Plussat: "Priority boarding for parents with children was a huge help. Provided extra blankets and most of the crew's friendliness was very appreciated."
Miinukset: "Provided bassinet is much too small for even a 17 months old. Also very hard bedding made it impossible for the kid to sleep. We observed same with the other parents. Alone with that, the height of the bassinet makes it easy for the kid to get distracted. WORSE PART: Our daughter couldn't get comfortable to sleep and got fussy, so I took her for a walk which didn't help much. Since it was bedtime 11pm with 0 to little traffic, and to avoid her crying from disturbing everyone I resorted to one of the bathrooms with her. She did fall asleep for about 1 hour until one the FA came literally BANGING on the door. Very rude even after I calmly explained the situation. So sorry for such people with no compassion nor understanding in their hearts."

Miinukset: "I had a swollen and sprained ankle during the flight, I had it resting near the aisle to stretch and move to try and keep it from swelling further. Unfortunately, my injured ankle was kicked several times by a rushed crew member. It would be great if they could be a bit more mindful and watch where they are walking. Also, the breakfast before landing was spoiled when I discovered fungus in my butter after I had already eaten half of it."

They would skip us along the way while serving others, or even drop ice on us, and never said sorry once (instead, they would say it's only ice, or if I want 2 since they skipped me already twice when serving tea unlike the passengers around me on both sides). We paid nearly $6k for the 3 of us, but the crew made us feel as if we paid nothing. The entertainment system did not work well, and most of the time the movies refused to play. We were always suggested to restart, and were not even given free access to internet as an alternative. No one ever apologized for anything in the entire flight, it felt like this flight was a favor."

Food was horrible on every leg. Husbands tv did not work. I am petite and seats too small even for me. never again will o give this airline my money."

Miinukset: "The seats in the economy class are too small. Not once did I have someone sitting next to me who could actually fit in his seat. They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Miinukset: "The seat pitch is inhumane. I could barely fit into the seat without hitting my knees on the seat in front. And that was before the person ahead of me reclined. It's not like Lufthansa is a budget airline. It's a full-fledged major carrier charging full-fledged prices. Seriously, I was expecting more."
Plussat: "New airplane A380-800. Staff was nice but no nonsense. Entertainment had good selections, although interface was a bit clunky and slow to respond."

Plussat: "The customer service phone number was impossible to get through on in order to take to someone within 24 hours of my flight in order to make my Special Meals request as I have Celiac's Disease. I was unable to make this selection at booking as when you book through a third party like Expedia, which I did, you cannot access the same internal tools required to make that selection. You can ONLY then call once you have checked in before the flight in order to let the airline know of your Special Meal needs. This is not only a terrible policy as it undercuts those who ARE ultimately still buying tickets to their airline, and that the airline is CHOOSING to sell. It provided me with an extremely subpar experience of the airline but left up to the last minute with doubts about my ability to board a 13 he international flight without the reassurance that I would have ANY meals aboard and no other options should that be the case. Right before my flight departed I was reassured that the information we had requested Expedia relay to the airline internally the day before, who we called when we couldn't get through to the airline, WAS able to convey this Special Meal request and I was going to have food on the flight, so I then did not purchase a bunch of snacks in the airport to have as options. The first meal in, no Special Meal was provided and I had to explain then entire situation all over again. They assured me they would figure it out and get me taken care of. However, no one who assisted me conveyed this to anyone else on the flight and every time food was dispersed, same situation. This was stressful and exhausting and the options provided me were modified to be gluten free, such as an entire plate of fruit for my snack, instead of the protein heavy snack everyone else received, because there truly wasn't extra for that type of dietary restriction. This was stressful and I was very hungry on the flight. One of the attendants got me a few chunks of cheese from first class, but otherwise, it wasn't great. I would advise travelers with Special Meal requests NOT to fly with AirCanada."

Miinukset: "Service could have been faster. Do they not give nuts anymore or a full can of soda? Plane has never been cleaned judging from the ventilation grills and the floor, perhaps in another lifetime..."

Plussat: "I managed to get on an earlier flight with a standby ticket."
Miinukset: "First, my original flight got delayed to an arrival time that would’ve made me miss the last shuttle to my final destination. My options were either to stay overnight in Vancouver or hire a taxi. Both options would’ve cost me at least $300. Thankfully I had a longer layover in Toronto that gave me some buffer. Otherwise, it would’ve been an additional expense."

