They wanted me to purchase a new ticket and pay full price instead of the difference. The flight ime on my itinerary was 12:15a on Sunday (instead of 00:15) which confused me. My flt coming to ABV, airline left my baggage in turkey too and had no representative at airport to inform us what happened. Seems airline treats flights to Nigeria this way"

There was a group of young employees and they came off as very immature. There was a crying baby next to me for the majority of the 13 hours. They ran out of food, and I had no choice but to eat the pasta option even though I do not eat pasta in my normal life. My knees hurt from not having space to stretch out for such a long flight. It was freezing cold and they did not have extra blankets. It felt like my section kept getting skipped over for everything (food, liquids, general checking in to make sure people were okay). We boarded late, and left late. When I arrived the luggage took VERY long - almost an hour - to come out."

Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

Miinukset: "in a previous email we explained that by the time we arrived at the gate in Sao Paulo, the airline refused our boarding the plane and said only "we don't like Kayak". We never boarded the plane and there was a credit to our credit card, so why are you asking how our flight went?"
Plussat: "When we arrived at the gate we were told they did not have us in the system and the one gate attendant told us that the airline did not like Kayak. We were then forced to stay in the airport hotel at a rate of almost $200.00 as we were unable to secure a flight on a different airline until the next day"

Plussat: "Service from the flight attendants were fantastic. The food was delicious and the entertainment included plenty of movie options. I'm also glad that my bags were never lost throughout all of my flights this summer on Turkish Airlines."
Miinukset: "I know seats in the 777-300 recline but do not disrupt the next row's space. That was not the case on the Airbus A330-300. It would be nice if the same seats were on the Airbus aircraft I flew from Istanbul to Bangkok."
Miinukset: "Our flight was canceled and we lost an entire day of our vacation (apartment rental, car rental, etc). Before leaving to Istanbul when we were in New York we asked if they would reroute our flights from New York City to Naples, Italy since the terrorist attack occurred in Istanbul causing the airport to be shut down. We were reassured that there would be no problems and we would be rerouted once we landed in Turkey, and lo and behold our flights were canceled. We had to spend the day in Turkey, pay for our own food, and pay for the visa €30 per person. This all could have been avoided had they rerouted our flights to another city."

Miinukset: "More a problem of the San Francisco airport than the airlines, but getting through passport control/customs involved multiple VERY long, slow-moving lines with very few people working to process the crowds. Then, even though my bags were checked all the way through to my final destination, I had to pick up my luggage and re-check it, and go through security again--and that also seemed poorly organized and/or short-staffed."

Additionally they are very inflexible if you want to make a change to your tickets after purchasing. Boarding the plane is handled very inefficiently and takes much longer than most other airlines. The food is mediocre and the drink cart only comes by every 2 hours or so which is far too infrequent"

They assured me it would be handled properly. Well this promise turned out to be lie. The plates were broken. Even though they were wrapped. I am sad and angry. My carry-on was small and light. There was no reason that it should be singled out in the first place. Now what?"
Plussat: "the gate crew didn't care if there was chaos. no interaction with waiting passengers beyond those that queued up with direct questions. i'd liken the experience to herding cattle. customer service skills haven't been taught to these folks yet. if i were basing my lufthansa experience on this alone, i'd go out of my way to fly another airline next time. on the other hand, the people staffing the flight were extremely kind, professional, pleasant, personable. a much improved experience. so much so that i mentioned it to a few people once i got home. this crew has received more training on how to provide excellent service than the gate folks in frankfurt."

Miinukset: "Frankfurt airport: Had to walk for an hour to get from gate to gate. I was getting off an international flight and onto another international flight. International gates are usually closer than that. On the flight: 1. The armrests pull up, which is great if you're traveling with family or a significant other. But, in my case, it was an overweight and obese lady, who didn't fit in her seat and just slipped into half of mine. I was stuck with half a seat with her arm bumping mine for a 12-hour flight. I landed with a bruised arm. It was a round trip flight. When I had submitted a complaint, Lufthansa refunded me a 100$, which is nice of them, but I think they should have upgraded me for my return flight instead to make up for the first flight being uncomfortable. 2. I paid for the internet service and was charged double for it. Again, had to submit a complaint and was refunded the money. Check-in: The online system wouldn't allow me to check in online because my passport wasn't biometric."

Miinukset: "The B747 is big and takes longer to board and longer to get your bag. WIFI is expensive at about $19. Seats are cramped or that's what I felt."

I called the website and they didn't help me a all. I had to book a new one way ticket that costed me $1450 I have been using Kayak for 5+ years and I'm very disappointed that I had to deal with such terrible vayma experience!"

