "My only problem was that there wasn't any air flow and until someone told them how hot they think it is, it was a very sweaty situation. I couldn't sleep because of how hot it was and I didn't think to tell the crew because I didn't know they would care."
Miinukset: "My entertainment system did not work for the whole 8 hours. Seats were uncomfortable. The lights above the seats broken."
Plussat: "Air France is the worst company I have ever flown with. They changed our seats last minute. They where late both flights. Not worth the stress if your layovers are short. Also they took my passport with no explanation of why into another room with out my permission."
Plussat: "Pleasant staff."
Miinukset: "I sat next to an overweight lady and was incredibly uncomfortable my entire flight. There needs to be better regulation for overweight passengers to ensure that every passenger has enough room"
Miinukset: "Flight keft 35 min kate and boarfing was very slow and disorganized"
Plussat: "It was just a flight. Nothing to rave about. Just a typical up and over flight. The flight left Athens over an hour late and got to Brussels almost 90mins late."
Miinukset: "We weren't offered complimentary beverage service. They did a beverage service for paid drinks and that took well over an hour. We were only given a simple single piece of chocolate while waiting to take off"
Plussat: "Pretty much nothing"
Miinukset: "A sealed blanket and a better customer service"
Plussat: "One of the crew member who served our food seemed in a rush and just dropped our food on our trays :( There was a lack of communication at the counter for travelers like us who was making this connecting flight. We were there four two hours and nobody bother to tell us we needed to check-in again."
Miinukset: "Better communication for people making a connection. Not to wait until you are showing your boarding pass and then telling us we needed to check-in again,"
Miinukset: "Whole flight was so cold like in refrigerator."
Miinukset: "Nothing is for free not even a coffee."
Plussat: "Attentive helpful and cheerful staff: on time"
Plussat: "So so"
Miinukset: "But connecting flight is just 30 minutes delayed schedule because of airline benefits. I have to run the gate and I can make it but I heard 2 passengers didn't. I didn't hear this situation. When I ask staffs how about connecting flight to Nice, staffs just told me your flight is ok."
Plussat: "As if our flight from Washington to Brussels was not delayed enough, the flight segment to Accra from Brussels was delayed for almost 2 hours"
Miinukset: "Almost everything about the trip was impacted one way or the other. Our luggage/bags were partially damaged too, but I decided not to lodge an official complaint."
Miinukset: "Very disappointing, Lufthansa airline sold my return ticket to another customers with out notifying me, so i’m stuck in here now and i have to find another ticket. And of course the flight is not refundable."
Miinukset: "Switched plane from Brussels to United which saves us 3hrs but then they lost our luggage. This was after we asked them to double-check. They told us that our luggage had been logged-in to our new flight. We are very disappointed in Brussel airline and will not use them again."
Plussat: "Food was good. That is pretty much it. Well, Brussels airport shopping and food was good too."
Miinukset: "I travel a lot, and I've used many airlines before. This was my first and last time I use Brussels airlines. The cabin crew is not friendly. The entertainment was poor. The checking process was horrible (the airport is not properly designed, managed, poor information systems) I will gladly go through the mad house in Heathrow, or long walks at Schiphol, but not interested in Brussels."

Plussat: "Brussels Air was on time, attendants were courteous, plane was clean and in great condition. For a discount flight, it was great!"
Miinukset: "Flight crew would gossip in Flemish Food not good and I vegetarian dinner option provided at all!"

Plussat: "The flight was pleasant and the crew was friendly and professional. I pre-ordered a special meal, which came with no problems."
Miinukset: "The boarding process was so disorganized. They called us for boarding but crammed all of us into a waiting area before the boarding door was open. We were all standing in tight conditions for 50 minutes before we were let through and ended up taking off late. They later made an announcement on the plane that this was due to a problem with the airline's cleaning crew."
Plussat: "The plan arrived earlier than it was scheduled,everything wss smooth."
Miinukset: "1,5 hour delay flight from Brussels to Venice and no service with hot tea or coffee for appologize :("
Plussat: "Punctual, clean plane, friendly service"
Miinukset: "Everything was as expected. Full flight!"
Miinukset: "We had to wait 1 hour inside the airplane because there was fog in Lisbon. Flight took 2.5 hours and the Fog cleared long before we landed so there was no need to wait 1 hour in the airplane where we had NO leg space at all. As compensation they could at leased given us coffee for free and not have to buy for a bloody expensive high price."
Plussat: "Ok easy flight. Crew were great, really friendly:)"

Plussat: "They tried and succeeded in making flying as enjoyable and comfortable as it can be these days in economy class. Plenty of legroom. I would absolutely fly with them again."
Miinukset: "Really, really bad food. Also, the selection of movies could have been better. Most of the foreign films did not have English subtitles."
Miinukset: "To small of a choice to choose from. More options and also newer movies would have been better. Also the toilet flooded about an hour or so left in the flight and the cabin smelled pretty bad."
Plussat: "Every person was friendly."

