That means I have missed my flights from Manchester to UK with Air Lingus (booked through Kayak website) It seems I must now purchase a new ticket to get home from Manchester to Nashville. All expenses I can ill afford. Lesson learned...cannot afford to use Kayak anymore...sorry."
Plussat: "I'm 6 ft 2. Legspace was adequate, and no silly boxes under the seats like other airlines that obstruct your feet. Great entertainment systems - modern, good selection. Food and staff excellent."
Miinukset: "Their online checkin systems could operate a bit more smoothly. At one point, I had to go in in person, because the online checkin site had an already past flight from their codeshare partner SAS showing up as the next flight, and I couldn't perform online checkin as a result."
Plussat: "On board entertainment ststem has lots of options to choose from on all accounts. Food selection was good, served hot with large selection of drinks. Overall much better than US airlines that cross Atlantic."
Miinukset: "More comfortable seats for long haul flights is a must have. Comfort+ Offered a money’s worth alternative to business or first class. Boarding is done away from terminal building which required busess for transportation back and forth. Prefer skybridge instead."

Miinukset: "When boarding the flight from Turkey, to Mumbai , we had to climb up the ladder with our hand luggage.Being senior citizen and traveling in Busniss class was very hard for us."

Miinukset: "They purposefully do not update their delays, which are frequent and widespread. They do this so their percentage on time looks better. Both my flights were over an hour delayed but Turkish Airline refused to update the status of the flight. They both came up as “on time”. My driver at my destination therefore waited an additional hour for me and I was charged 90 additional euros. The flight said it was on time online and at the gate it also read “on time.”"

Miinukset: "The flight left early, without me. Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

After booking both mine and my boyfriend's tickets we were later warned that there will be an 8 hour lay over instead of the expected 3 hour (as booked). I will try my very best to avoid Turkish Airlines in the future. After taking many long haul flights in my life, I can safely say that this was my worst and most disorganised travel."

Miinukset: "The security at the airport is a little too much. Once we landed at Istanbul we went through a security check point which took about 30-40 minutes. I barely made it to my connection flight . Then I went through another security check before boarding the plane. Unnecessary in my opinion"
Miinukset: "in a previous email we explained that by the time we arrived at the gate in Sao Paulo, the airline refused our boarding the plane and said only "we don't like Kayak". We never boarded the plane and there was a credit to our credit card, so why are you asking how our flight went?"
Plussat: "My JFK to IST flight on Oct 21st, the plane was nice and new. The seats were comfortable and the entertainment was up to date. The food on this particular flight was good."
Miinukset: "According to the Turkish Airlines site they offer free accommodations to passengers who have over 10 hr layover in Istanbul if you are an economy passenger. I was under this impression that I would fall under this category because when I initially booked the ticket (JFK - IST - LIS and return LIS - IST - JFK) my layover back to JFK was 18 hours. Two weeks prior to leaving for my trip I received a notification saying that the layover will be extended to 34 hours. Seeing that my layover was extended, I thought that Turkish Airline would offer me accommodation for both nights. When I arrived to IST (10:30pm local time) I went to the Turkish Airline transfer desk in which they said they would not allow me to have the 2 nights accommodation. After about an hour and half of discussion they could only offer me one night accommodation and changed my flight to an earlier flight. The attendant who was serving me told me to wait by the kiosk until my name was called. At the 30 minute mark I tried to ask another kiosk attendant to see what the status was and he replied back in a very rude manner saying he has no idea what I'm referring to and that essentially was not his problem. After another hour and half of waiting and seeing other frustrated passengers going to the transfer desk and not being helped, I went on the queue to see what the status of my ticket was. They finally gave me my ticket and at this point it was close to 1am. Thankfully I did research before hand and under the assumption that I was going to spend a day in Istanbul, spent $20 and got a Turkish visa prior to my travel, which according the the turkish consulate website that you can no longer get a visa while in the airport. I finally reached the airport hotel at 2:30am but the airport shuttle was to arrive in 4 hours to shuttle all the passengers back. So not only did I deal with a rude staff, but I paid $20 to be in Turkey for about 4 hours in an airport hotel."
Plussat: "When we arrived at the gate we were told they did not have us in the system and the one gate attendant told us that the airline did not like Kayak. We were then forced to stay in the airport hotel at a rate of almost $200.00 as we were unable to secure a flight on a different airline until the next day"

