Plussat: "Breakfast & ease of boarding."
Miinukset: "Weather delay caused us (and hundreds, or perhaps thousands, of other travelllers) to miss connections. Lufthansa lost our luggage, and to get rid of us, told us they would send it to the hotel we had to check into on account of the overnight delay. They never delivered the luggage, and other employees later told us over the phone that this was not going to happen. The terminal was filled with tired and frustrated travelers, and to make matters worse, the Lufthansa staff were temperamental and condescending to many. At the peak of the chaos, the Lufthansa staff went out on break, while hundreds waited in line for over 8 hours. We expected more - much more - in one of Lufthansa’s own German domestic hubs."
Plussat: "The staff was courteous,friendly and helpful. The Plane was on time. The crew took time to tell us what we would be seeing as we flew, it was a beautiful morning for the flight until we experienced overcast skies in Austria- Germany. The staff did their job well with minimal comfort disruption."
Miinukset: "I would take this flight again. The only thing I would change is unloading procedure of walking down stairs on the outside of the terminal, then loaded on a stand up bus for a rather long ride to the terminal. It reminded me of London. But, I guess it is something you have to deal with."

Plussat: "Flew back last weekend in February. Transfer between plane from Barcelona in Frankfort (LH hub) to flight to Boston extremely chaotic. Masses of passengers all attempting to transfer to US bound flights. Insufficient staff from both Lufthansa and German border control to process or even organize the masses of people flying that day. Mob scene at transfer points. Not up to LH usual standards. Quite surprising as their passenger volume data should have alerted them to impending problems. Our flight was delayed over an hour for takeoff so USA bound connecting passengers (whose luggage was already on the planes) could be processed."
Miinukset: "Chaos and disorganization. Masses of connecting passengers unable to get to their flights anywhere near planned boarding time. Takeoffs delayed substantially."

Miinukset: "My 6am flight was cancelled while we were waiting in line. No one explained anything. Just went up to desk and I was put on a flight an hour later. But then my bag did not make it I was there in plenty of time to check in. Easy explanation would have helped"

Plussat: "This was our first time flying with Lufthansa and it was our favorite airline so far!! The flight attendants are why our experience was so great, they are so kind and helpful"
Miinukset: "They charged 40 Euro for baggage. On the charge again? Why this was not on any agreement International flights one baggage suppose to be free"
Plussat: "They were average in terms of comfort and crew. You can only get so conofortable in economy class and the crew did what they were expected to. I did feel that my empty meal tray was left on my table for quite some time though."
Miinukset: "We had no individual entertainment on the flight, only very old CRT screens hanging from the ceiling, circa 1995. They did show movies but the sound quality was poor and my headphone jack did not work so I had to share with my husband. They offered no explanation for this, since their website clearly promises individual screens for international flights. When asked, the FA simply said "this isn't our usual plane for these types of flights." However, we had the same issue when flying to Frankfurt with them, so the company seems to just be lying. The food can barely pass as food. Everything was ice cold except the main dinner entree, even the bread. The only vegetable available throughout our 8+ hour flight was shredded carrots absolutely swimming in mayonnaise. The boarding process was exceedingly slow and they would not allow use of cell phones for boarding passes, although their check in provides the attachments. This required probably 1/4 of those boarding to have to step aside to another line for a paper copy. Again, no apologies or explanations from the company. Overall, I wish I had shopped around a bit more and chosen another airline. International flying is supposed to be somewhat enjoyable, even in economy class. Instead, this was the longest 8+ hours of my life."
Miinukset: "This Lufthansa flight was flown through Air Canada, so this review doesn't reflect on other hosts. However the flight was the worst service I've ever had on an airline in every category."
Plussat: "The snacks were nice."
Miinukset: "We were delayed over 30 minutes and we did not get an update until like 20 minutes of sitting in the gate, which made me almost miss my connecting flight to New York. I also think that in the Barcelona airport there should be just a line to drop off the luggage since there is a self check out machine. It doesn't make sense to do the self check out and still get on the regular check out line to drop off the luggage."

Miinukset: "I had to pay 142 euros for my bags. I'm united Global and never have to pay for my bags. I don't mind a fee, but that was ridiculous!"