Miinukset: "Super late due to poor management of runway construction in Brussels No entertainment in the cabin"
Plussat: "I was able to get home the next day rerouted with Lufthansa and they did provide a hotel and gave us a 15$ voucher."
Miinukset: "Missed an important day of work. Sat in the airport for 5 hours with little to no comunication from staff. They would constantly tell us they will make an announcement in 5 minutes but never had. JFK Terminal 1 is very unconfortable so that made the stay worse. The problem I had was with the fact that they could not tell us straight we are not going to fly."
Miinukset: "charging for water on flight"
Miinukset: "i went to the (galley?) at the back and politely requested a drink, a member of staff refused me because they were just about to begin serving drinks. that's stupid. i was sat right at the back of the plane and wouldn't get a drink for at least 20 minutes because service starts in the middle and works back. fortunately another member of staff (older, female) just reached over and handed me a drink, because she understood it was easier and quicker and more reasonable to do that than to be a dick about it."
Plussat: "The food and drinks were good."
Miinukset: "The flight left 50 minutes after it was scheduled to leave. We were sitting on the hot aircraft the entire time because the crew would not turn on the air. In addition, the host and his service was terrible. When I asked him for water, he told me that I could find it at the back of the flight and I should go get it myself. The other hostess on the other side was handing out waters to whoever needed it. When a passenger sitting next to me asked for a spoon to eat his meal, the host shrugged his shoulders and didn't come back with one. He was blatantly rude and ignored his passenger. We were also not given blankets on an 7-8 hour flight. It was only on request. People who had requested one were then asked to fold and return their blankets (they were not asked kindly) before landing. The selection of tv, music, and shows on board were terrible as well. Barely any selection. Needless to say, this was the worst service I have ever had on an airline."
Miinukset: "The plane was changed and I was given a new seat on the last row without a window. When I complained I was told to move to a middle seat somewhere. In terms of service SN is like a low cost carrier. None."
Miinukset: "check in timing"
Miinukset: "The flight was similar to a low-cost airline but I was not informed of this when booking. Uncomfortable seats with very little legroom, and food was only available by purchase. Not worth paying the cost of a regular flight for a 5 hour flight!"
Miinukset: "This is a low cost airline. No food, no entertainment, At least the crew was polite."
Plussat: "Nice to get a snack on such a short flight. I enjoy travelling on the small E145. Small plane means fast boarding and deboarding. Also it's great to have a seat to oneself - both window and aisle!"
Plussat: "Great l! The food was good, landing was smooth and seats comfortable. Entertainment options were ok but could be better. Overall I enjoyed my experience and would love to fly with Brussels airlines again."

Plussat: "Nice plane, seats, staff. I was told the regular economy seats did not recline. they do. I was able to upgrade on on leg to economy privlige and then it was much more roomy. The food was good for me : )"
Miinukset: "* No information was provided to the passengers about an additional delay of the flight after the original 5 hour delay. * No compensation was offered for the inconvenience of a delayed baggage by 2 days. * My family is definitely not going to fly with Brussels Airlines after the experience we had."
Plussat: "In-flight staff are professional and try to get on with things even in tricky situations."
Miinukset: "Inbound connection from Tokyo was late (1 hour) but this flight BRU-MAN was also 1 hour late, so got to the gate easily in time for boarding only to find my seat and boarding pass had been cancelled! Poor management of the situation - they don't check whether the connection is *actually* OK, just use the timetable. Poor real-time handling of the situation. This flight is sometimes subcontracted out to WDL who fly various other flights for SN throughout the day, and so any delay elsewhere in Europe can delay this flight. Baggage priority ignored for Star Gold. Missed train connection on arrival in UK. Due to the above problems. In-flight staff OK but ground crew seem disorganised."
Miinukset: "I bought my flight 2 months before, and at the gate I was told I'm on stand by, after the check in agent already took my bag, and without any explanation. No one could tell me WHY I was all of a suddent on standby. The answer I got was "I don't know, that's just how it is in the system". Completely unacceptable and against airline policy. I will be filing an official complaint with Brussels Airlines."