It was very pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed the flight. We felt like we received first class treatment in the economy section of the plane. From warm hand towels, beautiful menus for meals and beverages available, a toiletry bag and much more. The inflight entertainment was awesome. Love the large screen and the touch screen abilities. So many great choices."
Miinukset: "The temperature of the cabin changed drastically from being very hot to very cold in a short matter of time. The boarding process was also not organized well at all as we lined up in our groups, but people did not follow this so although we were group A, somehow people from lower groups were boarding before us. The seats were a bit hard."

On the way back with the same 3 identical bags Lufthansa charged us $399.47 (£306.92), again all under 23KG. How can it be fair to charge passengers 2.4 times more to return home with their bags?"

Miinukset: "With the exception of one Asian cabin crew, others were cold. Food has worsened on Lufthansa. Portion and quality are not as good as 1 year ago. I find the seat average in comfort for premium economy. If only the seat would move forward, I keep sliding off it. Cathay Pacific has a much better seat."

Plussat: "My previous flights with Lufthansa have been in business class, which is fabulous. However, on this occasion flew economy because I got an exceptionally cheap ticket. I was pleasantly surprised. Obviously the seat was narrower, but had plenty of legroom. The food in economy in Lufthansa is better than most airlines’ business class meals. The crew is very courteous and professional. You really can’t go wrong with this airline."

Waiting for long time in a crowded bus to NORAD the plane then rushing out of the bus to Nita the plane with no lines and having to wait for the crowds outside the lane in a freezing temperature. Furthermore, there was no entertainment on the plane and the food was horrible. Add to this the very cramped seat space and no carry ons in the plane (unless you speak German)"

Plussat: "Flight out was delayed by four and a half hours, missed connection was a pain. Was not aware that Lufthansa changed their policy. To reserve seats you have to pay hundreds of dollars, which was not made clear while booking. Further the quality of their food was significantly degraded."

Woman across aisle from me couldn't get out of her seat when the person in front reclined. This should just be illegal, period! Food was not very good. Entertainment options was limited."

Plussat: "Lufthansa, always competent and pleasant. Everything works well. Very reliable. Business Class seats are competent. No complaints. Not overly plush but everything works. Same with the service. If consistency is what you’re looking for then Lufthansa can’t be beat. It’s the Lexus of the airline industry. Not Mercedes or Rolls Royce though."
Miinukset: "The food is never exceptional on Lufthansa. No low carb or low fat alternatives. Heavy cream is a hallmark. Again, Noor exceptional but good enough. Here, I think American, Delta and United have done a better job recently."

Also, LH like many others continues to serve cold rolls and cold butter on international flights. KLM warms the rolls! It’s the one small touch that would make Lufthansa’s meal service so much nicer."

Plussat: "The flight was on time enough that I comfortably got to my connecting flight. It was still late and some other passengers were anxious they wouldn't get theirs. The crew was nice."
Miinukset: "Business class seats were regular seats with the middle seat unused. The "meal" on this early flight (had to leave the house around 4:30am to get to it) was light. I'm glad I had the time to stop at the business lounge first. I don't recall any entertainment system, which isn't a big issue on this short flight."
Plussat: "Very polite and attentive service. Took off and arrived on time, Plane seems new and clean."
Miinukset: "Seat 31G had extra legroom. That was great, but no one told me that it would be a few inches narrower than normal economy. The elbow rest had a single layer and thus couldn't be shared with the adjacent passenger. I'm 220 lbs and he was around the same size. I literally spent the entire flight with my arms crossed to avoid pressing into him. That seat is meant for kids or very thin people. There should be a warning."

We received two meals and frequent beverage service. The seats were pretty comfortable, though when the seat in front of you reclined the space was greatly reduced."
Miinukset: "We had to pay to get seat assignments. it wasn't cheap and then they changed the seats we'd chosen to seats at the very back of the plane. The boarding process is chaotic, at least compared to American practices."
Plussat: "We are extremely grateful to Lufthansa and Munich airport administration for organization of the transfer between connected flights wit a short connection time. We have had only 40 minutes transfer time between flights from Budapest and to Washington DC, and started to worry that we may not make it since the boarding was in the opposite part of the waste airport. So, it was a great relief when we saw the airport representative meeting us at the exit from Budapest plane to lead toward the Washington DC flight gate. In 30 minutes we were in our plane to continue flight to the US. Thank you so much!"