Miinukset: "Long lines and chaos at counters two hours waiting -- poor hotel provided-- poor food -- so awful. Now I hope we can get home today"
Plussat: "The price was good and connections were well-timed. Lufthansa had great food and service. A glass of pear brandy after dinner? Yes, please! I've seen a few other negative reviews for Lufthansa, but I've always had great experiences with them. The crew and food are top-notch."
Miinukset: "We had two legs on Lufthansa and the third was Air Canada. Lufthansa was great; great service, great food. But on Air Canada there was no food on a 5-hr international flight, the video screen didn't work well, and the flight attendant was having a rough day. And we took off at least 30 minutes late due to a couple of technical issues."
Plussat: "The flight attendants were very polite and helpful. The seats had those "wings" on either side of the head rest to help keep your head from bobbing back and forth. There were a few good movies to watch that were current, but a lot of old movies that we had zero interest in."
Miinukset: "The flight was considered a Lufthansa flight and had a Lufthansa flight number, but was operated by Air Canada. We could not check in online ahead of time for some reason. When we got to the airport, we tried to check in at the Lufthansa kiosk and check in line, but they told us we had to go to the Air Canada area. The ticketing/check in process was very confusing. As for the food, the chicken "wrap" was not a wrap, and was a weird Hot-Pocket type meal. After each meal, we ended up having to hold our garbage for quite some time which made manuvering in and out of seats a little tricky. I wish the seat cushion had a little more cushion since we were sitting for so long. Also at some point the overhead lights came on and stayed on, which was annoying if you were trying to nap."
Miinukset: "Systems were down. And it was chaos getting the boarding passes. Nothing was communicated to us until over an hour waiting in line. My daughter was miserable waiting as everyone passed by us, bumping into her and not apologizing."
Plussat: "Though our flight was cancelled due to inclement weather in Boston, I cannot say enough about the ticketing agent at the Luftansa desk. she was so incredibly helpful in rearranging our flights to get us where we needed to be as soon as possible. She spent so much time with us and on the phone and was very patient."

Miinukset: "Noises obnoxious passengers drinking standing up in the isles for long periods. Hanging on other passenger's seats. Very rude and clearly didn't care. Flight attendent tried to get them to sit and hold it down but it had little effect. They were part of a larger group so they wanted the flight to be a social event."

Plussat: "The airline staff for Lufthansa were kind, courteous, and respectful! As mentioned, haven't flown in 30 years, let alone, never overseas, and I couldn't have had a better experience; especially being in economy seating! Would fly with Lufthansa again in a second, and recommended them to friends on Facebook!!"
Miinukset: "No complaints!"
Miinukset: "The airplane left Barcelona late and arrived in Frankfurt late. Lufthansa only allowed a 45 minute layover in Frankfurt to catch our connecting flight to Seattle. Because we arrived late - we only had 20 minutes to catch our connecting flight to Seattle. What made this an awful experience is that the flight from Barcelona landed at Gate A - our connecting flight was at Gate Z. This was as about as far away from each gate as you could get. This was over a mile to run in order to catch our connecting flight - I hurt my hamstring during the run. The Lufthansa "assisting agent" in the Frankfurt terminal was less than helpful and laughed when we told her where our connecting gate was. Not only did she laugh but she did not offer any assistance to get us to the gate on time. Prior to our trip - I called Lufthansa and voiced my concern that a 45 minute layover for an international flight was not a lot of time for us to make a connecting flight. The agent I spoke with said that legally - 45 minutes was a standard lay over for Lufthansa and she did not offer me any alternatives. This was not a pleasant experience with Lufthansa and I doubt we will fly with you again."
Plussat: "It was a relatively short flight. Boarding went well and efficiently. Flight crew was attentive."

Miinukset: "The crew woman that assist us in Barcelona Airport counters for the check-in was really rude asking very personal question that I still don't understand why and questioning our passports without any reason. My partner and I felt very uncomfortable and that was a totally unnecessary situation. After that everything was totally great during the flight."

Miinukset: "I booked tickets via Delta, operated by KLM. They lost both of my check in bags in September, and it happened again today for the same scheduled flights. Had 4 hours of layover and KLM still wasn’t able to manage it."
Plussat: "The flight AMS to MEX was smooth, very helpful personnel on board, we enjoyed a bit more space and the seat seemed a bit more comfortable."
Miinukset: "Besides the seat relative comfort, it did not recline much at all, i wondered what the extra money (at least $5 or $600) got us. The food, wine/ beer service was same as regular economy, the boarding took place at same time as economy, no drink before take-off if only sparkling water. And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

Plussat: "The aircraft felt clean and quite spacious (decent legroom). Cabin crew was friendly and everything went as expected. Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."
Miinukset: "Very odd queue separation at boarding. Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

Miinukset: "KLM's new configuration for this type of plane made the seats even narrower than before. While leg room was reasonable, the 3 abreast seating meant a lot of discomfort, especially in the row right in front of the restroom."

Plussat: "KLM fed a sandwich even though the flight was only 2 hours. The crew was pleasant. Getting through the Amsterdam airport to catch a connecting flight with only an hour to do so was no big deal. Airport staff was pleasant and helpful."

Miinukset: "Both ways up and down I struggled with over-head luggage space. We were allowed a cabin bag and a small hand-bag in the flight but as we were among the last half of the passengers to board the flight we couldn't find anywhere to keep our luggage and the crew had to take them away from us to store them somewhere at the back far away from our seats. As a result we had to wait until all the passengers got off the plane to get back our luggage and we were the last two passengers to get off. Unpleasant!"
Plussat: "Flight was on time, crew professional, food and drinks good and kept coming. I learnt Dutch on the in-flight entertainment system. I was in a good mood talking to another passenger about his new luggage system. This mood was kept and not taken away on the flight."