Miinukset: "For 2 1/2 hours the baby was kicking the back of my seat. I Thurber around a few times, said something once the the so called parents were not willing to help. I mentioned it to the flight attendednt but being a full flight there were no seat. Changes available. The parents even switched seats but only with each other, they kept the baby behind me. I can only hope they have a baby kicking their seat in the future"

Miinukset: "Delays and harsh trubulance (altough i know that wasn’t air Canada’s fault for the weather) The changing of gates and the changing of boarding time without being updated on the application. The changing of the gate was changed moments before the boarding"

Miinukset: "I knew the seat pitch in economy was tight, but nothing prepared me for how truly abysmal it is. I’m 6’1”. My knees were jammed into the seat pocket. The fun continued when the passenger in front of me reclined their seat. I had to angle both my knees to the side. Without a doubt the most uncomfortable flight I’ve ever done. On a side note, AC switched equipment on this flight several times. Each time the ‘system’ would split up our seats. I had to call in five separate times to pick new seats. Also, at the gate they were asking passengers to voluntarily check in carry-on as there may not be enough room on the aircraft. First time I’ve ever heard that."

Miinukset: "Almost missed my flight because an Air Canada representative insisted I could not use my visa debit card for the luggage fee. I then tried to pay cash, but he said that he didn't accept Canadian currency, so I would have to use the ATM to withdraw American cash. I did, and the fees were ridiculous. Then, he didn't have change to break the 40$ i withdrew into his $25 fee. I proceeded to follow him as he walked around for twenty minutes asking random people at the airport if they had change for a twenty. It was very embarrassing and stressful, as I already was in tears from saying goodbye to my partner. Boarding the plane wasn't a problem, but getting on a plane in Orlando, Florida with the air conditioner broken with a plane of 300+ was outrageous. It felt like a sauna in the airplane and the kids were screaming in discomfort, something a 20-something like myself wanted to do as well but had the control not to. It's a shame because we used Air Canada a lot to travel back and forth to visit each other, but with this last trip we will no longer be using this airline and will shop for alternatives who are worth the price of admission."

Since we left Vancouver late, we arrived late and had to sit on the runway for 30 minutes until we could get a gate at LAX. Again the pilot keep us informed and apologized for the inconvenience, The staff was very friendly."

Plussat: "It is convenient to take Air Canada from our town and connct in Toronto."
Miinukset: "The staff are barely polite and do not really care about the passengers. No smiles, Not friendly or welcoming. We trwveled in US last month.. What a difference in attitude. The food was awful, bordering in inedible. (example salad was cold canned corn with shreds of cabbage and no dressing.) Breqkfast was a piece of bread with choice of orange or tomato juice. No tea or coffee. They lost one of our bags, no apology and another company handled the search and return. No reason given to leave it behind. baggage and carry on rules are complex and complicated, and you never know when they will decide to enforce them and penalize you. If you can get there any other way don't go Air Canada."

They did switch our boarding passes to a later flight, but only 1 of 3 pieces of luggage arrived in chicago (as did also to 4 other families on our flight) it took 2 more days until we received them."
Plussat: "Flight was delayed 4 hours, however the boarding was efficient and the crew were very friendly."
Plussat: "Pathetic delay time that was not weather related, they should have had another plane. I will not say that I will never fly Air Canada again just because departure time may leave me no choice but given a choice that suits my travel schedule it will not be them."
Miinukset: "The flight was at least 1/2 late leaving. We were told we had to detour to Toronto to refuel as the plane couldn't hold enough fuel to make it to Los Angles. This caused us to make an unplanned stop which added a total of another 2 3/4 hours to our trip. Really not enough fuel to make a trip we paid for. The cabin was very warm, and we had already eaten our food we brought. Many people missed connections... Not pleased with Air Canada"