Miinukset: "When I purchased my flight ticket , I purchased with a checked bag (23 kg /50 #) how ever ( who will fly to Ukraine with a 10kg suitcase) I booked for a KLM flight , they used (partener airlines ) when I arrived to LA I flew with Delta , they checked my Suitcase at no cost all the way to my final destinations , that was expected ! When I was going to return , they made me payed 120 dollars ( in Kiev , Ukraine (UIA) , I was very disappointed and I really will love an explanation about all this !"

Miinukset: "Gate agent refused to try to put my 9-year-old son to sit next to me. She said "It's full flight" right out of the bat. Well, even if that's the fact of the matter, at least, be kind in responding to customer's inquiry. My son was seated across the isle, same row, but in reality the row was not even straight. And as a little boy, he cannot sleep straight and he has to lean to a stranger's shoulder? Thankfully I got a nice gent who should have sat next to him who were so kind to exchange seat with me. It's all in the attitude.... hopefully my attitude is not as bad :-) But maybe the gate agent was so tired for it was the last flight from ONT, at 1 AM. Bless her heart! Thank you though for your help to get the plane leave on time.!"

Shame on them for not providing something so standard as a blanket."

At airport check in desk, manual data entry errors during airport check in caused issues during customs at the end of the flight. Also we were not seated together initially even tho reservations were made months in advance. Airline online check in was pushing us to pay extra for seats together."

Miinukset: "Found out that a lot of Argentinians do not obey the crew rules. Before the seatbelt sign turns off they already start moving to the front of the plane. But off course is not the airline duty to teach manners."
Miinukset: "American Airlines delayed my flight over 16 hours. Very unhappy."
Plussat: "Nothing special. Horrible food (the worst in years). Cabin crew try to manage but a refurbished plane doesn't justify more than double for a substandard bussines class."
Miinukset: "There seets are two small. And they dont sell alcohol. That sucks."
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed 4 hours so we missed our connection. The entertainment system was down during the flight and all they did was apologized over the speaker. There was no rep waiting to help upset customers so we had to wait TWO hours in line as there were only 2 girls at the counter when there are 6 counters. They were completely unapologetic and although they set us up on another airline to fly back, the whole experience was completely unsettling. AVIANCA NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!"

Got lucky that they didn't move us onto a next flight because there was a domino effect on the flight. I stead of solving a problem for 200, they began to make problems for 600."

Miinukset: "The weather was bad in Dallas preventing our landing. Our plane had to be diverted to be refueled which caused us to miss our connecting flight. There was no one at the counter to help us, but one of the crew told us to call the 800 number which told us our connecting flight was in the air. When we finally found someone to help us, they rescheduled us for the next flight out 11 hours later. When we asked about accommodations, we were told there would be none since it was weather related. Then we were told we could "look for a cot", but she didn't know where any cots were."
Miinukset: "-AC was way too high. -Blanket was way too small and thin. Only cover half of my body and they didn't have any extra blankets -There was no free movie available on a flight that's over hrs long. -I got sick because it was so cold"

Miinukset: "AC was aware of flight delay due to computer system failure which caused missed flight connections for passengers and yet there was only one customer service rep at the counter in the Toronto Pearson airport to provide directions to stranded and confused passengers when AC1621 landed at 12:30pm on March 13 from Fort Lauderdale. After waiting in line at customer service for more than an hour, I was told I was booked for 9am flight the next day. I was with 2 kids, no options were explained about an overnight stay. The rep put me on standby and said they were flights every hour and told me to wait for next flight. Again no further explanations about standby, I was going from one gate to the next for 3 hours and I wasn't called. When I asked the agent, she asked me to wait. Finally a fellow passenger told me to check with agent at the next gate. That agent found out the cs rep put my family on standby but put a Nonexisting flight #202. So I was never called. I didn't pay money to get this kind of poor service. All I wanted was the basics, get me home without confusion. What a shame Air Canada! Our national pride is on the line. It should be named Air Nada cause no cs whatsoever. Bad management is to blame. Train your staff and hire qualified people to handle tech dept. We have no control over weather but tech backup is worth investing to prevent tech system issues."

Miinukset: "I didn't care for the attitudes if the stage working in the Toronto airport. Things really aren't clear there for first-timers and much of the staff was acting like I should already know to do a lot of things when there weren't any clearly posted signs saying so. There is also a huge lack of organization."