Plussat: "We rode economy. This was on par with other airlines. Plane was clean, Crew was good. On time. Actually seemed that the seats had a bit more room than the American Airlines planes."
Miinukset: "Cannot talk to a human. Check in was at a Luftansa kiosk. If an attendant at the Frankfurt airport had not showed us, there was no obvious way to guess how to check a bag or get a boarding pass. So if you do not speak German fluently, ask an attendant as soon as you get to the check in area, and save yourself some walking and time."
Miinukset: "We had three hour delay due to thunderstorms."

Miinukset: "SAS has introduced hand luggage measurement and weighing at checkin, for a maximum of 17.5 lbs or 8 kg. SAS does not care if you have flown on another transatlantic carrier, which allows more than 8 kg. Then you need to start emptying your hand luggage at checkin. The whole checkin process was a big mess, the contract employees eg. at Heathrow do not help much (they probably do not do this to any other airline). SAS staff does not remind you to take your IDs and passport, medications etc. from your hand luggage, which is then checkedin luggage as opposed to hand luggage. It is obvious that transatlantic passengers have more hand luggage than many local passengers."
Miinukset: "Internet page for buying excess baggage was difficult to understand."
Plussat: "The customer service was great & they attended to my son who has a disability & flying on his own. He arrived well & happy so we were pleased with the service."
Plussat: "Every one from the check-in counter to the baggage claim was gracious, courteous and very interested in my well-being. It was quite a lovely experience.."

Miinukset: "It doesn't really matter that other aspects of the flight were ok when I had to pay £60.00 for my one regular-size suitcase, and I don't find out until I am standing at the check-in counter. Why do travelers have to pay for checked luggage, at all?"
Miinukset: "The SAS Supervisor at the gate permitted all preferred-level economy class ticketed passengers to board irrespective of the amount of their carry-on items - in some cases as many as three different items and many over-sized as per the measuring box located at the gate walkway, before conducting a bag-by-bag weight check on all the remaining economy ticketed passengers. Any carry-on item over 8 kgs was refused access to the airplane, and had to be unpacked at the gate in full view of other passengers to remove all electronic devices or breakable items, prior to being left with the gate agent to be placed on the plane as checked luggage. This procedure was conducted in an officious and highly non-customer friendly way, and was embarrassing to those passengers who had to "strip down" their single bag, in particular for female passengers who had overnight clothing and toiletries. A more practical and customer appropriate approach should replace such a draconian procedure."
Miinukset: "We couldn't check in online because we had an infant in arms. So we tried to check in there. There were 3 different terrible queues. One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."
Plussat: "The crew was friendly. There were many empty seats so I had a row to myself."
Miinukset: "Being jolted by turbulence and turbulence while landing. Boarding in Thessaloniki was a little uncomfortable as we had to stand in a hot bus with no circulation on the tarmac while waiting for all passengers to board."

At the airport I was charged 60 pounds for a small bag. Crazy! Completely unreasonable. Never flying SAS again if I can avoid it."
Plussat: "The thoughtfulness and competency of the personnel. I needed wheelchair assistance and found that every was very attentive to my needs and very competent, especially the ones assigned to get me from place to place. Even in Rome, where we had to deplane on the tarmac, I had a young woman and a young man to assist me and they helped me in every way possible."
Miinukset: "I needed a gluten free meal and found it rather dry and unappetizing."
Miinukset: "Flight was 4 hours delayed, we could not leave the airplane every passanger just could have one water during the waiting time When finally arrived in Copenhagen i missed my last connections for the night and the airline wasnt helpful at all!"

On-line boarding continues to be an issue for Green Card holders returning to the US - why not explain that one cannot pre-print boarding passes and instead must go to boarding pass issues-line as soon as one enters the airport."

I had to change from terminal F to E which was well sign posted but I only made it with 4 minutes to spare"

Miinukset: "People may think,that the delay of the flight has set my mood for this review but I can ensure it has most definitely not. With all the bad weather, I was already very happy to connect right on time in Paris. However, a long haul A380 flight with such a tight seat configurstion is almost embarrassing for an airline. The in flight entertainment is at a very poor level, not only with the screen being very small and outdated, many of the movies are only available in French and the international selection very limited. The food was not much of a delight, whereas the presentation was nice. However, in all the 7 h between the services, nobody came around with refreshments in a completely booked flight, neither was announced that a trolly would be set for self service in the galley. Lucky the ones who got up and found out about. In terms of amenities, again, the airline is lacking of originality and saves cost. Bottom line: you get from A to B, but there are so many better competitors in the market, which I shall definitely consider on my next travel."

Miinukset: "It was very hot in there probably hotter than it should be. Not much air flow I was sweating the whole flight. Because of this I couldn't sleep it was kinda miserable not gonna lie."

Miinukset: "we paid for two seats together (one aisle and one middle) an exit row with extra legroom from paris to LA. but when we got to Prague they had one of us in the middle seat in the exit row and the other in a completely different part of the plane, also a middle row. The folks in Prague couldn't fix this, they moved one ticket to a different exit row, not together, different part of the plane. In Paris, but ONLY after I located my receipt on my phone, they moved us to the seats we had paid for."