Miinukset: "I haven't been on a plane with no tvs in more than 10 years. The least you could do is let people know prior to boarding. Like when you purchase the tickets or 24hours before!"
Plussat: "That there was no delays or anything, at any point, very easy."
Miinukset: "The crew waited so long to start selling food. Then, by the time the cart got to where I was sitting (only halfway back) they were already sold out of the two things I wanted to buy. The tea they served was the dregs from the bottom of the kettle, nasty and bitter. There was no "entertainment," except a crew member renting out a couple of ipads that connected to the wifi. The luggage compartments are oddly shaped so that you can only put your luggage in the long way. It a misuse of space. A lot of people had a hard time finding any place to put their bags. During takeoff, one of the luggage compartments opened up twice."
Plussat: "Seats are confortable, meals good and the crew are very nice"
Plussat: "-Staff was friendly and helpful. -The food is pretty good, and comes frequently enough -Cheap! -The flight was delayed, but at least Air Canada automatically rescheduled my next flight for me (which also ended up being delayed, but I'm happy this issue was resolved well before going through customs with a ticket for an airplane which had already begun boarding/departed)."
Miinukset: "-Air Canada baggage drop only open after 1pm -The aircraft was delayed, forcing my next flight from Toronto to have to be rescheduled. That flight was also delayed, so although I was supposed to be in Boston at 7:25, I arrived at around 11:25. All that extra time was spent waiting at Narita and Toronto. -Although I was seated next to a bathroom, I was at a window seat and thus had no good access to it for the whole 12 hour flight -- most of the time the way out was blocked by tray tables. Overall space was somewhat limited."

Miinukset: "I get it, weather happens, but airlines should have figured out by now how to make any issues that come from that as painless as possible. Air Canada did not have it together. There was little communication and coordination. People had to wait multiple times in ungodly long lines while agents spent way too much time with each customer. There was misinformation and lack of information given by agents and at times no one to help at all. When there's weather it should be all hands on deck until the effected customers get to where they need to be. Otherwise it's an aggravating and nearly intolerable experience. Commercial airlines have been around for 60+ years - figure it out already."
Plussat: "Staff was extremely nice and the plane itself was comfortable- loved the leg ."
Miinukset: "Flight to Vancouver: Upon arrival I was told that the luggage from my flight 557 was misplaced and put on plane 775. I had to wait an extra two hours for luggage in customs. I was late to the wedding festivities in Whistler that evening. Flight to Los Angeles: The plane was 30 minutes late. We board the plane and discover there is a sensor issue. We wait 30 minutes. then another 30 and then another 30 as more and more news comes about that the problem is not fixable. We de-board and have to wait in a long line at the complete opposite end of the airport. By 1:00am the line has barely moved and all hotel vouchers has been used. I have to spend the evening on a bench in the airport as a single woman- not comforting. I missed important meetings the next day as I am on the flight home. I understand accidents happen but it happened on both my way there and back. My flight home should have been refunded as it put me in a very insecure position and effected my work performance."

Miinukset: "Not clean aircraft. My luggage left behind in Toronto.No entertainment unless you knew by chance that you need to download an application and having your own device.."
Miinukset: "My one checked bag did not arrive,. And when I reported it, there was no tracking for it. It was stressful because I had one night before I was leaving for a back country trip and the " lost" bag had " no hits" when the bar Cade was scanned. So I spent hours trying to find someone who could assist me. I lost one whole vacation day dealing with the bag issue. Sure wish I could get some compensation."
Miinukset: "My biggest complaint regarding air Canada is the poor service and indifference typically exhibited by their service staff."
Miinukset: "We left 2 hrs. late. I had only 45 min. to catch my connection in Frankfurt. Had to run through that huge airport with a broken toe!"
Miinukset: "Terrible Air Canada ground service in Beijing Airport. Very slow service cause I missed the fly. Very bad attitude when I asked to change fly time."
Plussat: "Cabin crews and the actual flight was an alright experience, it was the personnel on the ground."

Miinukset: "My carry on bags were checked in till Toronto and NOT lax ??? Checkin crew not helpful caused me lot of grief- I had to get the bags out from customs at Toronto and then take them on board for the flight to LAX- Customs and immigration- unnecessary hassle!!"
Plussat: "Crew was always very happy and helpful. Came by a lot for drinks and such"
Miinukset: "It was really cold, even with two blankets. Sometimes hard to hear the intercom. Food is kind of iffy"
Miinukset: "2.5 hour delay and this seems fairly standard with this airline. Going to Toronto we had two long delays and one cancelled flight."
