Disorganized and lacking courtesy in Nairobi JKIA. Business travelers counter not displayed. We paid about $5000 for return tickets because they rudely locked us out saying “you are late.” They had sent us for a new 24 hour COVID test having rejected the 72 hour we had. We did not understand their logic because passengers were still in line. We were in line from 4pm, the flight was after midnight. At PHL, being American citizens, we were not required to present a 24 hour C test! We feel robbed!

Miinukset: "The legroom was a problem. Seats are kind of narrow, and then, with the lack of legroom it’s somewhat challenging to shift your legs, especially when the seat in front of you goes back! I felt like the person was almost in my lap. My cup even got crunched. I think my biggest issue, though, lay in how I was treated after paying $127.00 to obtain a day pass for the lounge each way. For my inbound flight my purse was branded with an “economy” class luggage type tag, and I was made to feel as though I was trying to sneak in. I had to show my boarding pass a number of times to employees after asking for the location of the lounge in order to be directed there, and then my credentials were examined as though I was trying to get into Fort Knox. Upon arrival at the desk, I was somewhat tersely informed that I had 6 hours. I went out of my way a bit in order to fly Qatar, which is supposed to be so wonderful, and I was underwhelmed. I’ve had better experiences on Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines."

The Cathay flight, though it was more than twice as long on the air, was much more pleasant."

There was a kid screaming and talking very loud behind me, while everyone was sleeping. I was unable to sleep on the flight, even with ear plugs. The kid sitting next to me was getting Play-doh everywhere, on me, the floor and all over the seats. He was also kicking the seat in front of him and his mother would not correct him. It would be helpful for the crew to say something to the parents, as some parents do not believe in discipline. The vegan food was very good on the flight to Hong Kong, but on the flight to Chicago it was bland. I was still very hungry after eating + did not get protein in the first meal. With the seat in front of me reclined all the way back, my knees were touching the back of the seat, my legs were swollen and in a lot of pain after the flight."

Miinukset: "Four travelers were seated in 4 different areas on flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco flight. Three of us of us were senior citizens. Two had disabilities and were.not accommodated in any way by Cathay Pacific (CP) while loading in the four areas of the plane. Those of us that we're physically able could not help those with mobility issues because of the proximity of the seating, I could not pre-check or request different seats on the CP website. I think that this was because of issues with the website, apparently due to IT system communication between American Airlines and Cathay Pacific.......on all six flights. On the transfer in San Francisco, Customs was closed when we arrived in San Francisco and we had to haul all of our baggage from one terminal to the other. There was no direction on how to handle this issue of Customs being closed while on the flight to San Francisco. I had to explain the issue of to the CP customer service crew in SF. The CP desk and they had never heard of it. American Airlines was equally poorly trained. I will also say that while at the CP customer service, there were three young adult males that we're not busy at the time and the watched us unload the baggage carts onto the scales and conveyor and then reloaded on to the carts to push to the AA terminal. We handled the bags two additional times because the CP staff did not know what to do and how to handle it. Other passengers were confused as well. I traveled internationally to Asia three times now on CP and the first two were excellent. In the past had had flown other carriers on out trips to asia. This experience on this flight was beyond bad. I had plan on several more trips to Asia the next three years, and I will say that at this point, I will not fly CP again. Something needs to change. A call to me is in order. I witnessed several gaps in CP systems and other issues with training the staff. Your survey did not specify the flight crew. Except for the loading issues and the lack of information about Customs being.closed at SF, the service was world class...what I had come to expect from CP"

Next day, after boarded the plane, had to sit inside plane for 2 1/2 hours until the plane takes off. It was not a good experienced, even though they gave us a voucher for 75.$"

Webjet customer service was horrible and offensive when I tried to explain to them what happened; they said it was my responsibility to check the time. I would disagree - the customer is ultimately supposed to get an email notifying them of the flight change, giving them options. Based on that phone call with Webjet, I will NEVER do business with them again. As for the flight cancellation issue - if Kayak could help me get to the bottom of this, that would be appreciated."

Trash and dishes were not picked up and when we asked attendant he asked us to bring them to the cabin ourselves! after sitting with them in front of us for an hour after dinner. Window screens left up during flight omitting sun glare making It hard to sleep. been making the LAX to Brisbane or Sydney flight to 8 years now, Qantas has progressively got worse while Virgin customer service remains as a high standard. Looks like sales on Qantas will no longer entice me, I'll be sticking with virgin"

Miinukset: "The seats!! We’re too squeezed together!! We all found it difficult to breathe, as we felt like “SARDINES” packed neatly in a can!! Which also made it difficult for leg room. I tried to not recline my seat, as I knew how I felt when passenger in front of me reclined his seat. Please, try to give us a little more space !!"

Miinukset: "I picked a window seat very early on through a phone call to a Turkish Airline agent in the USA, but when I checked in online, the seat assigned to me was gone and I was put in a middle seat while there were many other seats available. This erasure of the record and random seat assignment nullify the effort on the part of the passenger (making a call is not a trivial act these days because of the long waits) and generate uncertainty in the minds of the travellers. Hope you can improve on this point. That will make an even better impression on the passengers."
Miinukset: "They cancelled my returning flight WITHOUT me knowing and expecting me to pay for the penalty fee for misisng the first flight even tho I DID not cancel the returning flight which obviously I was gonna take. The staff was RUDE and INSENSITIVE. Qatar was better in overall customer service. Worst customer service from Turkish airline."

Miinukset: "The fact that Turkish airline clearly is too stingy to take proper care of their passengers. You don’t provide accommodation when people get a stopover which is disgusting considering it is an airline that is supposed to represent a developed country. This cancels out anything you feel is a plus about the airline. This needs to be sorted out."

Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

One flight attendant was amazing, 1st class although she wasn't even in business class. Somehow felt others were tired or mind somewhere else, so not really good service. Choice of food was basic, but good choice of drinks. Plane was comfortable and I think pilot was a woman, which is a nice change. Excellent that there are dividers in the middle seat in business class. Corona restriction rules, like mask wearing rules is extremely wise. Other airlines removed it, but I like better your choice better. Feels safer.

Miinukset: "The original business class seat I was sitting on deflated and it felt like I was sitting on a hard floor. Luckily the seat beside me was empty and I used that. Although the business class seats are very comfortable the controls feel very clunky and make a lot of noise when adjusting. The food could have been better. Lunch tasted a bit too salty for me. The second meal which was described as a not warm dish was cold as if it came straight out the fridge."

I was genuinely uneasy and uncomfortable for the whole trip. I think there should be a designated child with adult area as I really don’t think this is acceptable. It is stressful enough traveling for 30+ hours this really is not welcome."

Plussat: "Flew back last weekend in February. Transfer between plane from Barcelona in Frankfort (LH hub) to flight to Boston extremely chaotic. Masses of passengers all attempting to transfer to US bound flights. Insufficient staff from both Lufthansa and German border control to process or even organize the masses of people flying that day. Mob scene at transfer points. Not up to LH usual standards. Quite surprising as their passenger volume data should have alerted them to impending problems. Our flight was delayed over an hour for takeoff so USA bound connecting passengers (whose luggage was already on the planes) could be processed."