Miinukset: "I called for a crew member 5 times and waited 25 minutes for anyone to help me with just some water. I had to get up and go to the very back of the plane to ask for some water. The plane was hot and no air to be found. This was all after we had to get back off the plane before takeoff. It was terrib"

Plussat: "Last year I flew Lufthansa which was my worst experience flying ever. I thought the new standard was so low I would never fly to Europe again. I had heard KLM was good but I felt this was as good as could be expected actually much better. The food was even good."

Miinukset: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. So he ends up having to pay for another Lyft back to our apartment in Dallas, then another additional one for the 12 noon flight the next morning. If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."
Miinukset: "He was bumped to the next day due to his flight being cancelled. Then re-booked the next day, with an additional layover. Then due to a 32 minute layover that left 3 minutes sooner..."

No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."

When the dog rightfully acted defensive trying to protect me, the crew member started threatening me that he would have the dog sent to cargo, the last thing a person with an emotional support pet wants to hear. Extreme lack of professionalism."

Miinukset: "Boarding was not too well organized and I followed Security's direction who put me in wrong line and I wasn't able to board with my priority group. Sitting in exit row with no floor storage so this delay made it hard to find overhead storage above my seat. (Grrrr) Entertainment system didn't work which made the flight feel LOOONG. (They offered an in-flight credit, but I'd paid for premium exit row seat and had to choose between moving to working system in crowded middle seat or keep premium, exit seat. I decided to have them move me to a seat with a working entertainment system, which were available and they'd offered, but never happened.) When I got home, I discovered the gift I purchased with in-flight credit and my own money wasn't the one I'd requested from Duty Free catalog so now I have to figure out how to solve this problem. (COULDN'T GET IT RIGHT.) Premium exit row seat was narrow, due to in-seat tray table & entertainment system, but seatbelt mounts and thinly padded seat made it even more uncomfortable on a long flight."

The folks in Prague couldn't fix this, they moved one ticket to a different exit row, not together, different part of the plane. In Paris, but ONLY after I located my receipt on my phone, they moved us to the seats we had paid for."

And the choice of new films was somewhat disappointing - they are relying quite a lot on older films. and no duty free at all (the crew were apparently not given the correct paperwork to allow sales). This was disappointing as I had been hoping to pick up a dual SIM gadget. None of these minus points are major, but they detracted from my enjoyment of the flight"

I got immediately greeted by a flight attendant and got offered a glass of water (real glass) followed by a warm towel. The seats were wider and had more leg room than in economy and reclined more. The food was delicious and served with real silverware. Complimentary blanket, a pillow, socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, ear plugs and a sleep mask ensured that I got a good few hours of sleep. I was definitely much more rested than I would have been in an economy seat and very grateful for the upgrade!"

I would be prepared to pay an extra £10 for unlimited snacks. They need to clean the toilets every few hours as the flight is 13 hours. By the end of the flight the floor of the toilet was disgusting. The cushion was horrible."
Plussat: "I thoroughly enjoyed my flights. Boarding was efficient and well-conducted. Seats were quite comfortable, I felt. The entertainment systems included plenty of content; movies allowed for different tastes, and there were other options. The crew were thoughtful and responsive to specific requests or needs. Blankets and pillows, earphones and announcements were useful. It was possible to sleep, but also, to stay awake if necessary. The flight arrived in good time, and was de-boarded efficiently as well. The menu was sufficient, although the tarragon chicken was underwhelming: the pasta dish was quite nice. The coffee was not great, but drinkable. I appreciated having actual milk for the coffee."
Miinukset: "The gates at Heathrow are not announced until one hour before, which can mean a long trek to arrive in time for boarding. Also, at IAD, there's a lot of queuing and navigating passage systems both to get to the plane and to arrive back. I liked the new kiosks for the entry to immigration/passport however."