Miinukset: "Seats extremely narrow and back support non-existent."
Miinukset: "Food was grose. Seat was located on an emergency exit and supposed to be "preferred". Worst seat ever. Right next to the window is very uncomfortable since your stuck to the wall if the plane. Theres no window on that row. But this specific seat is awkward and very uncomfortable."
Plussat: "Gate customer service (Jaslon) at Newark Airport was great. When my flight from Newark to Toronto was late and I was going to miss my connection, Jaslon was very helpful by rebooking me on a better flight and having my bags transferred immediately. Second checked bag fee was reasonable,"
Miinukset: "You pay for everything - snacks, headphones, food. Slow counter service at check-in at Newark"
Plussat: "The staff on board the plane were excellent."
Miinukset: "The wireless entertainment system is slow and glitchy and did not work on an older iPad. The food was subpar but by airline standards was middle of the road."

Miinukset: "It took two hours to check my bag at the airport. The plane engine needed to be jump started, and I missed my connection flight to Paris. I had to spend an entire day stuck in Toronto, sick from terrible Hotel and airport food, cheap vouchers for terrible food, I missed my traveling companion who made the flight to Paris. I left my hat on the plane after the terrible flight in which they refused us any basic courtesies for the numerous passengers who were about to be stranded, and then the grooming crew kept my hat instead of turning it in to lost and found. Best part? Customer service told me that since I booked via Kayak, that I was not a valued customer and that they would not extend any courtesies to me for destroying my work trip itinerary."

Plussat: "The most important thing of course is that we arrived safely of course. The plane was clean, the staff members were polite."
Miinukset: "The seats were so small and terribly uncomfortable. I looked it up and it seems they are some of the smallest seats in the industry. They packed the dreamliner with more seats than it was meant for, making it really cramped for an international flight. Most people had to sit with their feet in their chair because it was so uncomfortable, and my knees were jammed up into the back of the seat in front if I put them down. And I'm only 5'7" so I can't imagine what it would be like for people 6' and above. The seats are hard, narrow and sloped at an odd angle. The bathroom design is poor - the lids of the toilets will NOT stay up and come crashing down on your back when you sit down (disgusting!!). I tried 4 toilets before I could find one that worked without the loose lid. Also the food was really inferior. It is the worst food I have had on an international flight, and I have flown many trips including Delta, Emirates, British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, etc. There was also a much smaller movie selection than I am used to. Overall it seemed like a budget airline and was one of my least comfortable trips."

Plussat: "Crew was late on first leg delayed 3 hours than nobody to close the cabin door from outside ,missed connecting flight. Than did not have inventory in Chicago to out up in hotel had to pay out of my pocket and to this day can't get hold of customer service to get claim resolved. Sent through email and nothing. Even went down to my airport in Phoenix to speak and no help. Also lost bag as well. Which later found by united not air Canada. Unbelievable"
Miinukset: "Have you heard of an International flight without entertainment? That's just the surface. Our flight from Athens to Toronto was delayed 4hrs causing us to miss our connection to NYC. When customer service was called for assistance to get another flight, we found there were no flights out after 8 pm. I appreciate the vouchers for food and hotel. But after 35hr of traveling to NYC we come to find that our luggage was left in Toronto. Traveling with Air Canada was a series of poor customer care and negligence. I was very disappointed."
Miinukset: "You put me on Delta once I got to Detroit. Confusing and exhausting when you're not use to different airports and flying."
Plussat: "We missed our connecting flight due to a delay and we were automatically rebooked on the next fight. On an US airline, we would have o stand in line to get that done. We traveled on Rouge, from Venice to Montreal, and it was better than the reviews I had prior. There was an outlet to charge electronic devices and the app was easy to use."
Miinukset: "The delay was due to getting baggage loaded. 1.5 hours. There is an issue there."
Plussat: "entertainment system was very good. Crew were fine. The flight itself was fine as well, no issues with weather, etc so it was just long."
Miinukset: "The boarding at Rome was chaotic. They give you a "zone" assignment but they never used it. People were just milling around trying to figure it out. Weird."
Miinukset: "Air Canada ROUGE to Dublin was a nightmare. Small seats. Could not hear the announcements. When I asked the staff to repeat the information, I was assured that they would. They did not. Since the flight was late on takeoff and connections were lost this was critical. Overhead latches were not checked prior to landing. One opened during landing. Only because the pilot landed gently, nothing fell on the people in the seats. Entertainment!! nothing. You need to have downloaded an app to use your electronic device or rent an Ipad. More money in their pocket."

Miinukset: "The charge per bag is ridiculous. It should be included as part of fare paid. Understood another bag charge as a separate fee."
Plussat: "The flight from Tel Aviv to Toronto was excellent and the food was great. I'm definitely using Air Canada in the future!"
