"I had bought a ticket with two checked bags but when I did the check in they made me pay for the second bag saying it wasn’t included in the ticket. Some drinks ran out, including lemonade, ayran and some juices. New Istanbul airport is not fully ready for passengers. In some toilets weren’t water and papers. Very long walking distance till passport control area, we walked about 20 minutes."

Miinukset: "Flight to Istanbul was fine. The flight back was a terrible experience! During our connecting flight in Athens our boarding passes wouldn't print at the self service computers and there was no one to help us so we had to go back out to the front desk. The airline representative was extremely rude. There was 5 employees standing around the computer with NO customers and when we asked if this was Turkish Airlines and if they could help, the woman (manager) responded "this WAS Turkish Airlines" as if they were done helping customers for the day (it was 9AM and our flight was leaving in 45 min). We explained that we couldn't print our passes and she ROLLED her eyes as if it was an inconvenience to help us. THEN on our flight from Istanbul to Chicago, a passenger died an hour into the flight and they placed the body on the seats behind us for over 10 hours! Nobody even told us what happened! We didn't know if they died from natural causes or if it was something else! They didn't offer to seat us somewhere else or even inform us they were placing the body there. We were completely shocked and uncomfortable the whole flight home. We couldn't eat or sleep. We're completely disgusted and scarred from this overall experience."

Plussat: "Turkish Airlines is a wonderful airline. They treat all there passengers well. The food was excellent and the cabin crew was multi lingual, pleasant and helpful. They made a long flight very comfortable and pleasant."

The signage wasn't clear and we waited in line for 15 minutes before realizing we had to be in a different line, for which there was only one attendant checking in for three different flights all leaving at the same time. When there are three layers of security at Attaturk airport, everyone waiting to check in were rightfully worried they may miss their flight."

Had to take a bus to the airplane and the ride was not exactly short - I'm pretty sure the plane was parked at the very other end of the airport. When we finally took off it was exactly an hour later than scheduled. That's the first time I've had a delay longer than the actual flight."

Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

Miinukset: "This flight was for my mother, who is an old woman. On her way back from Belgium to Chicago, she has a layout more than 14 hrs. In this case the Turkish airlines were responsible to offer her a stay in a hotel, however this time they did not offer her any."

After 5 days of waiting, more than 50 calls to customer "support " that barely speak English, I was forced to go to "Airport " to chek what is the problem with my request. Over there they helped me, and everything was fine after that. But this is RIDICULOUS, that I need to go to f... airport to solv the problem. Never ever turkish!!!!!!"
Plussat: "I like the food served on Istanbul-Kabul leg of my trip. A bit different from the usual menu but really good. Boarding, departure, and arrival were on schedule."
Miinukset: "It was raining a bit but we had to ride the shuttle bus from and to the plane. We got wet while climbing the stairs to the plane. I wish we used the tube gate instead."
Plussat: "My flight was from Pakistan to new York. Pak to Istanbul was the worst experience. The bassinet seat was on my legs and my daughter was laying inclined. They increase the number of seat which impact uncomfortable leg stretch. But same airline will offer the wonderful plane from Istanbul to new York JFK. You know why???????? Because it's USA :D"

Miinukset: "Flight was delayed in Frankfurt due to technical issues. That was fixed, but ended up missing the flight to Minneapolis. Lufthansa provided vouchers to hotel and shuttle to the hotel (holiday inn express) and back to the airport. We stood out in the cold for 45 mins but the shuttle did not show up. Ended up taking Uber to the hotel only to find out their shuttle service does not start in the morning before 5:30 am. They booked me on a 6 am flight with 5:45 boarding time. The hotel scheduled a taxi to pick me up at 3:30 am to make back to the airport on time. I ended up spending $70 and I’m totally exhausted. I wished I just stayed at the airport. Not to mention the quality of the hotel accommodations is less than average. Very disappointed with how this whole situation was managed."

Plussat: "Had a horrible experience on another airline the night before. Got this free that flight and booked with Lufthansa a few hours before take off. We were not sure what to expect but we’re pleasantly surpirsed with the entire experience. Definitely would recommend."

Miinukset: "For starters, they sat my 12 year old daughter 6 rows away and both of us in center seats so no one would switch with us. Mid flight, my daughter asked to switch with me since the guy next to her kept asking personal questions and was making her uncomfortable. Second, the in flight entertainment did not work. Third, I had pre-ordered a diabetic meal, they “think they may have given it to someone else.” Fourth, one hour delay making for a tight connection. And finally... they lost my suitcase. Should arrive in a few days."

Miinukset: "The plane was older 747-400 but that is no excuse for the layers of dirt or dust on the air vents and ceilings. I actually took a photos and will be forwarding to Lufthansa. The couple in front of us actually took a wet wipe and wiped down there area and ceiling. Also the boarding process was a mess we actually were taken by bus to the aircraft that was at the freight depot and had to climb stairs to get on the 747. I’m not sure how they handle the passengers with mobility issues. First time flying with a European airline and I was told the service was better not on this flight."

The captain didn't turn on seat belt sign at all; others turn it on after 3 or 4 seconds of slight turbulence and leave it on for the next 30 minutes even when it is smooth after that."

The plane was hot and no air to be found. This was all after we had to get back off the plane before takeoff. It was terrib"

Plussat: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Miinukset: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."
Plussat: "And i got it 2 days later. I had to buy a lot of items which were in my suitcase The returning of the suitcase was awfull. In tge end after many phone calls I received it On the 18/12 evening, 2 days after my landing"

Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."
Plussat: "787 is a great airplane. The 3-3-3 seat configuration leaves enough seat width to be just comfortable in coach."
Miinukset: "No proper info regarding cancellation. Staff was unfriendly and abruptly responded to passengers."
Plussat: "Crew was courteous and polite! Entertainment system had some great movies at no additional cost."
Miinukset: "Poor communication between delta, KLM and Air France meant that I couldn’t check in online and get a digital boarding pass. Furthermore I couldn’t use the check-in kiosks because my name was listed as Reidmr instead of Reid, which meant that my boarding pass did not match my passport. Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

Miinukset: "Boarding was a disaster as my companion was selected for random search which held us up as there was no urgency to process us. Then there was no sign for where we should go since upper deck on 747 so we went in "economy" line as indicated on ticket and then was sent to correct line when we got to the front, wasting more time. The seatrs were the most uncomfortable I have ever beeon on for a long flight. I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us."
Plussat: "Perfectly on time, no hassle, seat OK. This is the way I appreciate a flight."
Miinukset: "Food. No choice, three "madeleine" (sweet) cookies for all, no sugar-free (salty) alternative..."
Miinukset: "Boarding (by bus) was a total chaos. I had to stand for about 50 minutes, either on the crowded bus or, after climbing with great difficulty three flights of stairs to a high jet-bridge (I am 76), standing there forever with 200 persons waiting to get access to the plane. Totally unacceptable. They started the boarding process early (50 minutes before departure), but passengers were allowed to actually board the plane at the time it was supposed to take off."

Miinukset: "No leg room at all, cant believe those seats met legal standard. The plane smelled, boarding was a nightmare because too many people had big bags. An announcement had been madd that vags would be collected, but obviously were not."

Plussat: "The food, beverages and choices of movies, entertainment There was a medical emergency that caused the flight to land in Canada. This was handled very professionally - I hope the passenger ended up getting the care needed and is doing well."

Miinukset: "Staff just walked away while we were in line, the rudeness and mean attitude, they blamed us for being too late after ignoring us and made us late, they didn't offer an alternative flight until we asked. Overall, horrible customer service. Never been treated so rudely by people in the airlines industry in my entire 42 years of flying!"
Miinukset: "Crew not only lacked sensibility to understand the purpose of an emotional support dog but kept harassing me about the dog being tied to my seat. At some point a flight attendant even tried to touch my dog, invading my personal space. When the dog rightfully acted defensive trying to protect me, the crew member started threatening me that he would have the dog sent to cargo, the last thing a person with an emotional support pet wants to hear. Extreme lack of professionalism."

Miinukset: "boarding was a little odd. we had to take a bus across the tarmac and board the pane from the ground. We were not sure what entrance was closest to our sets ended up going the long way."
